Lunch here today for four. Everyone loved it! They have a wonderful selection of wraps, salads, burgers. Portions are generous and everything is made from scratch. I had the mango chicken salad with poppy seed dressing. It was absolutely excellent, but the mangoes were dried. I get this is Virginia, fresh mangoes are hard to come by. Had the peach custard for desert. The taste was as excellent, but the graham cracker crust was really hard to cut. Everyone else had a wrap - they are big enough that unless you are really starving I'd order a half. This is our new go-to place every time we pass through! read more

Very cute, modern but quaint place. I stopped in for a latte to go but ended up perusing the restaurant and connecting store. Service was fast and efficient The latte was delicious and the food looked amazing but we needed to get on the road. I wanted to try their pancakes. The plates passing us looked so good. Showed up with a large party, approx 10 people. Put in order and waited 45 minutes only to be served cold food. Why was it cold you ask? Well, it turns out the lady in charge had a "plan" to let all of our food sit in the window and DIE. Not sure why they couldn't serve it as it was ready. Food sat 10+ minutes while they had no clue. This place is definitely a family favorite. It has a wide variety of menu items going from breakfast to dessert. I enjoy this place because it definitely helps to choose healthier options compared to going somewhere like fast food. The staff here are friendly and continue to make rounds for coffee refills and make sure we continue to enjoy the food. One of my other favorite things I love anoint Kunnaris is the plant and gift shop. During summer there's a large variety of plants for the garden along with homemade jams, pickles and gifts to bring home. This is a nice little place. A type of sandwich shop where it seems they make many of their breads and other things right there at the restaurant. When you walk in, you stand in line against the dessert display case. I have been twice, and both times they have the most amazing looking desserts. I had a blackberry/blueberry price of cake. It was a two layer white cake with a blackberry/blueberry middle and butter cream frosting with fresh blackberries on top. It was very good. Cake was very fresh. Both visits I had the Hawaiian burger. It's about a 1/3 pound burger pattied fresh, and cooked to perfection, with your choice of cheese a pineapple slice and a plum jam. The taste is very good. And both times the burgers have been very juicy. The only thing I didn't care fore were the fries. They are slightly limp, and a bit soggy. They have the consistency of fries made in an air fryer and I've never liked that method myself. I would still recommend thos restaurant and go back myself. read more

I really do mostly love Kunnari's. I have had many wonderful salads and sandwiches there. I love the gift shop and the locally grown produce available for purchase. However I was not impressed with the BBQ chicken sandwich I ordered. I would have thought that for the price the chicken would have been a real piece of chicken. But what I got was a chicken patty that was one of those "ground up and put back together" chicken patties. Like a chicken nugget. This whole place is AMAZING. Decor is cute shabby chic and very comfortable. The wait staff is the best. They make you feel like an old friend on your first visit. The food...you can't go wrong. We spent the night in Virginia last August. There wasn't a lot of activity, so on our way out the next morning I spot this place. It was all we needed. It's one of those places in every town where everything is homemade. I had a cheese omelette and Basil had one with ham and a side pancake. My side was hash browns. We grabbed mini muffins and cinnamon rolls for the road. All delicious. A nice iced tea and OJ hit the spot. I spent a lot of time wandering the store and the awesome bathroom. Pretty great food here. I ordered the Breakfast Bake and thought it was delicious. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked, with just the right amount of cheese. When you come here, you order up at the front and they bring you the food. I think their menu is rather busy, as they tend to have other items that is not listed on the online menu. I don't think their prices online match their actual prices, so be prepared. My Breakfast Bake was almost $2 more than listed online. read more
