I have been here several times in the past 3 years for brazilians, and have always had a good experience. I prefer sugaring because of the clean/minimal ingredients and the fact that it's less painful than waxing. Most recently, I came in a couple times during my third trimester of pregnancy. I am a huge fan of Sugar Mama's Skin Studios! This is by far the best place to go for your hair removal, skin, and eyelash needs! I first started going to Shannon for a Brazilian when I was 6 months pregnant. I read about sugaring and decided to try it. Everything I read was true! It wasn't painful like waxing, my skin was not irritated, hair growth became thinner, and it was quick. Let's not forget about Shannon's amazing personality. She made me feel so comfortable while I was pregnant and afterwards too! You don't feel like another number walking through the door, you feel like you are just catching up with a friend. She loves her craft and it shows! I have also had the pleasure of getting services done by Kia, the brow guru. I got my brows shaped, eyelashes permed, and some lash extensions for added volume. Kia took the time to help me with my brow and lash goals and ways to care for them In between treatments. I had let my brows grow out after they were over waxed a couple of times. Kia has skills when it comes to the tweezer and she threaded my brows too. I never put value on my eye brows and now I will. It makes the world of a difference! My eyelashes are naturally straight and shorter. She educated me on lash growers and how the perm will enhance my eyes. It was painless and I got a better curl than I could ever do with an eyelash curler, plus the added benefit of no eyelash damage. She then added a few eyelash extension which gave me added volume so I won't have to wear mascara. They also carry YoungBlood mineral make up. I bought a gel liner for my mom and she loves it! I went for my first sugaring appointment today with Meagen, after years of waxing I was pleasantly surprised at how much more comfortable sugaring was. I want to start off this review by saying that i was regular and loyal customer since 2017 but I will not be coming back. I used to go to shannon, the owner,for sugaring of my upper lip. She was phenomenal. She is very skilled, personable, and made me feel like one of the family. I live in roseville, so it is at least a 30 min drive, but it was worth it. I didn't come in for several months due to having a baby. When I came back in, the environment was very different. They had become increasingly busy and one of the employees was promoted to manager. Shannon had also cut back on her hours so I was not able to come in when she worked. I continued to go to the studio ans the service was still good but not as impeccable as with Shannon. I was supposed to have an appointment today. The reminder told me that they would be unable to accomodate me if i was 5-10 min late, which honestly sounds unreasonable. Today I walked in exactly 5 minutes passed my appointment time and they refused to see me for a service that takes 5-10 minutes. Their reason was that it was due to being respectful of other clients' time. In my opinion that is ridiculous. So if I didn't bother straightening out my car in the parking spot and came 4 minutes late I would have been seen? Also who isn't late by five minutes somewhere. Five minutes extra can be caused by a long street light, a super slow car in front of you, or mild unexpected traffic. Instead of accomodating me the receptionist offered to reschedule me and when I said no respectfully apologized and then began ignoring me completely as if I was not standing there. On top of that they charged me for my service. So basically, I wasted an hour of my time to be turned away, ignored, and charged for a service I didn't receive all because I was five minutes late. It is nice that this business has some much demand but it seems like they don't care about retaining customers. The human factor and understanding is gone from this place, which is the reason i kept coming back. It really is a shame because quality services are so hard to find. read more

I was going there a couple years back for Brazilians then stopped getting them. I recently started having reactions to regular waxing on my face so I figured I should go back to Sugaring. Their place is so cute inside with lots of fun stuff to browse while you wait and an a super accommodating staff that goes above and beyond. I was lost and couldn't find the new spot and not once during my multiple calls did the receptionist get impatient, she even walked outside while I was on my Bluetooth talking to her to make sure I didn't miss their driveway.
