Never in a million years did I think I would regularly be getting my brows waxed and my lashes tinted. On a friend's advice I went to Tricia last year and I've never looked back. It was the least painful wax job I've ever had, and my lashes have never looked more amazing. Seriously, I've gotten a lot of compliments on my eyebrows and lashes - again, something I never would have expected. Like a lot of girls, I don't like some of the normal feminine rituals - like wearing makeup; enter lash tints! - and the best part to me about Tricia (and her gorgeous new salon) is that I never feel pressured to be any different. I got the festival package, a tan, eyelash tinting, Brazilian, and eyebrow waxing. 3.5 stars. Not a bad experience, but I ended up with results I wasn't happy with. Everything seemed rushed. It's a lot to do in 45 minutes. I've done just one of these services in 30 at other places, so it seems there isn't time for attention to detail. The rundown: Eyelashes: Looks nice, not sure I'd do it again. It burned and stained my eyelids. Was panicking a little about the burn and Tricia eventually let me know it was normal. Would have been nice to understand that up front. Eyebrows: Disappointed. See the pic. They don't belong on the same person. Looks like I'm raising an eye at all times. Had little time and lighting to review the work so didn't notice till I got home. San Franzilian: Good Brazilian. A few stray hairs, but no pain and very comfortable and quick process. They give you a pretty decent tan at a bargain price if you get their Groupon deal. However, I found that their formula was much stickier than others and streaked easily during application (especially on the legs). The streaking was so bad for me that my legs looked pretty bad coming out of my appointment, and I was pretty worried about how it would turn out. Luckily, most of the color you see initially is just bronzer so it will come off with your first shower, and you can even out your tan fairly easily with some strategic rubbing / exfoliation. Come here if you're looking to get a cheap tan in advance of your Cabo trip, but go somewhere better if you're getting a tan for a special occasion. I had a much better experience at Bronze Organics - the staff there obsess over making sure your tan is even, and their formula didn't make me leave a butt imprint on my toilet seat. read more

Met with the waxing specialist, who was quick and very sweet. Also, my wax was done perfectly! Then met with Dawn for my spray tan. She was very nice at check in and had a smile on her face the whole time. Easy, painless process for my spray tan. They have two options: 8-12 hour wait before shower or the 1-4 hour wait time before shower. I opted for 1-4 hours. Waited and showered and thought my tan came off in shower. Called dawn and she was SO sweet and offered another free service to touch me up. Yay! However, I kept getting darker and will cancel it. If I got another touch up I would be very dark. Haha. However, I truly appreciated the service and the ability to get the touch up with no questions asked. I will definitely come back here. Great place with cute items to purchase inside. I came on a Sunday so Tricia was sidetracked training a new receptionist. I got a san-brazilian which is basically almost a brazilian. Also had my brows done. I read a lot of reviews about Tricia being fast and she is, but it is a rushed job. At the end of my brazilian she didn't do any plucking with tweezers so half of my hair is already growing back (after 48 hours). Also, she left me very sticky with wax (eek!) and I had to open the door half naked and call for oil or something to clean up so I could put my underwear back on. Then for my brows, I was pretty disappointed actually. She rushed through them, I won't say anything is majorly wrong but there were obvious random stray hairs that I had to deal with on my own once I got home. I came to The Tidy Shoppe for a pre-Coachella spray tan and I thought it was just an A-OK experience. The shop is adorable and I loved the ambiance, however, the owner who sprayed me gave off a very snarky vibe. Here's what I liked about my experience. + I was running a bit late to my appointment and the receptionist was super nice and chill about it. No shade thrown my way for walking in 10+ minutes late! + Loved that they sell products from local businesses. + I bought a really good deal from Groupon What I didn't like. - My initial conversation with the owner. Owner: What color do you want for your tan? Me: Mmmm.. I'm not sure, I just don't want to turn orange. Owner: Well I don't carry any orange color solutions here. I found that response to be a little snarky. I don't think any spray tanning business stocks orange solutions purposely, but they just sometimes turn orange on the skin! Also, the question is such an open ended question to begin with. If she wanted a specific answer, it would've been helpful if she had presented some options. I don't work in the spray tanning industry, so unfortunately, I don't know the names of the colors. After I mentioned Coachella, she