Wow! We usually read reviews before a technician comes out, and I'm actually glad we did not this time because many of the reviews would of had us concerned. We were assigned Justin for a running toilet repair and flange replacement, and our experience went well. Justin was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the repairs that were needed. He treated our home with respect, worked efficiently, and made sure we understood everything before getting started. Scott came to our house for a routine plumbing repair tied to a home warranty service, to replace a hot water shut off valve for a washer. Rather than calling the home warranty company on the spot to share his recommendation and get a simple repair done in a reasonable timeframe, he said he would send pictures to the warranty company and then they'd schedule the repair. Scott failed to do his part and beat around the bush for about a week, before the homeowner finally decided to hire someone himself to do the repair. I don't even understand how these guys are in business, given all the terrible experiences other people have apparently had. I also tried calling their office number, but it seems like it's a dead number, they're probably tired of getting calls from frustrated customers. If you have any plumbing needs, don't use these guys look elsewhere. They are a terrible value in terms of their quality of service and communication. read more

I had some blockage in the line outside running to the septic tank. AHS, the warranty company, first assigned someone that apparently doesn't exist. Then they assigned Sullens Plumbing. I was concerned because of the ratings I saw, but I needed the work done quickly. Well, I received a text message about an hour after I put in the service request, telling me that a technician would be out later that day. 3 hours later, the tech showed up - cleared the blockage, and had us run all the faucets in the house to verify that the blockage was gone. All told, it took about 30 minutes. I was very satisfied with the quick response, the knowledge of the tech (Devin), and the outcome. read more

I had to use Sullen's due to my home warranty and it was a terribke experience. First they showed up without any notice at all. As they were there one of the plumbers continuously called things "retarded" and using awful language not only with the other plumber, but me as well. They told me that the work I needed done wasn't covered by my warranty, without actually talking to my warranty company, so told me they could just schedule on their own. They would "cut me a deal" to where it would cost $2,000 and leave me with a hole in my wall. I immediately searched for their reviews and saw how awful they were. I asked around for other plumber suggestions and got one from a neighbor. The plumber was in and out of my condo within a few hours and fixed everything I needed sone for $250 and didn't need to go in the wall whatsoever. Look for anyone else! read more

Straight garbage. Never let these people touch a thing in your home. They are liars, and the only reason we allowed them to even come to our home was because of American home shield. Not only are they for the home warranty company "easy money" weather they fix anything or not. They lie to your face and tell you one thing, and turn around, and tell the warranty company something else. I do not recommend. They are not accredited, and have no business in anyone's home. I canceled our policy with the trash home warranty, and we just paid out of pocket for a real company to come and take care of our services. Honest! Had a frank conversation and we came to an agreement very easily and everyone was very happy.

When my garbage disposal broke, I called my warranty company American Homeshield. They sent Sullens Plumbing out to take a look. The gentleman came out, flipped the switch, hit the reset button and said it was broken. No news flash there. He then took a picture of the disposal and left ( after looking at a few running toilets). I was notified by AHS that my claim had been partially approved. It seems this gentleman said it would cost $450 to install a new one as it needed adapters, etc. in order to attach a new unit. Keep in mind this is not a custom sink we are talking about here. I was furious and told them I was being ripped off. AHS told me they would send out someone else and if I was wrong, I would have to pay another service fee. If I was correct, I did not. Of course I said send them. Well, not only was I correct, but these honest plumbers replaced it on the spot! I cannot believe Sullens tried to take advantage of my family like that! AVOID SULLENS PLUMBING AT ALL COSTS. Yelp really needs a zero star option. read more

