This place discriminates and gives bad service. The owners daughter has used racial slurs towards me when i simply went in to look. She told me not to touch any of the dresses with my dirty brown hands. This place should also be investigated, it seems like a cover up for something else. We've visited this store before when searching for a dress for my partner, and unfortunately, the attitude displayed by one of the workers during that visit was unwelcoming so we left. Today we decided to take my sister to look for a dress for prom, turns out they charge you just to try on a dress. I would understand if the dresses were high quality but they're not! Honestly, my sister, mom, and I had a really good experience. When shopping for my quince dress a lot of stores don't have them instore but this one did and they had a wide selection as well. There is a small fee to try on a dress but def worth it because then they stay in good condition. As soon as we walked in my sister spotted the dress she had been looking at, tried it on, and we all fell in love... bought it the very same day. We were looking at dresses & she yells from the counter "no food at all in here" & I said ok we aren't eating anything I was just holding a bag of chips for my son. We are walking infront of the counter, mind you my son is right behind me, he gets close to a dress & she runs to "save" the dress, pushing it away from him so he doesn't touch it as if his hands were dirty or something & grabs him by his head & pushes him & says "go, go with your mom" so rudely! Seriously, they start off nick picking the location and quality of dresses -- um hello, you are at the (run down) Fulton Mall wanting to get a cheap knock-off so do not condescend the business. Secondly, just because you are a potential customer does not entitled you to tie up the dressing room or a store assistance for hours. Sheese some common sense here folks. There's complaints about no signs limiting how many try-ons; there wouldn't be no need if you did not use this place as your own personal closet. Lastly, speaking of signs, signs are posted that NO CAMERA are allowed and yet YELP reviewers post pictures from inside shop. The struggle of legit business owners are for real. If I could give zero stars, I would. Worst experience ever. I came in, on Sunday, February 20th around 2:30 PM. Upon entering, I went to look at dresses. All of the sudden, one of the employees. (or owner, I'm not sure) came up to me and grabbed the dresses out of my hand. He was a taller man - the only male in the establishment. Confused, I thanked him because I thought he was going to take me to a room. Suddenly, he said "get out. I won't sell to you." We asked him what the matter was and he said I was "looking at him funny." He kept repeating that over and the over saying that - he was incredibly aggressive as well, raising his voice and arms at us. At this point, we were livid. He had no right to do that let alone say anything to us. We asked him why but he insisted I was looking at him strange. He said I had no right to look at him, when in fact, I was not. I asked him why again, but he kept saying that. I asked him why he believed I was looking at him, to which he started yelling and profiling us. He then went on to be racist and say derogatory words. When we said we would call 911 and write a bad Yelp review, he got scared, and went back to his desk/front area before continuing to say "You were giving me bad looks. You looked at me badly. You looked at me weird" and different variations of the same phrase. I have no idea what he said, and am shaken from the experience. He was a racist and rude excuse for a man. I urge anyone who wants to go dress-shopping to avoid this store and go to the stores across the street with employees who treated us with kindness. He had no right to speak to me, or anyone in that manner. Everyone who walks into that store is a potential customer and should be treated with respect, or at the very least not accused of something or bothered. And from the looks of the other reviews, this isn't the first time this store has treated others poorly. I will NEVER return to this shop and will tell others not to as well. read more

I was browsing the wedding dresses and asked a salesgirl if they could custom order a dress for me if I came back to be measured and fitted. She seemed very friendly. Walked into this store with a friend looking for a long formal dress. The quality of fabric of these dresses are thin and your typical China made dresses. The prices are absurd anywhere from $100-$200 and probably more. The dresses are nowhere near the quality that you can purchase at a nearby department store. The outside of the store has the county road construction going on so it's quite a journey to walk into the store from the outside. Since we were already at the store my friend found it harmless to perhaps check out their merchandise. This place had a busy rush so we waited about 15-20 minutes for a dressing room to be vacant. So my friend picked TWO dresses to try on. Only TWO. While in the dressing room the helpful assistant threw in her thoughts and made suggestions to try on additional dresses she was able to pick out and provide. So my friend went from 2 dresses to about 5-6 dresses.. Still the length was not long enough. However, the assistant gave my friend a dress that seemed to fit the bill, but was too big so she needed a smaller size. The assistant got held up on a customer call and while I did my friend the favor of finding the smaller size I was interrupted by the OWNER. He asked us to leave because my friend had already tried on too many dresses! I was really shocked. I asked him if this was his store policy and if so where was the sign to indicate this rule. He stated he didn't have a sign and that we had to leave. I informed him that the additional dresses outside of the two my friend picked were suggested and brought into the dressing room by his own helpful employee. He cared less and didn't want our business for no other reason other than trying on TOO many dresses?!? There's plenty of signs throughout the store that request no picture taking of the dresses, but prior to leaving I gladly took a picture of the rude owner to post so everyone can recognize him. We have bought from them Sugar Sugar before, and we too have been racially profiled. My sister and I look different because of our genetics, but did the lady seriously ask if we wanted a separate bill? Absolutely not. Also, another woman who had been ASSisting us had told us "that's a quince dress". WE DON'T CARE IF IT IS A QUINCE DRESS ITS A DRESS. Horrible service. I took my daughter in to look for a prom dress. She's very petite, but busty and does not have hips. So it's hard to find dresses that suit her body type. She tried on 4 dresses that didn't work out for her, then we saw 2 dresses that would've probably fit her better, but we were told by one of the assistants that if we wanted to try more, we would have to ask the owner. I thought this was ridiculous so I went to go ask him if that was correct, and he asked why we had to try on so many dresses. I told him that the dresses were expensive and asked him how does he expect people to purchase these dresses without trying them on first. He mumbled and said, which one do you want to try on? I said that there are two more that my daughter was interested in and pointed them out to him. They were both over $150 each. He shook his head and said "If you don't buy, you waste my time. Maybe just try one." So I laughed (because I could not believe how ridiculous this was) and told him, "No, your store was a waste of my time. I'll go across the street and buy her dress there." And the front lady was extremely rude and condescending. When we asked to see a dress she appeared annoyed and reluctant to show it to us. The price shown was not the price we were given because she had to order it in the color we wanted. We were being charged double. It was advertised at $99, however she wanted $200. There were signs everywhere asking you to not touch anything, no pictures, to put your phone away. And my mom and sister were basically asked to leave the store once for having their phone out when they came without us. Don't come here. Prices are ridiculous and customer service here is nonexistent. Instead we went to FEMME, directly across. Everyone there was great, helped find a dress in the right color and did not charge us to order it in the size we needed. read more

The man behind the counter shouted "no more" after she had tried on about 6 or 7 dresses. We followed the 3 dresses in the dressing room limit, and were careful with the merchandise. My daughter had decided on a dress, but needed to try a smaller size. We asked if she could try it and the man shook his head no.
