We have dealt with Sullivan's on more than one occasion. The first one ultimately resulted in a beautiful upgrade, but required their responding to some concerns during the process. The more recent one was flawless and also resulted in an outstanding result. In this case, it required no input from us. Probably would have rated the first one as a 4 star and the second one 5 star. Costco members beware. If I could give less than a star i would. Costco partnered me with this company to get my countertop done. What a nightmare. I complained to costco about the consultant. As a result, the consultant called me back and let me know how upset he was that i contacted costco, and he never received a negative before. That was all he wanted to talk to us about from what it felt like. I tried to change the subject to business but he kept going back saying it was my fault for misunderstanding. He tried to make me feel stupid for 13 minutes on the phone. At this point, it wasnt about countertops anymore, it was about him being upset with his record being complained on. They canceled the contract on a baseless claim that we were rude to the guy even though we were the ones who made the complaint to costco about the same guy. When I received the cancelation email it was from one of the office managers but when i called, the rude man on the phone told me there are no managers but the president and the controller. I was shocked to hear that the controller of the company suddenly flipped it on us saying we were rude to him and puts my wife down for talking in the background and asks, "who is that woman talking in the background?" because she was apalled in the way how he was talking to me on the phone. leading me to refuse to ever do business with them ever again. I will never ever contact this company ever again and will never recommend them to all my friends and family. I know im not the only one who has had a bad experience with them so please do your homework. We didnt and learned the hard way. read more

Sullivan's Shutter Factory is the best shutter manufacturer and installer in the region. The whole experience was a breeze from the quote to completion. My quote was provided by email and once accepted, Neil Sullivan and his interior decorator visited my home to confirm window measurements, provided a sample of the shutter and color, received my deposit and had their scheduler contact me and scheduled the job for after my shutters were manufactured. The installer, Sergio (and his assistant Maribelle), were polite, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. The shutters for my sliders did not fit the application; no problem. They refabricated them, scheduled installation 2 weeks later, and finished the job. The wood has a lifetime warranty and labor guaranteed for a year. I recommend Sullivan's over any other local source. I prefer giving my business to local family owned businesses as opposed to conglomerate corporations who tend to contract their installations to third party contractors. Dealing with Sullivan's was not what others stated. I found Neil Sullivan to be rude and uncooperative. I talked with him three times by phone about the size of the sink hole that my plumbers requested and he argued with me that he could not do this. He talked over me while I was talking with him and he did the same with my plumber, he was rude and very unprofessional. Besides this the hole for the faucet and the hole for the sink was off center. The granite itself is wonderful and professionally installed. The second half of the purchase price was even charged to my credit card without informing me first. read more

Just had Sullivan's install granite countertops at my home. I am more than satisfied with ever aspect of the process. From the initial quote with Neil, he was very informative about the process, materials and options we could choose from. We opted to go with granite Neil had at his shop and we're glad to have saved on the slabs, which matched our desired look for our kitchen. We had our center island cut down to give our kitchen a more open feel. Neil's workers did an amazing job and may I say a very clean job. They made sure they cleaned everything up as they went along and the drywall cuts were nice. Sullivan's has a computer based measuring system which allows for accurate measuring without having to demo your current counters while you wait for your new counters to be installed. Makes a huge difference by having your kitchen operational during the process. The entire demo and install was 8 hours! Amazing! I thought I had finally found a professional and responsible company for granite countertops, I thought wrong. After a long measuring and order process, my countertops arrived 3 weeks later and both sink holes were wrong. After a long discussion with the installation personnel and the owner of the company I was pretty much told it was my fault and my cabinet guys fault. The young lady who does the measuring and camera templating is apparently as incompetent as she is rude. They will not cut sinks in any location of center of cabinet regardless of your placement prior to templating. If you do business prepare to be frustrated from beginning to end, and after all of that prepare to be very disappointed. read more

Not only did Sullivan's have a decent selection of remnants, but they also fabricated and installed it rather quickly. I cannot capture in Hi-rez the kitchens appearance from afar, due to limit of my iPhone. The installers were OK, though language barrier complicated chatter, but I had to guide them directly with regard to being square in relation to the stove and one small section. There were concerns over seams that were not in the plan, particularly the backsplash [three 3' pieces, which I felt compelled to accept] and now look terrible due to high visibility. Had to wrangle over an air gap hole, which we always had in this old home due to issues with drains - took two weeks to resolve so plummer could connect sinks!! Now after 60 days the grout where the backplash meets the counter, is cracked disintegrating, and discolored due to normal area use. I will not contact John, or particularly Jesus the sales rep that was condescending from the get-go. Done with this company. I will clear the grout and use the correct compound to avoid cracking. In spite of a $600 give back, this is not a satisfied cash customer. Make sure all details including job finish date, with penalty for missing, is in the contract and then hold them to it!! You will regret it if you don't. Follow up letter going to Costco as well. read more

So we bought shutters from Sullivans. The initial order Neil, the owner, was very nice and personable. Our Shutters once installed, showed alot of light thru and the one side was not level. Neil said it was our window. We placed a level on it our selves and it was off. We called again they took our sitter for a week. Came back. Still not level. And now one of the slates broke off . We called all week and was told different excuses why Neil did not call or he was out with other suckers, or clients . Our next step is to go in person and then court. Very disappointed. When my wife and I were looking to upgrade our old tile kitchen countertops with granite or quartz, we shopped around with several different companies, and Sullivan's was our last and best stop. Neil Sullivan (owner) came out himself and measured everything, and when we went in to select what turned out to be the very unique dark gray quartz slabs we saw on the lot, we were given the lowest price (by a couple hundred dollars) than any other competitor. One major verbal misunderstanding did arise - a couple of the quartz slabs we saw had narrow light (almost white) seams running through them, and my wife asked Neil to only use slabs without any seams in them that could be mistaken for cracks, which he agreed to try and do. However, when the countertops were delivered and installed, almost all had the seams in them. To say my wife was unhappy would be a major understatement. BTW, the installation was done very professionally, quick and precise. My wife called Neil to express her displeasure, and while he understood her frustration, since it would be a couple more days before the backsplashes were installed, he asked her to be patient and see how everything came together then. We agreed, and when the backsplashes were installed we were delighted to discover the designer had arranged everything so that the "seams" in the countertops flowed flawlessly into the seams in the backsplashes. Very unique and original, and now our old dingy kitchen is actually a delight and we enjoy cooking in it so much more than before. Don't know the name of the designer at Sullivan's, but major kudos to her for pulling off such a perfect and intricate design scheme and saving the day! We had initially been thinking we would have to settle for some bland white speckled quartz which was pretty much all most of the other competitors had in our price range. But when we saw the dark gray quartz and got the price on it, we knew we would have a beautiful kitchen which stood out from anything else (in a beautiful, not tacky way), and now we do. Can't recommend Sullivan's highly enough for quality of materials, great competitive prices, superb designer, and highly professional installation. read more

Under any circumstances Sullivan's provides an extraordinary level of customer service and a great product at a reasonable price. Under current circumstances where customer service seems to be of little importance to many businesses, it was a pleasure doing business with them. We bought shutters for our master bedroom, living and dining room (soon we'll add guest bedroom and office). Mary came early (after calling to see if okay) to measure and share her expertise. Cynthia quickly followed up with cost and after approval an installation date. She called about a month early to ask if they could do sooner, but we had not had awful blinds removed and patched yet.
