This is a great place to visit by boat. The staff is friendly, they have a large variety of crushes, I personally love the key lime crush, and they have good food. We recently visited their new river boat restaurant/bar. It's such a fun and unique dining experience. I personally love their seared tuna. Very popular MC spot, and for good reason. Riding out here is very nice. Long slow curves, all kinds of marsh views, and mellow traffic over well maintained roads. I've been coming here since 2015, by Ford, Yamaha, and Bayliner. Never disappoints. Sunny day and hard working staff. This place makes me happy, Now... a note to those of us who lean a bit left of center... you may see some adornments on the boats out here. We boated over from Ragged Point Marina - lots of boat spaces, esp on an overcast day. With the cold, cloudy weather, the outdoor area was empty - could be great place to hang out. Inside, it is a little tight, make a reservation if you have a big party. I wasn't expecting much from the food with the fun bar vibe, so was pleasantly surprised. The food came out quick and delish. Fried food was crispy and not greasy. Even pizza looked homemade. Only nachos could have used more oozy cheesy. Thorough enjoyed our meals, staff very friendly. We rented a boat for the day from the Slaughter Creek Marina and ended up eating at this restaurant for lunch. I know this may sound crazy, but this was some of the best seafood I have ever had. It's a dive bar feel with fantastic food. The crab cakes, fish bites, crab dip, shrimp, etc etc were fresh, lightly breaded, and had virtually no filler. There was so much crab that the food was fantastic for the price range. The seasoning was spot on. We would 100% come back here if ever in this small town MD again. read more

The service was atrocious. The guy we kept going up to get food from, an old bald man w red facial hair was extremely rude towards us. I went up to buy a cocktail and showed the man my license , i'm 24, and he thought it was fake so he cut it up so now I have to get a new ID. There was also small hairs in the food which was disgusting. Overall I would recommend never coming here. read more

Palm Beach Willies is the best of the quintessential Eastern Shore real seafood restaurant . And it is actually floating in a creek off the Choptank River . I can only vouch for the crab cakes and the good people that served us . I will be 80 years old on my next birthday and I know Chesapeake Bay crab cakes . These were the best ever . For the first time ever , my wife said she tasted a crab cake better than her own . And we buy the best crab meat money can buy . And the watermen nearby where sensational too . My wife and I arrived before the scheduled opening and were sitting outside in 97 degree heat . A watermen walked up from the marina and offered us a cold beer for the wait...and assured up that the wait was worth it . read more

From 1960-1962 there was a classic tv show called "Surfside Six" and was set on a houseboat in Miami across the street from The Fontainebleau Hotel. Wow Fast forward to 2018 Palm Beach Willies is a restaurant on this very houseboat located now in Taylors Island, which I might add is the most beautiful Island. Taylors Island if off the beaten path but so worth it. Population of Taylors island is 173 people and is only 4.16 square miles. Your crab cakes were incredible The real McCoy and your French fries were scrumptious. The real thing! Boardwalk style hand cut and I didn't have to ask Laurel for the Vinegar. Yep she's that good. Your draft beers most especially Nanticoke Nectar brewed from Cambridge RAR ( Real Realerevival) is the best. Be careful the ABV is 7.40 %. The beer is so smooth and goes down very easy. The atmosphere being on the water and your choice of family seating on another houseboat and bar seating is perfect. The bright colors give you such a upbeat happy feeling with the bright sunshine and lots of windows. Don't change a thing. I almost don't want to write this review because I want this houseboat to be my secret. As soon as you walk in the door you greeted with such a friendly smile. The food is OK. The wine is expensive and the music outside is very, very loud! You cannot have a conversation. This is in a residential neighborhood and the noise level is a big nuisance to those who wish to come for tranquility and nature. read more

