I have been getting my nails done for years and last April I developed a gel polish allergy. I didn't feel myself without something on them. I gave my nails a long break of no product whatsoever. I recently started my search for a salon that uses HEMA free products. I already followed Sugar Pop on intsagram and was pleased to see that they have a line of HEMA free gel polish, Coloris! I picked a very pigmented red and I am in love! Vianey, was very thorough and made sure I was comfortable with what she was applying to my nails and explained what products she uses on other clients with allergies and how they worked for them. Got my nails done here for the first time today. My apt was at 545 and I didn't get called back until 6. Took an hour to do a manicure and that was just to shape, file and polish. The massage was only a few seconds long. The nail tech did a good job. Little ray of sunshine with their dazzle dry polish. I took my step daughter here to get our nails done recently. We got the dazzle dry manicure and it was one of the best, if not the best, non-gel manicure either of us have ever had. The nail polish never chipped, my nails felt strong like they do when I have a gel manicure, and the polish lasted WEEKS without chipping. The only reason I had to redo them was because they were grown out. My step daughter's nails still have polish on them and they haven't chipped at all and it's truly been like 6 weeks. Sweet little spot! The staff their is friendly and my best friend and I enjoyed a relaxing pedicure from Mercedes and Kaytlin. They both were considerate of the water heat levels and just super professional and nice. I am in love with their pedicure scent menu. You got some really fun scents that I haven't seen at other nail shops (coconut lavender, sandalwood amber, prickly pear, etc). The shop is a small place and it would work for you and a Bestie, but maybe too small for bridal parties and such. It has a cute ambiance with it's all-black-everything with a touch of a girly balance. 4 pedi stations and I believe 5 mani/nail stations. I went in a few weeks ago for a builder gel removal by Vianey. Leaving the appointment, I noticed that I still had a significant amount of gel left on a few nails, and went back in to get the rest removed. Vianey was kind and agreed to fix it, but once again, there was still a significant amount of polish leftover, to the point where I just decided to purchase a nail file and do the rest of the job myself. I'm sure they do a great job with their other nail services, but if you're looking for a removal, save yourself the time and money and either go somewhere else, or do it yourself. read more

This was my first experience at Sugar Pop nails & it didn't disappoint. I booked the day before with Andrea after researching nail salons that were good at designs. When I went in I was immediately greeted by her and we started right away. I wasn't sure what to book online as they have a level system depending on the intricacy of the design. I selected Level 2 for these, but they were supposed to be Level 3 in case anyone needs a reference. I showed her my reference picture and she duplicated the design perfectly. She paid very close attention to detail & did great at directing me through the process. She made sure I was happy with the length as I'd requested short nails, and even the shape of the french tip. I was treated to a manicure for my birthday from my best friend. She did a little research and booked this location after determining the location was close to where we would be having breakfast. For the time we wanted, they only had one technician available, so we booked back to back appointments. It worked out fine, we had a nice time visiting with each other and taking turns. Anya was our technician, and she was great. She did a nice job with each of us and was pleasant to talk to. She made us feel welcome and comfortable during our visit. My operator was sweet as can be, but the overall service was terrible!! Every single finger is inflamed and bleeding from her cutting my cuticles. This can cause infections if a tool she used was not properly sanitized. If you look up the definition of cuticle it is a protective part of your nail just like eyelashes are for your eyes- cuticles should never be cut!! My nail girl was Amazing super talkative and very down to earth and funny. Her name was Kandyse. I spent over a $100 and I felt it was worth it. Especially the pedicure. They give you way more for the price then anyone around my house. I came from Saratoga springs to try this place. My drive was over a hour. I will come again. I have had established acrylics for 4 years and am pretty rough and tumble on them with my workouts and weightlifting. Plai did my first fill here and I am SOLD. Perfect shape. Strong. Sturdy. I always get my nails filled every two weeks and they still looked amazing after unpacking and crossfit. I love this place and I have only had two fills here. Clean. Quiet. I think part of it was the polish because the white polish looks perfect. The polish of one of my toenails is already gone. Another thing I noticed is they don't clean your cuticles or dead skin here. Which is one of the reasons I get manicure and pedicure outside of my house. This might just be how the salon does. Getting a pedicure here was like going to a spa and was one of the most relaxing experiences I've had in a nail salon maybe ever! I booked my appointment online after hearing about the salon's opening from Monica, the owner. The decor of the salon is pretty posh and modern with a few pedicure chairs and manicure tables scattered around the place. The salon looks like it should be in New York City or Los Angeles from the inside. My pedicure was so relaxing! I was offered water before beginning the treatment and got to select a bath scrub scent before beginning the pedicure. I wish I could have tried them all! I also liked the paraffin wax treatment, though I was told it would not come standard with the pedicures and would have to be added on as extra in the future. Sophia did a great job on my nails. There are a ton of colors to choose from on the wall, though not quite as many as other salons, in my experience. I still was able to find a great color, though. I would return if only to try the different scrubs! I had a great experience here and hope the salon does well. read more

I called sugar pop for the first time last Thursday to get my nails done. I was told they had an appointment open if I wanted to try gel extension. I asked how durable they were and some other questions. I was assured they were great and would not pop off sooner than acrylic nails. I went ahead and tried them. Terrible mistake. They cost 70 without the tip. I usually pay about that, but not for basic press on nails! My thumb nail came off the same night and the rest followed 4 days later! I paid 70 bucks for nails that came off within 4 days. I am a single mother and cannot afford to be putting another 70 out 4 days later. They looked terrible after the second day and actually stained within that time. I work in an office and don't smoke either. Crazy. Anyways, I believe in giving an honest review. They may do great acrylic nails and other things that I have never tried with them, but I wanted to make y'all aware of the press on nails they call "gel extensions." This was my first time and last time at this salon. Definitely not worth the price I paid. The lady that did my nails was nice but did not take direction well on the shape and length of my nails. On top of that I started getting an infection on my nail (I think she cut too deep) a couple days later. The skin on the side of my fingernail started turning green and super swollen over the next couple days. It was to the point where I could no longer take the pain and had to go to the ER to get it drained and was put on antibiotics. This mani/pedi ended up costing me over $200. Emailed the salon and did get a call back but they refused to refund me in any way or try to rectify the situation. Definitely try another nail salon. read more
