Missed her 5:00 birthday surprise and not eating my favorite sandwich. The girl working was flustered and busy and I understood it wasn't her fault, but she went on to tell me the pizzas take precedence over sandwiches. Horrible service. No apology, Very disappointed. Do better, please. Update; we ended up getting a Dave's sub, long time local business, 10 minutes later we were on our way with a gracious smile from the staff. (still missed her surprise though, money spent & lost..) Also, I still haven't seen a credit to my credit card we used, and also received a gift card with a ZERO dollar balance.from the employee..‍ Finally my girlfriend sent an email to the manager (owner?) explaining the problem, only to get a snarky response with passive/aggressive comments like "thank you for trying to shop small when you can though" & "happy birthday to you though". And, when addressing the credit card refund, we were told "it takes 7 to 10 days call the bank" Thank you Erin, you've made this birthday one to remember, unfortunately not good memories. read more

A lovely little road side ice cream stand along the highway from Duluth into international falls or the Boundary Waters. I'm not sure who makes their flavors, definitely not done in house, but they've got a solid variety, plus some savory options. Best ice cream I've ever had? No. But one of your best options in this part of the state. Definitely a good alternative to DQ! read more

This was a great little place that we stopped at over Labor Day weekend. We all got coffees (lattes and an americano) and a strawberry scone. My americano was perfect. A friend and I met here this morning. The last time I was there we had very poor service. 2 hours and no food. We were told 20 minutes 3 times. Finally we chose to leave. Thought I would try again. The service was better- mixed up our order other than that good. The food? We both ordered stuffed hash browns. I asked for crispy hash browns. My friend ordered ham, onion , green pepper and comes with cheddar cheese. both hash browns were warmed up potatoes. Not a speck of brown. Hers had no onions or peppers with American cheese. LOTS of cheese! She took hers back and I took mine home to finish cooking. read more

This place looks so warm and inviting! This was my wife's and I first time eating here. It was so nice and welcoming, we just had ti try it out. The first thing that caught our was the wonderful fall decorations. You almost forget how fast time is flying by this year but the change in season waits for no one. That reminded me that I should get a fall drink. Thanks to the wonderful service we received they suggested that I get a pumpkin Chai Latte' which turned out delicious along with their other recommendation of getting the stuffed Hash Browns for breakfast. Their is a variety of them, so I went with the Southern Border. I was really impressed with how tasty, hot, and fresh everything was. My wife, Cassie and I both agreed that we will have to come back and try their other menu items. The service was wonderful, the ladies were happy to help and were able to answer a few questions pertaining to the food and menu. Can't wait to come back. Great lil place in my old hometown. I am from Florida now and in town for family. Had the quesadilla yesterday and the pesto wrap today. Both very good. This place started out as my coffee place but it has become my food place too. Very friendly! read more
