    Banana split
    Sean K.

This place is really cool. They serve Blue Bell ice cream, and we decided to share a banana split (see photo). After tax and tip, it was $12, but quite delicious in every way. And the view of the water is spectacular! The service was also good. They asked if we wanted the nuts on top (I assume to check for dietary restrictions) which was nice. I think the photo of the banana split speaks for itself so nuff said here.

The location of this spot seemed to have closed and now they serve inside the Snoopy's Pier restaurant. We ordered at the counter but I think they messed up my order. I saw the lady trying to pry something off the chocolate barnacle and it popped off, but I think it took a piece of the dessert with it. When I compare photos, I am missing the top chocolate piece. A little pricey for what it is. It did taste like a chocolate cookie and cream dessert. Good ending for the dinner meal but a little underwhelmed by the presentation if it's missing the top!

A great little spot for dessert! Located out on the peninsula just before the main bridge to Padre Island you'll find Scoopy's. Coincidentally located next to Snoopy's restaurant this dessert stop carries cakes, ice cream's, and sandwich treats. Our server was exceptionally pleasant and filter sent on the history of the area. We decided on a couple of items in store, and a couple of to go items for later! Everything we tried from waffle cone ice cream to tiramisu was fresh, delicious, and satisfied our sweet tooth. Newly remodeled it's cozy and quaint with a view of the bay while you enjoy a little bit of dessert.

I was charged $9 for a single piece of key lime pie. The pie was fine but nowhere worth $9. Their website says $5.99 a slice, when I pointed it out to the employee, she said "oh sorry that's not an updated menu." I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew I was getting a single piece of mediocre pie that cost nine dollars. Absolutely ridiculous

Service was really nice, I like the Sunday more, the brownie with ice cream wasn't my favorite, and I only like the moose on top of the cookie ice cream. U can eat outside with a nice view. I well go here again and I want to eat lunch r dinner here next with a another desert!!

Small cafe but very delicious! The girl that helped us was very sweet and worked quickly. The shop was clean and had a great view of the bay.

Great ice cream! Got Mocha and Almond, and my friend got Strawberry. We loved it! It was a good dessert for us after a good meal and some hiking. I would definitely recommend stopping here after a day at the beach or National Park.

The second best ice cream shop in all of the world in my opinion only playing second fiddle to rockadilly's in new Braunfels Texas. They serve some unique and truly tasty treats in the Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. I can't even express the awesomeness that is Scoopys so so good. They do have an issue with inconsistencies when it comes to portions but it all taste so good I didn't even care. I had the banana split, sweet sticky rice with vanilla ice cream and caramel and the ice cream they call the Barnicle. I recommend you try all three immediately, like now go.... Stop reading... You're still here.. Why are you still here and not eating the Barnicle. Why five stars and not JLfoodie certified: Inconsistency in portion control Recommendations: Sticky sweet rice with vanilla ice cream and caramel *Poor *Decent *Good *great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Best Service. Good Cleanliness. Great Value. Great I realize I'm a food snob, I eat out regularly some weeks 3 to 4 times which in my opinion makes me a bit of an expert on food, service, quality etc. I say it how I see it and I usually will give restaurants at least three chances before I give up on them and in some cases after some time has past I revisit the restaurants to see if anything is changed and my reviews reflect that change.

My family and I visited on a Sunday evening as it has been a place very special to my daughter. We walked in just for ice cream but, kids were hungry and they ordered sandwiches, while my wife and I went for Ice cream only. I had one of their specials which was sticky rice with ice cream. My wife went for a strawberry Sunday and they both were delicious, try it and you won't be disappointed. They girls had simple sandwiches, then had yummy warm brownies with Ice cream. We sat outside, enjoyed social distancing, and a great sunset on their deck.

Best ice cream on the island! Great service too!

Staff just stood and stared at them instead of asking them to take it down about 8 notches. It really took a good bit of enjoyment away for a lot of customers. Since breakfast was available, we went in that direction...for lunch. Served all day. I got the Islander and wife got the Silver Alert. Mine was basically a larger version of hers. The sausage was really tasty. The hashbrowns on my plate (she didn't get them) were exactly like McD's or other fast food joints. I was hoping for homemade style and not frozen fast food style. The eggs tasted a little odd to me...maybe the oil used? Still tasty, though. Bacon cooked crispy. Good breakfast overall. Wife did want to try a starter and she chose the baked goat cheese/toast appetizer. She really enjoyed it...not really for my palate. Personal taste there. Several people who left reviews mentioned the wait time. We were told it would be 30 minutes when we arrived...but there's really no place for people to wait. However, they found a booth for a group sitting just inside the door and then asked if we would like to sit there. Sure...problem solved in about 5 minutes. Aside from the wait/no wait situation, it took a really long time for service and arrival of food. It's a smallish seating area overall for such business. Hopefully business is so good they'll look to expand to accommodate such demand.