We were staying at the Hyatt in Cambridge and looking for an alternative to the good yet uninspired resort restaurants. Palm Beach Willies is located in a marina 15 miles down a wide, untraveled highway, and well worth the drive. The seating area is small and the kitchen is tiny, so make a reservation and don't make plans for afterwards. We ordered the fresh rockfish (one broiled and one fried) and the softshell crab, all of which were excellent. Like most rural Maryland restaurants, entrees come with a choice of two sides. The sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes were amazing, and the others were very good as well. For dessert, we shared the "cookie skillet" -- if they're offering it, get it. Our only regret is not trying the appetizers. The food comes out of the small kitchen very slowly. It's well worth the wait, but the wonderful bread and muffins only hold you so long. read more

Palm Beach Willies has the worst service of any restaurant my family and I have ever been to. On more than one occasion we have waited over an hour for appetizers and almost two hours for our entrees which only came out after we were ready to leave, all while the restaurant is not even close to being full. The food is fairly good but not at all worth the quality of service, which is a shame because of the scarcity of restaurants like it in this particular area. Would not recommend. read more

This is sort of a Porky's meets Maryland with a touch of Caribbean kind of place. However, the food was delicious and service fantastic. I had soft crab bites for an app and the soft shell platter. Both were very good. Others had the ahi wrap, fish sandwich, rockfish, stuffed shrimp and mussels. No complaints whatsoever. The service was fast and attentive. The decor was what you would expect for a dive bar (no pun intended) next to the water, but felt a little cramped. We will definitely keep this in mind for a return visit! read more

I am only going with 4 stars instead of 5 because I was not a huge fan of the way they prepared the mussels (a bit overcooked) and the crab dip was okay at best. Just enjoyed our first lunch at Palm Beach Willies and cant wait to go back. Let's start with the location - what a cool place to relax with a drink. Very casual and right on the water. The staff could not be any friendlier and attentive. We chose to sit outside because we had our black lab with us (they're dog friendly!) and between Derrick and Cassandra, our drinks were always full and we had everything we needed for our meal. Let's talk food - Derrick said that we couldn't go wrong with any crab dish, so we started with a crab pretzel that was one of the best we've ever had. The crab dip was loaded with crab and light on cheese - perfect. My husband got a crab cake that was mostly lump crab meat, almost no filler. I had a soft crab and even though they normally don't put it on a wrap, the chef accommodated my request and it was meaty, mustardy (those of you crab lovers out there know what I mean) and well seasoned. This place is definitely a must-visit if you are anywhere near Cambridge. read more

Will Not Go Back! Live About 15 Mins. From Palm Beach Willies and Have Visited About 6-7 Times. Went There a Few Days Ago. Very Hot on the Floating Enclosed Dock. Hostess Said She Had Windows Open and Seemed to Be Agitated That We Wanted More Open...it Was About 80 degrees Inside. Waitress Was VERY SWEET and the View Was Very Nice. I Was There With My Oldest Son and My Grandson (age 16). We Ordered Water and Sodas and They Came in Very Small Plastic Cups. I Noticed the Menu Had Become Very Limited and They Did Not Have Cream of Crab Soup. I Ordered Hot Crab Dip and it Was a VERY Small Amount for the Price and Only 6 Very Small (2 bites each piece), Pieces of Bread. So, We Got About 12 Bites For (I Think) $12.00.The Taste of the Hot Crab Dip Was Very Fishy. We Had Trouble Getting the Fishy Taste Out of Our Mouths. My Son and I Were Concerned We May Get Sick Later Because of the Fishy After Taste. I Asked the Waitress if the Crab in the Hot Dip Was From the Local Seafood Supplier and She Said, "Yes". I Didn't Complain at That Point....Since My Grandson Would Have Gotten Embarrassed. My Knife Was Dirty...But I Didn't Ask For Another One....Just Had to Cut my Chicken With My Fork. Though the Hot Crab Dip (which I really think came out of a can...instead of fresh local), Was Nasty, My Son and Grandson Said Their Crabcakes Were Good.
