Went here for a couples pedicure. And it was great. They did a really good job. And were very meticulous and even stayed open late for us because we were the last customers. No complaints and they did a great job. Pretty expensive though. read more

Stopped in for a pedicure and was treated better than expected. The massage chairs are amazing, they offered us water and sodas and cookies, the place was super clean, everyone was attentive and the pedicure was fantastic. Great leg and foot massage with hot stones! read more

First time I came here it was amazing cuticle care and sides of toe ingrown removal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked twice for it and they told me to just ask for it ok I understand so I asked for it and still yet he was not doing it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was so timid not really taking much off. Not scrubbing the dead skin off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This experience so so terrible. I need to go get another pedicure with someone not so timid so my feet are soft and nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I don't know how else to tell them that he is not doing it well. Idk. I might come back but if I do it won't be with this guy. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a good pedicure there once before so tried a manicure while I was in town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, the polish bubbled on every nail within an hour of leaving the salon. Didn't have time to return for a fix so had to remove the polish once I got home. I'm mixed about this place but I would go back with some stipulations. I found this spot while I was in town. Got a basic mani. I did not get a hand massage (not included or they forgot), and it cost $25. Their polish choices were limited in my opinion. Everyone is so focused on gel these days and I would have to redo my nails in 10 days because they grow so fast. Regular polish, if done well, usually lasts 10 plus days for me too. The shape and cuticle care for my nails were meticulous so bravo to my nail artist. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART FOR ME, so pleased on that. Communication was very hard though. The paint job was good but the top coat didn't coats all sides of the nail which in turn caused chips by the next day. My gal also diluted the polish, which I hate when they do because it causes bubbling! And low and behold, that's what I got. I repaired it on my own and used a quick dry top coat. I asked my gal if it was quick dry, and I don't think it was. I was also confused because the base coat was in the top coat jar. I would go back with my own top coat and maybe polish choices. I couldn't find a soft white or soft pink there. Mostly very opaque styles of these colors. The have a HUGE walk of gel colors though. Staff was nice but would have liked a massage, which I think she forgot, because I think massage usually happens after gel. Not with a regular mani. read more

First time getting my toes done here. Very friendly. Pedicure was 45 dollars and felt it was worth it. Only -1 star because my color doesn't look great. I got a yellow color and I think it needed a third coat. They did accommodate our party of 6. And everyone enjoyed their pedicure or manicure. They did a great job on my 4 year old niece! I was in SLC for the day and decided to try Queen Nails out. The shop is clean and they offer you a complimentary drink (soda or water) which is nice. Mai did such a great job on my nails. She paid attention to details that were important to me, like the exact shape I wanted and making sure my nails were painted efficiently. Visited from out of state so this is not my usual place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The nail tech was great and my dip nails looked great when I left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not 4 days later, almost every nail is broken. These were done very thin and they're breaking so easily. I'm having to go in a week after to get my nails done again. Waste of money. Disappointed. read more

Haven't found a good nail salon in Salt Lake yet so figured I'd give this one a try....I wish I hadn't gone here. One star because she did a decent job of shaping my nails, but will not be returning after what happened to my cuticles. They also cure their dip powder with UV for anyone that doesn't want the UV exposure. read more

Quality is severely lacking. Prices are way too high. A full is $52. A full set is $62. I went 4 times. The first time was great, the second wasn't, so I tried again and the third time was great even though she was rough with my nails and grounded too much away. This last experience was even worse. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a terrible experience at this salon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came in for a simple nail removal and they repeatedly were very pushy about trying to upsell me on things without telling me that there was additional cost involved. Eventually, I let her rub lotion on my hands, I did ask her not to remove my cuticles just to push them back, but she cut them anyways. Then when I went to pay, they charged me $36 for a full manicure rather than the simple removal I had gone in for. If you want the short review: You won't find another salon in Salt Lake City that has the same level of customer service, the reasonable prices, and the quality work that Queen Nails provides. I've tried many nail salons in SLC over the last 4 years, and Queen is the only one I continue to go back to. If you want the long review: Queen Nail Salon impresses me every time I go. Appointments/Walk Ins: I've done both. I appreciate that they prioritize their appointments and always start them on time. Walk ins have always been taken care of in a timely manner and with the same great customer service. Quality: I've gotten gel nails, full set acrylics, and pedicures here. The gel nails have lasted me longer than any other place I've been, and my full sets are always shaped perfectly. The pedicures are really great, and they even let you choose the scented lotion for the massage part. The massage chairs are always clean and comfortable. Customer Service: I've never received such great service at a nail salon until I came here. The owner is always so positive and loving to every customer who walks in. I've always been greeted upon walking in and walked to my chair. They give great recommendations on what I should do for a specific look and genuinely care about a good experience. They also offer water/soda to customers. If for some reason I wasn't 100% happy with what I got, they have never given me any problems about changing it and tell me not to apologize when I do. Every single time I've gone, I've had a friendly experience. They're sooo beyond great here. Cleanliness: I recently went right before they closed to get my acrylics taken off. I was there after closing time and got to see how well they clean their space. Every pedicure chair was wiped down and cleaned with care. It wasn't a quick wipe down, they really cleaned everything. The floors were cleaned, the counters were cleaned, and all of the hand towels were freshly washed and folded. I genuinely appreciated the effort they made to keep things so clean and sanitary. Miscellaneous: I recently got back from vacation and needed my acrylics taken off because I am not allowed to wear nails/nail polish at work and I had to work the next day. I called on Saturday and was offered a time slot at 7, which is when they close. I appreciated her squeezing me in even though she could've said no and gone home. I've had acrylics taken off at other salons, and they just basically pulled them off. At Queen, she took the time to soak my nail polish off and soak the acrylic to get it thinner before filing them off. She soaked them, filed, soaked them again, and filed again so that she could prevent damaging my nails. It was incredible how kind she was to stay 30-40 minutes after closing to keep my nails healthy. They know what they're doing here, and they're doing it right. Thank you Queen Nails!! read more