I was assigned Sullens plumbing through my home warranty to get two small issues fixed in my house. The first was a leaky toilet which they resolved quickly. The second issue was a tub faucet. The plumber looked at it briefly, said he had "never seen this issue before" (which, to be clear, I have very little experience with plumbing, but I've replaced faucets and done small bathtub renovations in the past and even I knew what was wrong). Given that he looked at it for roughly 30 seconds, I was surprised he was able to ascertain any information about what was actually going on, let alone diagnose the issue. Overall they seemed inexperience. After reporting the incomplete job to my warranty company, Sullens plumbing called me. I spoke with someone over the phone who was immediately rude and basically called me a liar. She was unprofessional and I ended up calling my insurance company to tell them I needed another plumber to come out as I did not want to work with rude, inexperienced contractors. I had a terrible experience with Sullens Plumbing Inc. and would never recommend them to anyone. 1. The 2 plumbers that came out together clearly lacked expertise and did not have the proper tools or technology to accurately diagnose a stoppage/clog. Instead of solving the issue, they guessed their way through it wanting to cut pipelines that would not have solved problem. In fact, where they wanted to cut, the pipes wasn't even in the right location of the clog. 2. They left my home unfinished without even telling me they were leaving, which is highly unprofessional. 3. Their dispatcher was extremely unfriendly--and at times downright hostile--when I called to get clarity on what the next steps were. 4. Because of their improper diagnosis, they tried to upsell me on problems that didn't even exist. If I had continued using them, I would have been overcharged without ever having the original issue fixed. Out of frustration, I hired another plumbing company, and within 8 minutes they diagnosed the actual problem and fixed it--for substantially less money and no upsells. Not only that, but the second company went out of their way to check for other issues and even fixed small things for free. They also used a transparent menu pricing system, so I knew exactly what I was paying for--no surprises, no games. The contrast was night and day. Sullens Plumbing Inc. wasted my time, tried to drain my wallet, and still didn't fix the problem. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want professional, honest, and competent plumbing service. read more

I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in Sullens Plumbing and wish I could give them a zero-star rating. Details: I have an AHS home warranty and they sent a Sullens plumber to look at one of our toilets that has a slight rocking sensation. The technician diagnosed it with a flange broken on both sides, due to excessive force, not normal wear & tear. I have lived in this house for 15 years and there are 2 other toilets that don't have this same issue. The house was built in 88' so I'm not sure what, other than normal wear & tear, would cause the breakage. I am overweight and strongly suspect that the technician's reference to 'excessive force' is about my weight. However, rather than make an assumption, I tried calling Sullens Plumbing to talk to them about it. I explained the situation to the first gentleman I spoke with on the phone and he said he would have the owner call me back, and I was willing to wait to talk to them before leaving any poor reviews. However, minutes later, the technician who had come to my home called me berating me for my call. He didn't listen to why I was upset and instead proceeded to argue with me and tell me that he just got cussed out because of my call and that I handled things poorly. He was stuck on telling me he never mentioned my weight in his diagnosis, even though I didn't say that he did. I was trying to find out what 'excessive force' could have caused it from his experience since he must know to definitively say it wasn't from normal wear & tear. However, he continued to be rude and argue with me. When I was on the phone with him, another lady from Sullens (I don't know what her title is) had tied calling me. She also texted me and said she wanted to talk to me. However, essentially she has decided not to talk to me. Instead, she texted me to reiterate the technician's diagnosis, and informed me it would be $975 out of pocket to fix-- without the courtesy of hearing me out. Result: I can't tell you how utterly offended I am. Not only is there an implied assumption that the flange broke because of my weight--(if not my weight, what other kind of excessive force could the technician be referring to? And if he doesn't know, then how can he claim it's due to excessive force and not the result of a 37-year old toilet's normal wear and tear?) But on top of that, the technical (Levi) called me and was rude to me on the phone, and then this lady (Lisa) brushed off my complaint and has not bothered to talk to me. Evaluation: Do not use this company. They are rude and spineless- if you're going to diagnose something as being broken due to excessive force, then be ready to explain yourself, or at a minimum, talk to the customer about it. Sullens Plumbing is very unprofessional! They are a company that is contracted with our home warranty company, American Home Shield, which sent them to service us. They installed a dented hot water heater in our home. Not only was it dented, it was 25 gallons larger than the one they replaced. That tells me that they had a damaged equipment that they were trying to get rid of. As soon as we came home and noticed the dent, we contacted them and requested that they replace it but they ignored our multiple requests, leaving us no option but to stop payment on our credit card. Thereafter, they responded. We also tried working through the issue with American Home Shield which was of no help! Sullens Plumbing told American Home Shield that they installed a hot water heater that was not dented and that we the homeowner dented it. I am not sure why a homeowner would put a dent in a hot water heater and call and ask that it be replaced, which would be a major inconvenience to our home. After many calls to Sullens and American Home Shield, we were told that Sullens Plumbing would come back and replace the hot water heater. Sullens Plumbing lied saying they would be coming to replace the dented hot water heater but instead they came and removed the equipment and demanded cash for replacing with an undamaged one. The fact that they insisted that we pay in cash was a red flag which we told them we would not. The technician then left with the hot water heater and left us without a hot water heater. They tried calling us to continue their shakedown to have us pay cash to get a hot water heater the following day but the trust had already been broken, so we did not have them back in our home. We also later found out that they turned off the water to our neighbor's house. read more

