The 1rst time I ever heard of this place was being treated to a Suicide Bridge Crab Feast Cruise & it was wonderful! The crabs were so fresh & delicious! So I was so excited to try the food in the restaurant. I assumed the food would be just as good. We ordered appetizers & the shrimp which had a glaze which was way too sweet. The Bacon wrapped scallops were tough & overcooked. We were disappointed but hoped the entree's would be better. I ordered the crab cake which was tough on the outside & mushy on the inside & tasted just as bad as it looked. No lump crab in it.. simply packed with filling couldn't even taste the scattered flakes of crab. Ended up sending it back for refund. My daughter ordered the Fish sandwich which she said was lukewarm tough & tasteless. Maybe we came on a bad day. Even though the view of the water was awesome..we won't be returning. read more

We were at Suicide for a retirement party. Donna and Lisa were our servers. Donna seemed annoyed to be at work and was unfriendly. Several times, Donna, pushed past guests standing around chatting, never said excuse me, and sternly noted, "We need to be able to get through here." I ordered oysters, they had no flavor and were gritty. When we were served our main entrees, meats came out and 20 minutes later, side dishes were served. We had to request butter and sour cream for baked potatoes, it was not on the potato nor on the dish, the potato was served on. I was referred by a friend to come to suicide bridge and I'm happy I was able to experience it along with my daughter. Upon walking in I was asked if I wanted to sit inside or outside we chose outdoors and we were instructed to go out and walk around to the back. The lady in the front was very nice. For drinks I got a suicide sling which is similar to a Long Island iced tea but fruity and I was pleased! It really tasted good I would recommend. My daughter got a 1/2 cranberry 1/2 pineapple juice. For starters we got 1/2 dozen raw oysters and a crab quesadilla. The oysters were good however it only came with a cocktail sauce which was a little disappointing. I did ask for horseradish but they didn't have any. The ice under the oysters were not chopped it was just regular ice as seen in photo. They were placed on a regular plate it just wasn't appealing. The crab quesadilla although it also didn't look appealing it tasted good it had a great amount of crab inside and was accompanied by a warm salsa we accidentally got butter with it instead of sour cream and our server did change it however we didn't really get to use it much since we were already more than 1/2 way done. Overall it's good! Lastly I decided to get shrimp tacos and I remembered at the last minute that I didn't tell my server flour tortilla because personally I really really dislike corn so I went to the register where she was putting in the order and had them change it. When it came out it was definitely corn. Very disappointed!!! I only ate one and took the other. The taste was there however it's just now what I wanted. Lobster sauté supposed to be in butter sauce and instead some tasteless white liquid. Cream of crab soup had a green tint and tasted nothing like any cream of crab I've ever had. Best thing was the shrimp cocktail but certainly not cheap. I guess place may be good for eating crabs. read more

5 stars for the kitchen!! The food was amazing!! Everything was hot when our food arrived!! The Alfredo was creamy and delectable . It tasted fresh . My partner got the wings and fries they were seasoned very well. I must say everything taste like it was made from a scratch . I always judge restaurants based of the quality of food and the quality was there. Matches the price as well. Customer service was excellent as well. The Orange crush was made from FRESH orange juice. Don't get me started on the Cesar salad . Croutons were made in house and the dressing I can tell . Amazing , amazing , and amazing!! So yummy!! Will go back recommend for family and solo drinkers as well there was a bar outside with plenty of space. The only downfall was our table was a bit dirty and a lot of flys were outside probably due to the crabs . So we sat inside . But other than that 10/10 experience. read more

The "go to" restaurant near Cambridge. The food is always good, no matter what you order. The view of the water is very nice and the staff are always very nice. The seafood salad is the best in the area. The crab quesadillas is ordinarily stuffed with crab. For dessert, the heath bar eclair is extraordinary. I was hesitant the first time. Glad the waitress convinced us to try it. And it is large and filling. You can dress up or be casual. read more