While the owner of the salon was very sweet I paid $58 for a refill and 2 days later 3 nails are chipped. My nail technician seemed frustrated that I didn't upgrade my pedicure package and didn't even clean my cuticles. She unfortunately did my nails and again was frustrated when I told her I wanted white tips. She over shaved the side of my nail too so now my whole thumb is purple. I wish I would of gotten her name to advise on her service! She also didn't offer me any drinks while guest all around me were offered. Safe to say I won't return . read more

Quaint little spa located in a busy retail shopping mall. Plenty of free parking and easy to find. The store itself is relatively new, I understand. It was clean and well maintained. I noticed that tools were sterilized surfaces were wiped down between each customer. I had a manicure and pedicure done. The massage chair that I sat in for my pedicure was a bit weak. I could tell it was working, but the pressure was pretty low that it didn't really do much. The lady who did my nails was nice-not overly talkative, which I appreciate. Sometimes I just want to relax. :-) I was a little disappointed that the paint on my nails started to chip off a couple days after they were done. I'm not sure if that was due to the paint being old or poor quality, but I didn't even get to keep the color on a full three days before I had to take it off. Other than that, it was fine. read more

Wanted my nails done for my sister's wedding that I am in. I walked in without an appointment at opening and they were immediately able to get me started. I had very specific instructions because of my job. I wanted a full set but I needed them shorter and thin. I brought in a picture of what I was aiming for. Amy was amazing and exceeded all of my expectations. She was also very friendly and offered me a drink which I politely declined. I was also pretty pleased with the price point. I was really disappointed with the service today. Two hours and 10 minutes later I walked out with my toes done for a pedicure! I had an appointment at 5:30 pm. It was so slow. Each step was so slow. I wasn't the only one bothered by the slowness of service. The ladies near me also had the same experience of over two hours. Don't overbook your slots Queen Nails! I hate leaving negative reviews but I've never been more disappointed in my nails. My nail artist was so sweet but she did not do what I asked. She asked if I like rounded square or "square square" and I told her square square. They're definitely rounded and not a defined square. She also made them waaaay too narrow and even pointed it out to me while she was finishing up, before I even noticed. The color is absolutely perfect, but I spent $70 on my nails for the shape to look horrible and to have 4 of my nails bloody and injured. I ended up asking for a file so I can file them down myself once I get back to my hotel. I feel like that might help them not look so narrow. Overall, I do not recommend this salon. read more

I was in from out of town visiting my kid at U of U. I called last min to get my nails done because it had been 4wks since my last fill and the growth looked silly, so I was kind of desperate. They are close to the University and had cute nail art on their Yelp page so i gave them a call and the manager was super accommodating to get me in within my limited time available. They did a great job and were super quick. They were busy from 10 am when the doors opened til I walked out an hour later, so that say something also. These folks could not be any nicer. I got the deluxe pedicure and LOVED my massage. That said, the pedicure itself wasn't that great. The polish, dead skin removal, etc. could definitely use improvement. Again though, I thought they were super friendly and worked quickly but didn't make me feel rushed. Okay Queens! Got a pedicure here and was pretty great. Salon was clean and workers were nice. Reasonable pricing aside from $15 shellac charge (really!?) everyone does it unfortunately. I had an appointment at 11:30am for a manicure and a pedicure and I just left at 2:10pm. 2.5 hours. Almost 3 hours of my day and I had to wait like 20 minutes in between services because they were taking clients that just walked in when I was there first. I got an acrylic manicure and I feel they look so unnatural and bulky. For my pedicure I got the Deluxe won that is $45, and I felt it wasn't thorough at all. He didn't file any of my toe nails except for the first toe, and didn't scrape underneath my toenails. I didn't get a paraffin wax with this either for that price. I'm mostly just disappointed with how neglected I felt and how long it took. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