Didn't have a choice since American Home Shield uses them. That being said, they are extremely unprofessional, especially their office manager. I didn't receive any communication from anyone that they would be coming past my four hr window. I had to call them to find out if they were still showing up. Once they got here they looked at everything in a rush and flat out refused to look for a leak that they were supposed to. I received communication about a month and a half later telling me I need to call Delta faucets to get the parts. I questioned why it took them so long to let me know something like that and I got pushback instead, then received a half ass apology. Unfortunately American Home Shield won't do anything and once again has assigned them for another issue I'm having. Lets see how that visit goes!!!! read more

Scott Sullens is absolutely the best plumber I have ever had in my 45 years of owning homes. He is observing, knowledgeable, quick at assessing the problem and exceptionally nice. He had two men with him that were equally nice. Within 15 to 20 minutes he assessed the problem, replaced two lines, and checked out two of my bathrooms, and kitchen faucets to make sure I had hot water! Horrible! Not sure how this company stays in business. They no-showed and wouldn't return my phone calls. They rescheduled at their convenience and I received notification through email to let me know when they were coming. Once they did finally show up, they installed the hot and cold water backwards (amazing this was possible with 2 plumbers working at the same time). They lied and told us it had always been that way. We were assigned this plumber through our home warranty company - HSA. When Sullens plumbing wouldn't return my calls about all the problems, HSA reached out multiple times. HSA documented how unprofessional the lady in the office was and our issue was escalated at HSA. Unfortunately it did nothing to fix their service. read more

This company came to look at our guest toilet as it seemed to be running water all of the time. But, it was not leaking outside of the toilet. So, Sullen's Plumbing decided that the flapper needed to be replaced. But, the problem was that they had failed to diagnose the entire toilet. They fixed the cheapest part to replace and then left without fully testing or diagnosing the entire toilet. We found out later that the fill valve and shut off valve also needed to be replaced. But, Sullen's chose not to repair them when they were replacing the flapper. Now that the water had no place to escape, after they repaired the flapper, a slow leak began. I did not discover this for 5 days because the family was out of the country and I had no reason to use the guest bathroom; again it was a slow leak. But, on the 5th day after entering the house I heard water dripping in the basement only to discover my basement was flooded, carpet soaked, hardwood floors in the bath and hallway ruined. When I called Sullen's to tell them what happened, even though they were the last ones in that bathroom, they denied any responsibility. The estimate from the mitigation company came to $15,000.00 in damage as a result of their inability to diagnose and repair the entire toilet instead of just replacing the cheapest part. Complete incompetence. This company was recommended by American Home Shield. Although they refunded the service fee of $125 for that "service". American Home Shield refused to pay for the damage as well. My opinion is stay away from Sullins Plumbing and stay away from American Home shield. read more

Sullens Plumbing was the service provider assigned by my home warranty company twice for a hot water heater issue. The first time they say was a setting issue, but it would likely stop working again. The second time that the brand was "god awful" and it was a 2013 so it needed replaced, $1,250. When i told them it was just purchased 5 months ago they said I must have been scammed and an old one had been installed. I BOUGHT THE WATER HEATER MYSELF FROM HOME DEPOT BRAND NEW IN FEBRUARY. I called someone else and NOTHING is wrong with the water heater. It is only a wiring issue. ZERO INTEGRITY COMPANY! read more

The workers that came out diagnosed a problem in my bathroom that was unnecessary and could have easily been fixed with a $2 gasket and wanted to charge me $370 . Sullens Plumbing is a fraud, issued a workorder by American Home Shield for a a plumbing leak in the external wall of our kitchen behind the kitchen sink Sullens tec came out and said the wall needed to be opened up in order to assess where the leak was an how to fix and that i was required to open the wall from the outside which i agreed. However, after the tec left and without my knowledge the company issue a repair bill to AHS staying i owed them $300 , refusing to return to look inside the wall once i opened it unless i paid them first . more important is that that thier repair estimated included copper water lines which it was clear that the leak was from the right side kitchen sink not fresh water, this is pure blackmail and fraud, as a result and with Great Difficulty AHS issued a new work order at no cost to me. I want an apology from Sullens as their actions was the abuse of an elderly disabled adult which is a felony in Georgia read more
