He was local and received good reviews so decided to try him. He examined me and told me my left nostril was severely deviated and he recommended surgery. Not wanting surgery, I elected to try meds and spray which didn't do much. I had my annual physical with my doctor this Feb and while we were wrapping up, I told him I was considering septoplasty surgery however wanted to do a sleep study first. My Dr. looked into my left nostril and right away told me to get the septoplasty done asap. I met with Dr. Bliz again to schedule surgery. He told me he does surgery out of Metro South in Blue Island. I was really hoping it'd be at Palos Hospital or Silver Cross in New Lenox, but whatever. My surgery was the second week of March. First of all, I was all wrong on Metro South. The place was nice and clean and the nursing staff were super friendly. So that was awesome. Next, recovery. It sucked, period. One piece of advice, DO NOT bend over to pick up anything after septoplasty. If you do, blood will gush out of your nose. Yes, that happened to me just a few hours after surgery and my wife had to rush me to Bliz' office. Well, he stopped the bleeding and I went home that weekend and just laid on the couch, changing bandages every few hours. Dr. Bliz gave me his cell number and told me to text (I could barely talk) or have my wife call if we had any questions over the weekend. I texted him a few times with questions and concerns and he replied right away which I appreciated. After a few days I went back to him as he pulled out the crap in my nose and I was finally able to breath through my nose for the first time all weekend, however, my left nostril was still clogged. He told me that it would take 2-3 weeks before the swelling went down before I'd notice I can finally breath through my left nostril. Right around week 3, it happened. I could FINALLY breath through my left nostril. Dr. Bliz did what he said he'd do, fix my nose. Not only did he do a great job but he's super cool and friendly too, which matters to most civilized people. I will refer anyone I know who is looking for an Ears/Nose/Throat doctor to Dr. Bliz. He now has a patient for life with me, my family and my friends.

I highly recommend Dr Darius Bliznikas, I have such a positive experience. He is the best…read moreotolaryngologist I met so far.

Absolutely horrendous and borderline malpractice. My partner has been going here for years and has…read moreeven referred patients. We became pregnant and it made sense for him to be our OB. We were with him for 1st and 2nd trimester. In that time, the level of care would've been laughable if it so wasn't traumatic. We would wait in the waiting room for, at minimum, 1 hour after our scheduled appointment. We learned to call an hour ahead. We called and they said everything's on time. Got there - waited an hour - and then was told they didn't have bloodwork from the 1st trimester. WE DID THEM THERE IN THE OFFICE. They lost our blood work and then tried to blame her. Dr Mac then came out and said we've been a bad patient - she was crying and he and his staff were teaming up on her berating her and saying she was wrong. Office manager was screaming at her over Dr Mac. We did everything to a T correctly as it's our first pregnancy. (Also worth noting - my partner drove an hour both ways for this and was hit by a truck in her car on her way home) Now some words for you Mac. Listen here pal... every time we've seen you, we've had to remind you of what we have next and why tests haven't been ordered. You come in for 1 minute, fly through an exam, and ask if we need anything - which is when WE had to tell YOU what needs to be done. Typical response was "oh we haven't done that yet?" This was our level of care. You didn't tell her she had a negative blood type which required a Rogam shot every 4 weeks. We missed the first 2 doses because you didn't even know what her blood type was well into the 2nd trimester. You tested her blood sugar and called her A MONTH LATER to tell her she has gestational diabetes and we should go see a dietician. Which, by the way, if ANYTHING is wrong with our baby when it's delivered, you've opened yourself up to litigation. You brought my partner to tears telling her she's a bad patient and we didn't get blood work done. If we hadn't advocated for ourselves and joined groups and forums... we wouldn't have known ANYTHING that needed to be done. We found a new OB at Northwestern they LAUGHED at the paperwork Mac sent over. They literally said "he's seriously still practicing?" Absolutely no organization and they lost all of her blood work that, again, was done IN OFFICE!!! Yet berated a first time pregnant mother into tears for being a "bad patient". You are just a number here. A box to be checked. Get e'm in and get e'm out. Absolutely no accountability or advocation for their patients. I'd recommend a clinic before I'd ever recommend this toxic office.

"Is there an appointment for today? I have an emergency."…read more"Are you a current patient?" "No, I'm from out of town, but I need to see an OB/GYN. It's an emergency." "No." ... "Okay, thank you!" Super nice and helpful. Maybe refer another doctor, a hospital, ask what's wrong, anything... Nope, not a patient. Just "no".

In pain for over a year...every test negative... so I went to him at the pain clinic…read more.. Not even a physical exam was done by him. He had Very poor skills in my opinion. He prescribed a drug, did not bother discussing the possible side effects. When I asked the pharmacy the First thing he warned me about were possible heart palpitations...I had Afib in the recent past. This could prove to be deadly. The pharmacist immediately warned me not to take it. Dr. also suggested a possible injection. Again no discussion of possible negative effects or even long term solution. When asked later this was his Medical response... you may have long term responses do it. ( sp. to it Dr.) Or not. Won't know until you try. Imagine in 2024 he wants to inject drugs into me, and this is the drs response. This man is not the Dr. I would trust. I had a positive response to my long term pain taking one Tylenol3. It worked. He refused to prescribe it. Told me to go to another Dr instead. Mind you this was at a pain clinic at endeavor hospital. I would suggest you seek another Dr.,

I was in therapy for the second surgery and nowhere near recovered, when he suddenly ended therapy to do my shoulder. He over tightened my shoulder and caused me to have to see a specialist for a second shoulder surgery. Dr Shah's work had to be undone, but left me with permanent restrictions. In regards to my knee, I can no longer run or jump. This has caused me to no longer be able to work in my career. Dr Shah started off nice , but turned very cold when I started having issues because of his botched surgeries. Multiple doctors have advised me that he should have never taken out my meniscus, regardless of what an IME Dr. stated. Dr Shah also prescribed me with $30,000+ is medical supplies, from his suppliers, which he knew were denied by insurance. He and his suppliers stated if the insurance didn't pay the bills , not to worry that they would not fall on me. Those were all lies! I'm stuck paying those bills, while him and his supplier friends laugh to the bank. Dr Shah is not caring and lacks integrity. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable Dr for your ortho needs. Don't let his "accomplishments" fool you. He permanently messed up my knee and shoulder.
