First time I came here it was amazing cuticle care and sides of toe ingrown removal. I asked twice for it and they told me to just ask for it ok I understand so I asked for it and still yet he was not doing it. He was so timid not really taking much off. Not scrubbing the dead skin off. This experience so so terrible. I need to go get another pedicure with someone not so timid so my feet are soft and nice. I'm mixed about this place but I would go back with some stipulations. I found this spot while I was in town. Got a basic mani. I did not get a hand massage (not included or they forgot), and it cost $25. Their polish choices were limited in my opinion. Everyone is so focused on gel these days and I would have to redo my nails in 10 days because they grow so fast. Regular polish, if done well, usually lasts 10 plus days for me too. The shape and cuticle care for my nails were meticulous so bravo to my nail artist. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART FOR ME, so pleased on that. Communication was very hard though. The paint job was good but the top coat didn't coats all sides of the nail which in turn caused chips by the next day. My gal also diluted the polish, which I hate when they do because it causes bubbling! And low and behold, that's what I got. I repaired it on my own and used a quick dry top coat. I asked my gal if it was quick dry, and I don't think it was. I was also confused because the base coat was in the top coat jar. I would go back with my own top coat and maybe polish choices. I couldn't find a soft white or soft pink there. Mostly very opaque styles of these colors. The have a HUGE walk of gel colors though. Staff was nice but would have liked a massage, which I think she forgot, because I think massage usually happens after gel. Not with a regular mani. read more

If you want the short review: You won't find another salon in Salt Lake City that has the same level of customer service, the reasonable prices, and the quality work that Queen Nails provides. I've tried many nail salons in SLC over the last 4 years, and Queen is the only one I continue to go back to. If you want the long review: Queen Nail Salon impresses me every time I go. Appointments/Walk Ins: I've done both. I appreciate that they prioritize their appointments and always start them on time. Walk ins have always been taken care of in a timely manner and with the same great customer service. Quality: I've gotten gel nails, full set acrylics, and pedicures here. The gel nails have lasted me longer than any other place I've been, and my full sets are always shaped perfectly. The pedicures are really great, and they even let you choose the scented lotion for the massage part. The massage chairs are always clean and comfortable. Customer Service: I've never received such great service at a nail salon until I came here. The owner is always so positive and loving to every customer who walks in. I've always been greeted upon walking in and walked to my chair. They give great recommendations on what I should do for a specific look and genuinely care about a good experience. They also offer water/soda to customers. If for some reason I wasn't 100% happy with what I got, they have never given me any problems about changing it and tell me not to apologize when I do. Every single time I've gone, I've had a friendly experience. They're sooo beyond great here. Cleanliness: I recently went right before they closed to get my acrylics taken off. I was there after closing time and got to see how well they clean their space. Every pedicure chair was wiped down and cleaned with care. It wasn't a quick wipe down, they really cleaned everything. The floors were cleaned, the counters were cleaned, and all of the hand towels were freshly washed and folded. I genuinely appreciated the effort they made to keep things so clean and sanitary. Miscellaneous: I recently got back from vacation and needed my acrylics taken off because I am not allowed to wear nails/nail polish at work and I had to work the next day. I called on Saturday and was offered a time slot at 7, which is when they close. I appreciated her squeezing me in even though she could've said no and gone home. I've had acrylics taken off at other salons, and they just basically pulled them off. At Queen, she took the time to soak my nail polish off and soak the acrylic to get it thinner before filing them off. She soaked them, filed, soaked them again, and filed again so that she could prevent damaging my nails. Quaint little spa located in a busy retail shopping mall. Plenty of free parking and easy to find. The store itself is relatively new, I understand. It was clean and well maintained. I noticed that tools were sterilized surfaces were wiped down between each customer. I had a manicure and pedicure done. The massage chair that I sat in for my pedicure was a bit weak. I could tell it was working, but the pressure was pretty low that it didn't really do much. The lady who did my nails was nice-not overly talkative, which I appreciate. Sometimes I just want to relax. :-) I was a little disappointed that the paint on my nails started to chip off a couple days after they were done. I'm not sure if that was due to the paint being old or poor quality, but I didn't even get to keep the color on a full three days before I had to take it off. Other than that, it was fine. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews but I've never been more disappointed in my nails. My nail artist was so sweet but she did not do what I asked. She asked if I like rounded square or "square square" and I told her square square. They're definitely rounded and not a defined square. She also made them waaaay too narrow and even pointed it out to me while she was finishing up, before I even noticed. The color is absolutely perfect, but I spent $70 on my nails for the shape to look horrible and to have 4 of my nails bloody and injured. I ended up asking for a file so I can file them down myself once I get back to my hotel. I feel like that might help them not look so narrow. Overall, I do not recommend this salon. read more

I came in for a simple nail removal and they repeatedly were very pushy about trying to upsell me on things without telling me that there was additional cost involved. Eventually, I let her rub lotion on my hands, I did ask her not to remove my cuticles just to push them back, but she cut them anyways. Then when I went to pay, they charged me $36 for a full manicure rather than the simple removal I had gone in for. when I tried to discuss with them, how this was not appropriate, and they had never informed me about the up charges they just laughed me off and told me that was the cost, and that I had agreed. I had an appointment at 11:30am for a manicure and a pedicure and I just left at 2:10pm. 2.5 hours. Almost 3 hours of my day and I had to wait like 20 minutes in between services because they were taking clients that just walked in when I was there first. I got an acrylic manicure and I feel they look so unnatural and bulky. For my pedicure I got the Deluxe won that is $45, and I felt it wasn't thorough at all. He didn't file any of my toe nails except for the first toe, and didn't scrape underneath my toenails. I didn't get a paraffin wax with this either for that price. I'm mostly just disappointed with how neglected I felt and how long it took. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I had a terrible experience at a different nail salon a couple months back, so I was SO GRATEFUL to have found this place. The atmosphere is clean and very relaxing. I appreciated the time Tracey took to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my nails. I have incredibly sensitive nail beds due to years of damage.
