Super cute and giant candy shop! they have a great selection of candies/sweets. It's even attached to a massive gift shop next door! Only docked a point because we got a hello kitty surprise ball $10, that had candy and a "toy" but the "toy" wasn't even hello kitty related.

My kids and I had a blast at the Sugar Shack! It's not just a candy shop, there is a full-service Blue Bell ice cream parlor. If you have been to any ice cream parlor in Texas in the summer, the service will be a little bit slow, and it was the day that we went. We probably waited 15 minutes just to have our order taken, and then another 5-6 minutes to check out. They have only been open a month, and had wonderful attitudes and were excited for everybody in line. My kids found some really unique toys and candy. They've curated unique sweets, created a fun atmosphere, and so the "up charge" is there, but this place deserves it. They're brand new, locally owned, and I was happy to give them my business. I do wish that they had a social media account or website though!

If you like expensive candy, go to sugar shack. It was $10 for 1/2 lb!!!! It is definitely a tourist trap. On the plus side, the workers were very nice and friendly, and the decorations were very cool.

$16.39 for two handful of tiny (5 small but bigger size) jawbreakers!

SO EXPENSIVE. HALF OF A BAG WAS $32. No one helped us the entire time untill checkout. fun vibe but not worth it for the price.

We love Grandma B's and they are just so sweet (and sassy)! There's an older (than me) woman here…read morewho helped us on both sides who I think might be the owner. Or not but whoever she is, she's wonderful. We got ice cream, fudge, and truffles! All so good my pregnant heart was content. She was so gracious with samples and understood that sometimes when you're pregnant you think you want something and then it's awful. She even wanted to ensure that I sampled some of the fudged before committing. So kind! And not to mention she read the ingredients of the fudges and truffles to me so I could ensure I wouldn't get any I was allergic to. Extra mile points. The ice cream is Bluebell and the variety of flavors they have are GREAT! You can simply check the Bluebell site for which ones are gluten free which I did. We're heading back over from Port A, yes that's how great the service is in comparison to places on the island, to come here again.

It included a large fish fillet, oysters, large shrimp, coleslaw, French fries. We were not impressed. The oysters were very small and strong. My husband's fillet was not cooked all the way, it was thick. The coleslaw was ok, tartar sauce is made in house. The large shrimp were delicious:) The gentleman that is the head cook was very cordial. Ship the oysters but the rest was very good.

If you go too early, they won't even have any seafood out for presentation, and if you come too late, they will likely have sold out or have already taken the bounty away for the day. We came in one morning after buying shrimp from another place in town and mainly just wanted blue crab and fish. They didn't have blue crab, so we settled on snow crab. We also liked the red snapper here, so we got 2. I was also looking at cajun seasoning and their selection is very, very limited. I only saw one little baggie of seasoning. Would have been nice if they had more for those people that cook from home. I didn't end up purchasing the seasoning. The total came out to around $125 which I thought was a little high for what we got, but there aren't many other options in town. Service was ok, but not the friendliest.