Cathy was a terrible server from the time we asked for bread for a diabetic who needed something, and she replied there's bread on the buffet, yet the buffet wasn't open for us. It was a group of 55+, and one server stated out loud that the Buffet wasn't all you can eat. For $45 we all thought it was all you can eat,but we got a $23 Meal. It should be explained when you take ppl money, which was taken before we ate. We never got any salad, and then the server said very loud and rude, i only have desserts for 70 ppl, i asked how many of us it is, she stated way more than 70, but it wasn't. So i said to her why would you take money from 75 ppl if you only have dessert for 70 ppl. Make it make sense please. This issue is totally unacceptable for customers. Stopped in for dinner Sunday night. We were seated at 5:30pm. Our entrees arrived at 6:50pm. It's always upsetting when others were seated 10-15min after you and they order, receive their apps & entrees before you, eat, pay their check, and depart as you're receiving your entrees. I don't get it. My Tuscan Salmon was good. My wife ordered Rockfish tacos and received shrimp tacos. The gang that can't shoot straight. I would like to start with the good points: the greeting staff is very kind and helpful. I got the crab cake sandwich. It was delicious! No filler, definitely jumbo lump crab meat, great flavor. My husband got the surf and turf burger. It was cooked well and he said it was good. The location is beautiful, and the waterfront is peaceful. The cons: We ordered bbq shrimp as an appetizer. It was so disappointing. I wish I had taken a picture. We received 5 shrimp that were slightly bigger than a popcorn shrimp (pretty dang small). The flavor was good, but the presentation was TERRIBLE, and the amount of food/quality of food compared to the price paid was RIDICULOUS. I would have been embarrassed to send it out of my kitchen even at a reasonable price point (the dish is $14). I asked for some horseradosh, and for some reason, this really threw the waitress off. She wasn't rude, but when she returned, she gave us a dip cup overflowing with horseradish..it kind of seemed like it was done out of frustration or annoyance. I wish I had received that amount of shrimp for my appetizer. I'm serious, I would have added a solid $3 to the bill if someone wanted that amount of Horseradish with their meal. Finally, even though my husband did enjoy his burger, the description states it has shredded cheddar cheese. I'm 99.9999% certain that it was a kraft single (the processed cheese wrapped in plastic). The price we paid was not worth the quality or quantity of food we received (besides the horseradish). It's a shame because this place has so much potential and is in a prime location. read more

We entered the restaurant and smelled no food. It looked and felt exactly the same as it did 20 years ago and so did the menu. Our server was wonderful. A true professional. The food was a different story. The best part of our meal was the store bought warm buns with whipped butter and the side salad. All other food ordered was barely edible, bland and stuck in the 70s. I was looking for spiced apple ring to go with my side of apple sauce. I ordered a side of onion rings which I only ordered due to the lack of 21st century side choices. The onion rings came out looking more tired than the decor and the dusty chafing dishes lined up in the lobby. Its pointless to say anymore about the food beyond it's horrible and over priced! I give this restaurant ZERO STARS. I would like to forewarn anyone with melanin in their skin (black) and as well as for those that DO NOT want to contract COVID! Where do I begin. My family made reservations for the weekend of Mother's Day. We were so excited about going. The reviews were great and their was also a video of a black family enjoying dinner together which made us feel safe with going to this restaurant in an area we were not unfamiliar with. I was so excited about going to a restaurant that had scenic views and looked very cheerful. My family and I walked into the restaurant and noticed NO ONE WAS WEARING MASKS. The bar was filled to capacity and again NO ONE WAS WEARING MASKS. We waited at the entrance for about 5 mins. we were never greeted by any of the wait staff. So we walked through to the other side of the restaurant and still none of the wait staff acknowledge that we were standing there waiting to be seated. I flagged down one of the wait staff letting them know we had reservations. I was told they would check and get back to me. While we were waiting their was a group seated not to far from where we were standing. Two of the white men at the table was starring at me and daughter as if we had done something wrong to them. My daughter noticed the angry stares coming from one of the men before I realized what was going on. I noticed she was shaking and really upset about it. The non stop starring continued and for no apparent reason. So I greeted the men by saying "hello" and one of them rolled his eyes at me. All the while my husband was in the restroom while my daughter endured this unspoken blatant racisms. As if we were not allowed in the restaurant. Once my husband came out of the restroom I decided to not subject my daughter to the evil mean spirit individuals in the restaurant. And to go to a much better restaurant where we felt safe and welcomed with much better food! By the way the name of the restaurant that treated my family with respected is called Hemingway's Seafood Restaurant. We walked in and was greeted with a smile and was seated immediately. It's sad that black people or any other race that is not white is still being treated poorly. The service and food is good, and the seafood is fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant, and look forward to participating in one of the cruises offered during the summer and fall. It takes a while to find this place, but it's worth it! Listen... idk what is going on in this place but tonight was a disaster! We Ordered and half tea and lemonade and it was watered down. Got appetizers and the plates were dirty as well as the silverware. I think we had more seasoning on than in the kitchen. Everything was bland! They over cooked everything and nothing seemed fresh. I took a shot in the dark and ordered soft shell crabs... and they tasted like unseasoned bread. I could go on but what's the point. You get the picture. Take a picture on the dock and go somewhere else. Terrible! Shut it down, clean it from top to bottom, and teach the cooks how to season food. I bet your microwaves back there are 10 years old too! My wife ordered the crab balls and I ordered the jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab imperial. The portions were generous and the baked potato side was very well cooked . NO FOLLOWING COVID GUIDELINES!!! Not sure where to even begin.... On 3/6/21 we drove 1.5 hours to get to this place after we read about being the best seafood in the eastern shore and all the reviews in here. The location was great, the place looks well put together and the parking lot was extremely full. We came in at about 6pm and had to wait for 20 mins, so far so good. We came in and the hostess said we will be sitting upstairs and asked if we knew how to get there and we told her no. So, she quick shows us where the stairs are and told us to go up there and someone would sit us. We oddly stood for about 5 mins until someone acknowledged us. While we are waiting I spotted a waitress running the food to a large table with older people and her mask was on her chin, I looked to the bar and the bartender was making drinks with no mask AT ALL- I couldn't believe my eyes. By this time we thought we might as well sit down since we drove for 1.5hours and had to wait for 20 mins. Our waiter (wearing a mask) sits us in a booth with people sitting on the booth right behind (back-to-back). I look at the bar and there were about 15 people there and - no social distancing at all. A waiter came to take our drink order and she had no mask at all. More and more people kept coming from this back door and walking to the bar with no mask at all. Half and hour later and there were at least 50 people at the bar. It seemed there was a party because they all knew each other. Hugging each other and walking everywhere around the bar from table to table without masks. By this time I am extremely uncomfortable because they were not even two feet away from our table. Almost an hour later and we couldn't take it anymore. I asked for our dinner to be packed to go and told our waiter how this was not ok. He voluntarily took 20% off our check. As we are walking out of the door I see a gentleman at the front booth downstairs and I explained to him what was going on and all he said was "I am sorry you felt offended but my employees are all wearing mask". I told him that he should go upstairs to check because they were all coming out of the kitchen running food without mask, making drinks without mask and serving tables with no mask, and one of his waitresses was with no mask hugging some people at the bar while running drinks. I told him I took videos and pictures and he told me I was free to do whatever I wanted with it. I told him how this was not ok because they were following the laws and his response was "it's actually not a law. It's a mandate. Again I am sorry you felt offended by people not wearing a mask and feel free to do whatever you feel like" with an attitude. He then proceeded to go upstairs to see it for himself. Oh and the table was never wiped down - it was dirty. The menus was sticky, food stains and had fingerprints all over it - clearly they don't sanitize their menus in between usage. Never again! I am very curious how many people will actually end up positive after busting this facility which was not following protocols to stay open. read more