immediately suggested that she knew the shade for me since many other Coachellers came in for tans. - In hindsight, this is my own fault. I should've asked for one shade lighter than what everyone else was getting, but I ended up showering shortly after I got home because the solution became really dark on my skin. I've had many other spray tans before, so I have a general idea of what it should look like... and the color that it was turning did not look right. - I found the reminder sign on the receptionist's desk to tip off the original price, not the discounted rate to be a little tacky. Although I would've tipped off the original price even without the sign, I think tip should be determined by the customer. I'm not sure that I'd come back to The Tiddy Shoppe. A full body spray tan and a full set of lash extensions. My spray tan was done a couple of weeks ago by Bo for my trip to Vegas and I came out looking like a bronzed goddess. Yes, it was the perfect pool party tan that I was hoping for. Lashes... Bo also did them for me and I am in love with them. She's the sweetest, personable and made my time there comfortable. Unfortunately, I have found that my initial skin reaction to almost any salon waxing has been to break out all over the top and sides of my forehead. This was the case after getting my eyebrows done, even at the aptly named, Tidy Shoppe. The girls were great about letting me come in on short notice, also offered other services such as tinting, and were professional. It was brief, acute and over before I knew it'd started. Eyebrows looked fine, and I was out the door. Later that night I started to see irritation, then little zit-like pores started to sprout, but my bangs covered well enough. The first time I scheduled a brow/lip/chin wax with Tricia, was for a Sunday (which they are supposed to be closed) but I thought maybe they were open for a few hours, and then I got a call saying there was a computer glitch. No worries, it happens. The second time I scheduled a brow/lip/chin wax with Tricia (based on all the great reviews), I got a call saying she had so many event appointments that week, that she could not make it (on the Saturday apptmt). Disappointing but I really needed this wax so I went with Debbie. Debbie was fairly friendly, but I felt a little rushed out of there after paying. She was super quick with the brow/lip/chin wax and the lip & chin were excellently done! Unfortunately I went home and plucked about 20 hairs from my brows because she didn't seem to do much about the sides (there was no shaping, just clean up). I recently moved to SF from SD, where there is a spray tan place on every corner. To say the least, I have tried some baaaad tanning spots. With that being said, having so very few tanning places up here, I was extremely nervous to go. What are the odds I won't turn orange? Well, the odds were ever in my favor. I have had a spray tan from both Erica and Tricia here, and I must say 5 stars all the way! I'd driven by Tidy Shoppe a hundred times and was always intrigued by the style of the shop. One day I finally decided to search it on yelp and had to go see for myself. Easy bookings online for an appointment. All services are clearly defined so no surprises once you get to the shop. A few clicks and my first spray tan was booked. Love the decor inside. Cute gifts and vintage clothing that any gal would like. I was warmly greeted and made to feel extremely comfortable my entire stay. I am sure I don't need to explain how wonderful it is to be welcomed and made comfortable when you have to strip naked in front of a stranger spray tanning you. I was at ease and confident when I left with my newly bronzed skin. Erica and Tricia are pros, and my tan is beautiful and natural looking. Came here after finally deciding I needed help. I've done my own brows for the last 10 years and as a MUA I tend to go for a more made up and super arched look. I ended up being sick for a good three months and my brows were a mess! Always saw this place and decided to schedule an appt for a brow threading with Tricia who ended up being amazing! My brows are naturally pretty fine and round in shape but she helped to angle and make them a bit fuller. I still need my brow powders and pencils for a bit more definition but she's absolutely helped get them back to a more natural state without being bushbrow lady. I recently started going to the Tidy Shoppe for spray tans and waxing services and was very impressed by their services for both. I had been going to Stript in the Marina, but I love supporting local Richmond spots.The staff is very friendly and professional. The spray tan application took about 5-10 minutes and lasted for about a week and a half. I received multiple compliments on my even tan. I will definitely be going back for a spray tan so I can look glowing as a bridesmaid. The waxing was quick and painless as a wax can be (about 15 minutes). I had a brazilian wax and an airbrush tan from Tricia. I'm a seasoned waxer, so I know what I am talking about when I say this is the woman who should be shaping your bikini area.
