2 stars because they have mood polish and I get excited to watch my nails change colors. I've been twice at this new location. First time the lady had me confused for someone else and thought I worked for Walmart. The lady started my nails, and then I was moved to the guy. I asked him if he liked doing nails, he told me no. He was very fast, the acrylic wasn't even touching the back of my nail, I already looked like I needed a fill. I told the lady they weren't okay, she told me to sit with him again, he drilled the back part down to make it smooth instead of adding acrylic to take it to the cuticle. I got mood changing gel, when I got home I had to shape the sides of my nails because there was a lot of overhang from the polish. The only reason I went back was because my kids got me a gift card for Mother's Day. The lady did my fill this time while my fiancé got a pedicure. The pedicure was apparently amazing. But my fill.. The acrylic looks decent butt again with the terrible polish. I had to file the gel in on all nails to take it off the skin. The polish is uneven and see through in some places. And in others it's bulging and now peeling off after only two days.. I do not recommend hi tek nails to anyone. Very disappointed. read more

I left almost crying I hate the nails. I wasn't going to make a scene but the shape was bad the color was bad. She cut me and made me bleed twice. It was Mother's Day weekend the place I usually go to was full & they couldn't see anyone else for the day. I went to a second place same thing. This was my 3rd choice. I should of just waited the month for my regular nail lady but I wanted my nails done for Mother's Day and they were very busy so they kept telling every person that walked in to have a seat rather than turning them away. If she hadn't rushed through my service I wouldn't of cared that they were accepting every person that walked in. I understand it's a business and they're trying to help everyone but that should take away from doing a decent nail job. The shape was bad my nails looked bulky and I was cut twice. Me & my gf went to this new location for pedicure. Truly it is not the same anymore, as what it was back then when they were next to Club DJ's. It was a slow day, with same employees & they rushed our pedicure service with no massages. After 3 days, my gf nail polish chipped off & she was unhappy. Again, it is not the same anymore. Great Salon!! Went there and got nails and pedicure done recently.. There designs are very different from other salons. Nails stay on for a very long time. Prices were cheap compared to other salons. I usually get gelish done from another salon but they did it very thick so it came off easily, but here at Hi Tek the lady did it for me very thin.. it stayed on for 21+ days like the ad said. First time I went I was in love. I've been hopping around salons trying to find one I like. I get long nails and I like the shape, length, and thickness to match. I had Bee and she did amazing. Not awkward to talk to. All nails shaped well and they were perfectly thin, but strong. My nails lasted about two weeks-normal for my nails. Everyone complimented them., i was so excited to tell them where I went! I work at a vet clinic to tough nails are a must! But then, I went in for my fill (I did walk in to ask what time would be best and I would come back, she said it shouldn't be long so I could hang out) I really didn't wait long at all. I can take years picking my color so waiting wasn't my concern. They also had a big party of pedicures to finish anyway. So I get started for my fill with a new lady... she was very nice, but I think was more in charge of the place because she was so focused on everything else. She stopped doing my nails to double check how the other girls were checking people out. I just didn't feel like a priority at all. My nail length was great! But as soon as she started putting in the gel polish it wasn't looking even. Maybe the polish was just getting old, but it was slightly bumpy and streaky. I'm not great at asking them to fix things because I feel like that makes them more mad, so I just don't go back to places with crappy nails. I got home and noticed one of my pinkies was super super crooked. I get coffin shaped nails so it's noticeable that even my boyfriend noticed. Pet. Peeve. By day 3 I had 4 nails lifting already. Day 5 and 4 have snapped off and another has started lifting. I work exact hours of the salon so I don't budget time or money to get a new full set after 5 days. Fix a nail I broke, that's fine. I'm pretty hard on my nails. But these broke off before I even went to work. One broke while I was typing on a computer. If they are that weak I would just keep doing my own sets at home. I wanna give them another chance. Ask for Bee specifically. But I was very disappointed with how my last visit turned out. But hey, three nails on each hand still strong so I can't take them off at home so I have three long slender fingers and two stubby naked fingers.. it looks ridiculous... read more

I get my nails done religiously, every 2 weeks. The lady I regularly go to is wonderful, but she refuses to hire additional help and is getting way too busy for my liking. So, I started looking around for a new place. My mom recommended this nail salon that she goes to and it was near my home, so I thought I would give it a shot. I made an appointment for 2 full sets (Myself and a girlfriend). There was hardly a wait which was great but once I sat down to start my set everything went downhill from there. The guy that was doing my set did not follow any of my request. I wanted a french tip set w/ color tips, pretty simple. I explained the color combinations, shape and length. I even brought a photo to minimize any confusion. He cut them much to short and filed them very uneven and unsymmetrical. He even told me I would get charged $5 more for shaping my nails. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, hoping that after the polish was applied everything would be as it should, but that was not the case. After my terrible set, I was passed along to a different technician that would be applying the polish/ art. I explained to her that I wanted polish and she questioned why I would want polish if I just got colored tips. (in case your wondering why... I like how it looks when i turn my hands palm up. It looks better than old yellowish fingernails, in my opinion). After I explained my personal preferences, she continued to give me a difficult time about the colors and design that I wanted. I just got frustrated and asked her to stop. I was clearly upset and just wanted to pay for the poor services provided. She (Hanna) made no effort in trying to rectify the situation. After paying I went to check on my friend a couple of chairs over. Her nails were marvelous and she wasnt charged extra for shaping her nails. I DO NOT recommend this place. If you do decide to go here only make your appontments with Linh. read more
