This is a fun shoppe if you're one of the following: a kid, a nostalgic adult, and/or a hungry & thirsty kid or adult:) Prices are standard for this type of specialty shoppe; they are NOT low. This is NOT the place to visit should you want deals. However, it is the place to visit if you have the money & want to find candy from your childhood (1950's up); many flavored taffies; sour candy; Japanese, Korean & candies from other countries; gag gifts; every type of sugared soda imaginable (cold or shelf warm); small games; bobbleheads; unique toys & candies; gum in a multitude of varieties, tacky metal signs; & a host of other novelties! Gift certificates in any amount from $5 to $250.00 are available. I came for the nostalgic candy cigarettes (SEE PIC); the Necco Wafers; the Sweetarts; & the liquor-flavored jellybeans. Also picked up cinnamon box-shaped lollipops for my students. Did I overspend? Of course. Will I shop here regularly? Of course not. But it is a cool, clean, well-organized shoppe that wreaks of nostalgia & future dental visits! I LOVE IT!

They have a wide variety of candies, unique items you won't find elsewhere. Some of the stuff is too unique and I suppose people don't want to try it so we have found from time to time to purchase an expired candy and find out later. It's a pretty neat place, they could use some friendlier workers and to unload their stock. Getting around the store with a stroller when the floor has boxes everywhere needing unloaded was annoying today.

My husband found a strawberry Charleston Chew and I was taken back to Junior High in Michigan. Might have been the last time I had one. Speaking of Michigan Faygo is available! Red pop, Rock N Rye, all the favorite. My kids were like a kid in a candy store...wait.... Ok literally "A kid in a candy store!" They picked out their must haves. 2 each and a drink. Great stuff, I wish they had prices posted or something. That was the one bad thing. Totally worth checking out. That Charleston Chew was pretty great while sitting on the couch watching Halloween. Kind of like the 80's all over again! Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bit of nostalgia!

The flashy and diner-esque Sugar Factory is a restaurant (not truly a full-sized candy store if…read moreyou're wondering) located within the Seminole Hard Rock Casino & Hotel Tampa. It's located on the second floor of the casino space and easy to locate. If you're wondering, the parking garages that are closest to the restaurant are Lucky Street and Winner's Way at the 2nd Floor/Casino level. After walking into the casino, it's a straight shot to the Sugar Factory as it's hard to miss with its bright and dazzling lights. The Sugar Factory takes a super playful approach at the dining experience as it truly makes everything a photo op. From the physical restaurant to the food itself, the patron is immersed in a "gram"-rich environment (light weight mad that the food here is more photo-genic than I am). It appears to be great for large groups and parties/celebratory events. There is a small candy/sweets section from where you can purchase those delectable morsels by the pound, along with other small trinkets. The menu is similar to other bar/grill-type restaurants (comparable to a BJs and even the Hard Rock Cafe). One main difference is in the focus that they place in their dessert/sweets section. The smoothies and ice cream go hard when it comes to flare and accoutrements (as mentioned before, they look more like art work than food itself). These treats do run on the sweet side... (4th wall break - c'mon look at the name). So, if you want to do it for the gram bring yourself and/or the group to the Sugar Factory at the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Tampa!

The presentation alone is worth it colorful, over-the-top, and perfect for photos. The service was fast and attentive, and the atmosphere is super vibrant and kid-friendly. I am completely new to buying and reading comics. Last year I watched a new Marvel series (new to…read moreme) named Moon Knight. Moon Knight was released in 22, but I didn't watch it until nearly after a year later. There hasn't been a season 2 released but let me tell you I fell in love with the first season and for the first time in my life, I wanted to know more about the characters of Moon Knight. My boyfriend told me Moon Knight had been a comic for many years and that I should check the comics out...so I looked up Dade City comic book store and Facebook messaged them asking if they had some Moon Knight comics... The manager of the Facebook page responded within 20 minutes and said they did and that the store would be open at noon (yesterday/Tuesday) (nice!!! To the fast response and I'm already loving that!) I find a parking spot near the old court house because it was about 12:02 and parking was not open near the store I'm assuming because of the lunch crowd around Beef O' Brady's. I walk in and the gentleman said hi and asked if I was looking for anything. I told him I was completely new to comics. He took the time to explain how comics work issue wise, how the number system works, how to see what comics were part of collections, told me of websites to check for other comics he didn't have and showed me some one off and special edition comics. He also explained how important it was that when it came time to read the comics, to carefully remove the tape from the plastic sleeves and throw it away immediately so that it does not catch on the comic. When I was through reading, put the comic back into the protective sleeve, fold the flap down and then tape it back down for storage. He also informed many people vacuum seal them as well. But to definitely be careful of the tape!!! I am pretty sure with the exception of about 5 or 10 other releases, I bought all that he had available. I walked out having spent $130 in comics and a bag full of Moon Knight comics. I am extremely excited and I am glad they are in the community. The gentleman, named Danny, also let me know they have an online store as well which is nice too.
