I called Abel on August 15 as I was pressed for time to go to Lowe's and get a part and replace it; after describing the problem and texting photos of the lock mechanism he came out that afternoon. He sounded very personable on the phone and explained his fee structure and he offered a two-year warranty on his parts and service. Sounded like a winner to me. He replaced the lock mechanism, the door worked, and went on his way. Less than one week later, the latch was doing the same thing. I contacted Abel again, and he wouldn't return my call but only corresponded via text. That two-year warranty? Don't believe it, as he texted me back it worked when he left, we both saw it work, and I never heard back from him again. Meanwhile, I'm out $240 as I wrote a check for once and didn't use my credit card. Needless to say, I think Abel is a rip-off artist and I would not recommend him to an enemy.
