I have never had a bad experience at Sugar Studio after many years of regular visits. Karli is the best esthetician around, her facials are luxurious with an excellent scalp massage and she was able to identify and help my skin problems better than when I saw a dermatologist. Not to mention she's the coolest person to talk to while you're getting sugared. I'll continue to have a coochie gangster membership for as long as my coochie grows hair. read more

This place was highly recommend so I drove two hours for my first birzilian to see a certain girl who I won't name. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. Ladies in the front were awesome and down to earth. I asked if I could have my girlfriend join because it was my first time but unfortunately the young lady said NO. I feel if my girlfriend was in the room with me things would have been different. The lady turned out to be a mean girl. Not talkative it was like pulling teeth. My girlfriend said "you'll love her she's quick and efficient". She was totally the opposite. I was extremely crushed because I really wanted to give this girl a chance. I asked the lady to finish the outside and I'll do the inside myself if you know what I mean. She asked me to rollover and did my back side. She gave me a rag and walked out. Mean girls are real and she should be ashamed of herself. I honestly didn't think she would leave me like this. I should have looked before I left. Shame. Shame. Shame. read more

I'm so disappointed because I've heard such good reviews about this place but my skin is literally burned!! I went for a basic brow wax and left with large burns on both eyes. Darby did a amazing job on my lash lift! I was amazed yesterday when I got it done and saw how lifted they got but had to wait 24 hours to put mascara on and OMG right after I put mascara on I was so happy that I do not need to get lash extensions anymore. I had a facial with Karli. I booked online for one service and she recommended a different one once she evaluated my skin. I followed her recommendation and was satisfied with the end result. My skin is acne prone and while traveling it flared up. Karli was professional, knowledgeable and gentle. GPS said 10 min from West Beach Rd but I didn't take into consideration the speed limit getting through town. The name of business is visible but it's a bit unclear where to enter. Someone was kind enough to point out it was next to the barbershop. I enjoyed my first visit and will be back, thank you Karli and team for the quality/relaxing facial. read more

I always schedule with Arika , I've had 1 other specialist do my Brazilian sugaring and it was very painful. Arika some how made it 100% less painful! I believe it's her technique from start to finish! I honestly will only get my sugaring done by her. I'm Not saying that the other specialists aren't as good but from my OWN personal experience. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking to get this service done. Good spot for your hair removal and spa needs. The only thing they don't offer is hair cutting. Like any places that have multiple different staff members, the style of your service may differ depending who's assigned to you. I prefer to see Arika as she's thorough but gentle plus gives my brows a good shape. I haven't personally tried any of their other services. I scheduled a massage for my husband during his birthday. He said it was ok. The therapist lathered him up "like a turkey" in oils and wore gloves during his entire session (neither one he had requested) so he felt very awkward. read more

I had the most wonderful experience here! I live in B'ham but visited family over the long 4th of July weekend and I'm so glad we stopped here on our way back home! Had an eyebrow wax with Jen. My eyebrows typically react after waxing (major-almost like an allergic reaction) so I get them done very infrequently. I told Jen about that and she told me they use a cream (cortisone?) sometimes after which helps. She took her time, asked questions and I am so pleased with the results! And a bonus-I had NO reaction this time! Both Stephanie and Jen were super gracious too when I walked in and asked if my husband could change our son's diaper (since they were waiting for me as we were getting ready to drive back home). This place is an adorable little shop of greatness! I went today for my first spray tan ever. I'm from Florida and being tan was just natural so when we moved to Washington and I can't hang out side for much at all. First of all let me start by saying- I did have an appointment for yesterday but had to cancel last minute when I realized that you should exfoliate and can't wear lotion or anything and Jen was super understanding. She talked me through the process and what to do to get ready. She was seriously sweet as can be! So I came in today and they have this adorable studio. Upstairs is where the spray tan booth was. Small but appropriate. ( I mean you don't need a lot of room for a spray tan ya know?). Anywho Karli was very good at making me feel comfortable and not out of place! It didn't take long at all! At first I didn't really notice a huge difference but about an hour afterwards, it totally showed! I'm one day out and it is great! My face is kind of wearing but I wear make up so I expected that! So the tan itself was $30 each time. BUT they offer a monthly membership for $55 with unlimited tans! Whatttttt! Super good deal since I am to go every 5-7 days! ! I really do like this place and I totally hope everyone checks it out! I'm totally asking about the Brazilian next :) read more

I can only tell you about one sugar artist and she is amazing! I am not going to tell you her name as she is quite busy as it is and I don't want it any harder to get an appointment with her. All the staff I have met are super nice and very professional. They have a great response time in calling clients back/responding to emails or texts. They have a text message confirmation alert and you can book online if you don't like talking on the phone. They have an amazing list of services and from what I have seen and heard they are amazing at those services. I highly recommend go to sugar studio if you need anything that they offer! I have been a member for 2 years and it's usually $50 a month for unlimited sugaring service buts it's hard for me to justify paying $33 for them not to provide a service. read more

I had a great experience here! This was my first time trying sugaring and although it was a little painful for a Brazilian it was well worth it. All the hair was removed evenly. I am looking forward to going back in a few weeks. They use wax for facial waxing and that worked out well.