We just moved to the area at the end of May. We have tried a few of the local restaurants and Suicide Bridge is top notch. The staff is super friendly. Our waitress even brought us a paper that explained the legend of the Suicide Bridge. She also brought us the schedule for the different cruises they do. We started with the seafood nachos which had a good amount of seafood. The Mahi was one of the specials. I asked for it grilled and it was delicious. My husband got the fried shrimp and they were huge. I am a bit of a coleslaw snob and theirs is delicious. We look forward to many more fantastic meals! read more

What a wonderful surprise! Driving from Howard County thru the back roads and corn fields the road opens to the view of the Suicide Bridge Restaurant, bridge and docks. This is another hidden treasure of Maryland. I have lived in the DC area all my life and this was my first visit- but not my last! I met a dear friend for lunch. We both love crab imperial. We last had crab imperial at a restaurant in Ocean City that claimed to have "world famous" crab imperial. We decided to do a taste challenge and ordered the crab imperial at the Suicide Bridge Restaurant. Our meal was excellent! The crab imperial was BETTER than "world famous". The relaxed atmosphere was BETTER than Ocean City. We could have eaten outside but decided on an inside window seat with a beautiful view- BETTER than Ocean City. I have celiac disease so I am on a very strict gluten free diet. The menu had all the gluten free options clearly marked- including the BETTER than "world famous" crab imperial! The baked potato and green beans that came with the crab imperial were also excellent! While there, I noticed they have other activities that depart from the restaurant docks. I am planning a return trip with my family to enjoy another meal and a boat trip! read more

The final verdict is in.......terrible food, high prices for terrible food. have given this restaurant 4 chances and today was the last chance. without being to descriptive, the blacken mahi was over cooked, burnt and dry as cardboard, the crab cakes were definitely not jumbo lump crabmeat and contained many shells. Nice place, our server was very nice and attentive. My wife and I both had the crab feast. The sides were very good, now the crabs...I'd say overall they were just "good". We love crabs and looked forward to having them for a couple of weeks, as this was our first stop on a road trip from NY to South Carolina. So what makes them just good...well they came out warm, at best. The size was ok, for a crab feast...but what killed them is that some were dry...like leftover and reheated dry. It's a feast so we ate the best parts of the body and skipped some of the claws n legs...a favorite part of ours. Figured we could always get more...could have asked for hot fresh crabs, but we were enjoying and as I said they were good. A week later on our return home we realized what really good crabs were again as we stopped at Harris Crab House on Kent Island. There's a bit to look at while you wait, that kept us interested til our table was ready. Their Suicide Slinger (cocktail) was tasty and refreshing! A great way to start our dinner! We went to Suicide Bridge Restaurant on July 20th with a group. My husband ordered the fresh fish of the day, which was supposed to be broiled. He received a square piece of fish about 1/4 inch thick with no seasoning and dry as a board. He would have sent it back but the waitress never checked on us. I had stuffed shrimp. Three small shrimp were on top of a stuffing with tasteless claw meat and breading. Each of the entries were $32. Since I grew up in Maryland, I have been eating crab meat all my life. I don't even think the claw meat was Maryland crab. The only time the waitress came back was to ask us if we wanted more ice tea, which she filled from a pitcher and then charged us full price for the second ice tea. Our bill was over $90. read more