Pulling up into the parking lot, we got extremely lucky and saw a few people walking out; otherwise this little parking lot is completely full. We ordered the Philly Cheese w/ pasta salad, the Teriyaki Salmon w/ mac 'n cheese, and also Ahi Tuna sandwich w/ the soup of the day, being broccoli and cheese. Padre Island Burger Company gets a solid 3/5 from yours truly, and honestly mate, I'm being…read moregenerous because the atmosphere and seaside setting did a fair bit of heavy lifting. let me explain myself properly. This place screams modern tourist burger joint. The sort of establishment where every burger arrives with twelve unnecessary toppings, a quirky name, and a price tag that makes you briefly consider checking your credit score before ordering. Quite frankly the place should be renamed "Upcharge Central" or perhaps "Tourist Burgers Built for Photos, Not Stomachs" The outdoor seating itself is lovely though. Proper island atmosphere. Wooden picnic tables, sea breeze rolling through, cold drinks sweating in the Texas heat, tourists waddling about sunburnt and optimistic. It's the kind of setting where you want the burger to absolutely save your afternoon. Unfortunately... Mine did the complete opposite. I ordered their "world famous" Lulu Burger, their take on a jalapeño popper burger, and I genuinely believe it may have been one of the worst burgers I've had in the last couple years. Now look, I'm not against creativity. I enjoy innovation. But somewhere along the line society decided burgers needed to become science experiments. The moment that completely sent me over the edge? A massive slab of cold cream cheese slapped directly onto the burger. Not melted. Not slightly warm. Not blended into the burger. No mate. Refrigerator cold. The sort of cold where you could practically still see the HEB dairy aisle condensation on it. Completely threw off the texture and turned every bite into a confusing mess of hot beef meeting Arctic dairy product. Absolutely criminal behaviour. Now to be fair, my lovely date ordered the Hangover Burger which was noticeably better. Fried egg, bacon, cheesy goodness, all the things you'd expect after a rough Friday evening involving tequila and poor decisions. Still overpriced for what it was, but at least it tasted like somebody in the kitchen had a coherent vision. The sweet potato fries were actually quite decent as well. Crisp edges, soft middle, solid seasoning. No complaints there. Maybe I'm old school. Maybe I'm too particular. But when I think burger joint, my mental checklist is simple: Hot burger. Balanced toppings. Quality beef. Reasonable price. No culinary jump scares. And unfortunately this place missed the mark on several fronts. 3/5. Lovely atmosphere, decent service, and a fun island vibe, but the burgers themselves simply didn't justify the hype or the price tag.

I inquired rather it was stuffed with the crab cake or there was just one of each... waitress i formed me the crab cake covers the too of the fish like a crust. Unfortunately, im lactose intolerant so I can do cream base sauces which is all it seems like anyone has, so I just had them put lemon pepper butter on the pasta. It was good, the fish could've been seasoned better, without the crab cake there wasn't much there. Presentation needs some work. My hubby settled for the Po'Boy, ps the french fries are really good!!! Battered kind! We also got calamari as an appetizer, it was good rings but needed a lemon wedge & more sauce. I drank a Cocomo - just tasted like coconut - one and done. I think the wait time (15min) for waitress to bring us a box for my son and the check after she had walked by like 3x and not made eye contact or noticed we were empty played and pushed everything aside. I finally got up and asked the hostess for the check since we were sitting near the door. She did have several tables spread our all over the restaurant, so she was busy, but if you'll prioritize those that are done, it keeps your tip high, and then that table can be turned over. There are plenty of screens with college football and baseball on them on a Saturday night. Steady flow of people in and out, but not a wait. Wish they had legit outdoor dining because the weather and breeze was nice out. It's located in a shipping center, so there's plenty of parking, but not really a view, easy to access if ur headed off the island to the bridge, otherwise traffic can be a mess for a minute.

I'm not a professional food critic, but I do know seasoning, regional Mexican flavors, and what well‑prepared food should taste like -- and this just wasn't it for us. The restaurant didn't feel well-kept, and it appeared that only one server and one cook were working, plus we and another couple were the only ones there. We were served chips and salsa to start. The salsa, a taquera‑style orange sauce, was actually the best part of the meal. The chips, however, were extremely hard, not fresh, and definitely not warm. They looked house‑made, but whatever they were fried in made them almost inedible. I ordered the ribeye street tacos, and the steak was overcooked, had an odd taste, and wasn't enjoyable. I asked for extra cilantro and onions, which didn't happen, and the chimichurri they brought out was basically oil with a few seasonings floating in it. I almost complimented the Dr Pepper because it had a unique sweetness -- until I realized why. The red glass had visible staining on the inside. When I wiped the rim with my napkin, it came off dirty. They also don't offer straws, so whatever residue was in that glass is what you end up drinking. Between the food quality, the cleanliness concerns, and the overall condition of the restaurant, this was a no for us. How this place has earned such high mentions is honestly beyond me.
