For $10, we get a full bento box of delicious food. I'm fixating on the food too much, but the teachers are extremely warm and nurturing. I feel happy for my kids that they get to have fun with their friends all day there. And last but not least, it is a good $500 less per month than what my friends are paying for their pre-school elsewhere. NOTE: This is a Japanese immersion pre-school, so the teachers speak to them in Japanese only all day.

The lunches they offer are so healthy and my husband and I agreed we wish they would just open a cafe to the public for the food so we can get in on the grub. Everything is fresh and scratch made in their kitchen - no typical pre-packaged school lunch of mac & cheese or frozen fish sticks. I happen to catch a glimpse of the kitchen and the fridge is stocked with fresh fruits and veggies - that's what I want my kid eating. What became very clear to us after she started is that the facilities are super clean - especially compared to our last daycare. The classrooms are absolutely immaculate and I've witnessed several times the staff cleaning and sanitizing (in separate rooms where the children are not currently occupying, of course) when we come to pick her up. She was prettymuch continually sick at her previous daycare down the street (may have something to do with it being winter when she started there) and she hasn't gotten sick since she started which is an unexpected bonus. Last, the staff is the kindest group of people that are nurturing and sweet to the children. Everyone is so polite and there's a real sense of community (examples: they are currently doing a fundraiser for a Megumi graduate that is unfortunately fighting cancer, they have a volunteering program where teenage Megumi graduates help at the school, etc.). It only took her a few weeks to adjust to her new daycare and she's already picked up a few Japanese words and lots of happy friends. They sing songs, play games, learn social skills and have the extra added benefit of being immersed in a different language. This place is about 20% cheaper than our last daycare and we absolutely couldn't be more satisfied - I can see why the waitlist was so long. Worth every penny and we're planning on keeping here here as long as we can.

Our child enjoys the structured activities and has shown great progress in social skills and independence. The curriculum is well-rounded, focusing on both academic and personal growth. School facility is clean and well-organized, and the management is very professional, responsive and genuinely care about the well-being of the children. Also, we get detailed reports about our child's activities including photos, meals, nap times each day, which helps us to stay informed. As he gradually eased into the environment, thanks to his teachers' appreciation of cultural diversity, our boy can now confidently express his ideas in sentences in front of the class. We are especially thankful to Ms. Jerrica's dedication to creating fun and creative curriculum, and Mr. Jan's commitment to guiding them through big emotions. Our little one benefited a lot from his love for learning and the habit of meditation. Throughout the past two years, we also noticed his growing independence. Not just simply taking care of himself, but also his strong sense of being the true self and to advocate for what he believes in. He was never forced into any "correct" answers at school, but encouraged to explore and reason. The development of physical body is a natural process, however, that of the mind requires detailed planning, timely guidance and proactive alignment between school and family. They would even hold her while she slept which was amazing. She progressed through each class really well thanks to the care, kindness, expertise and nurturing of the teachers. What we really loved was that they could accommodate the individual needs of our child in a way that helped her to make friends, while growing her skills and confidence. The focus on, kindness, life-skills and academics is perfect. Now that we've moved on to a public school we truly see the value of the school. Our daughter is reading more than a grade level above her class and doing math that is a grade level ahead of her class. She is testing higher in nearly every academic area than her peers. We feel we owe much of this to the work of the countryside teachers who were so dedicated to her. We recommend Countryside to any friends looking for schools.

You can choose two, three, four, or five days per week, choose the days, and choose the amount of time. The regular day is 9-1 and the kids eat lunch at school. You can also choose a longer day of 9-3, and/or before and after care which would cover a full work day. They follow the LWSD school district calendar, for the most part, and also offer summer camps. I couldn't be more pleased with our time at Good Sam School!

The staff here are incredible and genuinely care about each individual student. They know the families and take time to ensure that each child feels welcome, a sense of belonging, and that they are valued members of the school. All year I have felt as though the staff have wrapped their arms around our entire family, including grandparents who regularly pick up my child. Educationally, my child is well prepared for kindergarten and he has showed excitement about his learning. From weaving in daily routines that mimic that of a kindergarten classroom, teaching, foundational reading skills and math concepts, they create a learning space that is highly engaging and prepares children for elementary school. My kid was eager to share all that he was learning and proud of the work he brought home each day. Perhaps the greatest indicator of a successful preschool year was that my son regularly wanted to go to school. He showed disappointment on the weekend or when he didn't have an extended lunch buddy day. The fact that he loved school and his teachers were proof enough that this is an incredible school. This preschool has a true community feel and I couldn't be happier about the warm environment that my child spent a year in. I wish I had found this gem sooner and can't wait to have my youngest go there as soon as he is able to.

Prior to AIP I had my children in a co-op, but with more kids it was challenging to work in the classroom. My first draw to AIP with 3 kids 3 and under was that they have DRIVE THRU drop-off and pick-up, so I didn't need to get my other two kids out of the car. Now that my older 3 are in elementary I don't need this as much, but it still can be a great option (especially if I'm running 5-10 minutes late!) They have a lot of great enrichments across the year (these vary depending on what class you're in) field trips: pumpkin farm, farm, Kirkland Storybook Theater, Children's Museum, fire station, pond, as well as lots of incursions: bunnies, reptile man or lady, police officer, fire fighters, dentist and then of course mommy and muffins, daddy and donuts, Valentine, Easter, and harvest parties as well as an end-of year carnival in 4s and 5s classes. They also have a Christmas and end of year program. Note, this program only runs through May, this surprised me the first couple years, but they have offered a 2-3 week "summer camp" extention into June for those who want a longer year. My two oldest boys and my youngest will attend the 5s class which is a great option for children that need an extra year before kindergarten or are on the older end. They have a great balance of educational curriculum which addresses kindergarten readiness through zoophonics, writing their name, numbers and colors (again, based on age), daily art and lots of play (rotation of toys and sensory activities). They will meet with you in January to let you know how your student is doing, but they are very responsive if you have a concern or want to know more sooner. They either go outside or set up indoor movement play activity, this isn't an outdoor preschool so if it's a rainy day they won't necessarily go outside. They regularly post photos to their private Facebook group so you can see what's going on inside of the classroom. We love Arrowhead Inglemoor Preschool, it is has been a great fit for our family! Note: This is a preschool that runs out of Epiphany Lutheran Church and they will sing Christmas songs, and go to chapel once a month and learn a Bible story. If that is something that bothers you, this probably isn't the right preschool for you!
