I had an issue with my tan where it came out a little bit orange, and I left an initial Yelp review expressing that I was pretty disappointed. The next day, I got a call from the owner of Sugared + Bronzed, Courtney, apologizing for my less-than-optimal experience! She was so sweet and not only refunded my tan but also gave me another free tan. She believes that my issue may have been because of my skin type, and that instead of the regular tan, I should try the express next time. I believe that 100% because I have had some experiences that were fantastic whereas my friends did not think so, even though we did the same tan. I have special skin I guess ;)! Needless to say, I will absolutely be coming back! I am optimistic to try the express tan, but even if I got a tan that was a complete disaster, I would keep coming back because of the FANTASTIC customer service. I really enjoyed my appointment today. I was a little nervous going in because I knew I wanted to be nude for the allover result, but right when I went in the booth I became completely comfortable. I went topless with a tiny thong for minimal lines on the bottom. I talked with the spray tanner about the color and she did a custom mix to meet my needs. Bronzed Airbrush Tanning is by far the most amazing tanning location. I have been going to the Dana Point location for about 2 years. Each visit leaves me with the perfect flawless NATURAL looking spray tan. I have never looked orange or too dark. The formula used is perfect. As for smell of product, it is not very fragrant at all, and I am very sensitive to fragrances especially with having to keep in on for hours. I have tried both the standard and the express tan (only leaving it on for MAX 4 hours) and have received excellent results with both. I prefer the express tan because its more convenient obviously. I highly recommend Bronzed Airbrush Tanning and I am excited about the new upcoming locations!! You girls are awesome. read more

This was my first time spray tanning. I have heard and seen them not turn out so well-looking orange and blotched. But my sister was getting married and I was white!! My friend said this place was good so I gave it a try- I Love it-it came out great and natural. Just make sure you choose the right right shade-I'm white and chose medium and it looked natural. Was very impressed with the service. The tan looked wonderful and lasted more than a week. Most impressive though was the customer service. I am hard of hearing - half deaf. The session is loud with the machine and the fans going, which makes it very hard to understand. I told the woman about my hearing issue, and she immediately adjusted her volume and clarity and gestured to indicate how I should stand for each spray. I wish I had gotten her name. After a not so great experience with the Newport location, I called the Dana point one to see if could get a better experience. Sure enough, I did! Heather was honestly the best ever. She was sooo sweet, personable, and had warm vibes. She made my Brazilian wax experience super fast and as comfortable as you possibly can in that situation. Upon returning and requesting a 1 inch area treated...I'm kept waiting 45 minutes, and then asked to wait for another customer after that. I expect professional treatment when I pay $20 for five minutes of care. I will not return. read more

I barely made it through my first one because I chose a sensitive week to go in but my sugar-er (?) was lovely and put up with me wiggling around. I came back yesterday for my second after zero upkeep in between a March appointment and now. I was scared but knew it was time to get it done. THIS TIME WAS ALMOST PAINLESS! I am bright orange. I have been here 4 times and been a different color every time. I wish they would pre-mix their solution so that each time you went the color was the same. I was happy with the color last time but right now I look like a carrot! Very unhappy. Sad because the girls that work there are very nice. ***update*** The owner called me and apologized which goes a long way with me. She explained what may have gone wrong with the tan. Although it doesn't make it better to be at all the pool parties this weekend I appreciate their efforts to make it right. They offered for me to come back on them...I may wait awhile but I might give them another shot. read more