Tracey did an amazing job on my nails!!! What incredible service!!! Tracey was so fun to talk to and she is a true perfectionist. I had a terrible experience at a different nail salon a couple months back, so I was SO GRATEFUL to have found this place. The atmosphere is clean and very relaxing. I appreciated the time Tracey took to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my nails. I have incredibly sensitive nail beds due to years of damage. She suggested a dip method and she was extremely gentle with my nails. I did not have any pain afterwards! I also enjoyed my pedicure. Brittney did a great job! The massage was amazing! My go to spot for nails! The staff, service, and quality of work are all amazing. I have had many pedicures here and I always come out of the salon with happy feet:). The massage chairs at the pedicure station are top notch. I have also had a few manicures getting a full set with dipping powder or acrylic. The quality and attention to detail are amazing! The entire staff is is super friendly and always take good care of the customers. Also special shout-out to the wonderful Amy! I've had her a few times now and she is highly skilled and the best nail artist I have had yet. I used to not be into getting my nails done but since I've started coming here, I keep coming back. I took advantage of her special Halloween deal pricing and booked the appointment by 31 October. But the unique upside with Lex was that she didn't charge more for men than women! I've seen some studios charge upwards of 33% more to wax a male...so that was what hooked me! I showed up yesterday and was immediately comfortable being around her and her nicely decorated studio suite (yes, images of cats are everywhere as one would expect. ) I've also been enjoying her crazy, clever, and humorous sales graphics/adverts on her website and Instagram sites as they are a real kick to read. Lex was just like an old friend that I'd known for years, I was THAT comfortable around her. In fact, I learned more about skin, skincare, and waxing from her in just this one appointment than all the research I've done over these many years...all while getting up the courage to pull the trigger on my first wax! Lex is a wealth of knowledge on the subject and offers a complete array of esthetic services and 'cosmeceuticals' for her clientele...besides just waxing. My manzilian went as expected...and yes, a few of the 'pulls' stung like a biotch. But Lex's use of a cold damp cloth really helped extinguish the burn, so to speak. She used both a soft wax and a special hard wax - both made for men - on me, and it was over before I knew it. Then came the manjacial which was soothing and helped further cool any hotspots that remained. All in all, it was a great 1st waxing and exactly what I expected. However, what made it special was the conversation between us during the entire appointment. Her process and product knowledge, professionalism, and warmth really make it a wonderful experience. That's for the tl; dr review readers. For the review readers interested in knowing more about my glowing recommendation: I go to Salt Lake Waxing Co. every six weeks! But it didn't start out like that... Ten years ago, like many adults with body image issues, I was not only scared waxing would be excruciatingly painful, but I couldn't fathom being naked and spreading my legs open like a frog in a well-lit room, let alone have a stranger looking at me in that vulnerable state. However, the desire to be hair-free compelled me to what you're doing now: reading reviews and trying to glimpse what to expect. Every six weeks, I see Juls for what we call the "All The Things" treatment. "All the things" starts with my brazilian wax. We're so busy catching up that I hardly notice what's happening down there. Before you know it, I'll roll over on my side into a fetal pose and with a few quick strokes, she's done, and I am gloriously hair-free from front to back! Next are my lower legs (full legs and butt cheeks are a must in the summer), my armpits, and my mustache! Next, her esthetician expertise really shines when she does my brows. It's not just a "brow wax" like you'll get at your nail salon. She's paying attention to my face shape, hairstyle, and hair color. Those details matter, especially if you're like me and opt to have your brows tinted. I always leave with perfectly precisely shaped eyebrows that fit my face and style. While the brow tint works its magic, it's nose time. Yes, I said nose. While plucking a single hair from within your nose is outrageously painful, surprisingly, warm wax on a stick placed carefully inside and swiftly removed isn't terrible at all. The nose hairs are gone without bringing tears to my eyes! No more troll nose. My advice to you: Book an appointment. Meet Juls. Ask questions. You don't have to start with "All The Things." Take as much time as you need to feel comfortable. Keep making appointments. Try something new. Around Halloween, she usually has a cute sign that reads: "You can't scare me; I've seen it all!" I believe she has. You'll get no shame, shock, or judgment about your body or skin--just a skilled professional who cares deeply about helping you look and feel your best. For me, that's very freeing! Juls has taught me about my skin and helped me become comfortable with it. Bonus tip: Get your armpits waxed. Seriously. Your armpit skin is some of the toughest on your body. It took me too long to get on the armpit train and even longer to get on the nose waxing wagon. It's so worth it!
