I saw a sign that said 10% service charge for sitting inside the air conditioned area, which was fine by me. I'm happy to pay a little extra to sit in an air conditioned restaurant. First, let me say the servers we had were very helpful and took care of us throughout our entire meal. They were quite attentive, more so than most places I've been to. So where do I begin... as we approached the restaurant, it just seems to be this hole in the wall side of the road spot, by many accounts it is, however this little place opens inside to a much larger dining area and is quite busy with people. As we were choosing the dishes to eat, the butcher, or whatever you call the guy who's in charge of taking your seafood, weighing it, and asking how you would like it cooked, so this guy pushed some rotten fish on us! WTF! Let me say this, the adobo squid was really good, the lobster was ok, just ok or just sub par, the scallops are about average as anyplace in the Philippines, but the fish they served in the soup was straight up rotten!! You could smell it right away as soon as they brought it to the table. I wanted to complain but everyone I was with said just don't eat it... Filipino shyness of actually saying what's on your mind, not polite really, just I think it's more of a cultural shyness. Nonetheless, WTF! Rotten fish, NASTY! I'm going to leave it at that. So many blogs I read tout this restaurant. SKIP IT! Go to a real restaurant and enjoy a nice meal or inspect what you purchase before you buy it. Enough said. My bill was over 2300 pesos... seriously I could have have a Wagyu Steak and Bone Marrow for about 500 less and enjoyed savoring my meal! Stay Hungry!

There really isnt a lot of parking available, but as long as you can fit your car in a spot, youre good. There have definitely grown a lot in the many years of my absence. I remember it was an all outdoor setting and the restaurant was still halfway through the field. Now, it takes up the entire lot with a second story spaces and airconditioned rooms and private rooms. I dont ever recall having a turo turo/ karenderia setting, but its there now and its the same as the food as they serve in the menu. Like most restaurants here, they have a place to wash their hands that is outside of the restrooms which makes it super convenient and you dont have to crowd the restrooms for that. Also, you can fill your own water pitchers or glasses at their self serve water station just beside the hand washing station. They were all very attentive to us. We had over a party of 15 of all ages and everyone was pretty fed and satisfied.

As soon as you walk in you will be greeted with a display of fresh caught seafood and you choose whatever and however you want it cooked. We had grilled squid and a piece of prawn and blue marlin for sinigang. There is also a row of dishes that are ready to be served. Ordered "pagi " as well and it was delicious! The place is super clean with rich wood furnishings.

During the cruise, there is entertainment such live music and dance performances. When I went, the buffet offered a variety of Filipino dishes, including pancit, vegetable Kare Kare and Filipino bbq. There were also several Filipino desserts and complimentary juice, while other drinks such as soda could purchased for an additional fee. While I appreciated the variety of food, I found the flavors to be fairly mild. More than the food, it was the atmosphere and experience that made this cruise memorable. I really enjoyed the scenic river ride and seeing all the lush greenery and tropical vegetation. I also liked the live entertainment. The local music and traditional dance performances were impressive and fun to watch. Some of us tourists even joined in the fun Filipino Tinikling dance. Overall, the Loboc Riverwatch Floating Restaurant was definitely an hour well spent.
