I highly recommend Sullivans Shutter Factory. Had them replace 5 broken slats on my shutters. The repairman arrived ahead of scheduled appointment. Very professional and did a wonderful job. I asked how I could tighten some slats that wouldn't stay open and he actually fixed a couple of slats I had a problem with and didn't charge me any extra. First they told me they have slabs to choose in their yard. They don't have slabs just samples. Sullivan gave me a quote for new counters and he said they will discount the slab from Arizona Tile to the wholesale price. They didn't give me the discounted wholesale price on the quote letter. Their quote was over $2,000 more than any others. Additionally, Sullivan never followed up afterward to see if I wanted to go forward. Poor customer service and they don't keep their word. I went with another Stone fabricator and am glad I found them. read more

This is a late review... but, still deserving. We moved to Palm Desert and the home we bought needed remodeling, with shutters being window covering of choice. Neil came promptly to offer an estimate and make suggestions that would best meet our needs. Out of three companies, Neil and Sullivan's gave us the lowest bid but it was Neil's professionalism and demeanor that sold us.... it didn't hurt that we saved money, too! Really!... one other company's employee actually spoke against purchasing Sullivan's Shutter product because it was "real wood"! Can you believe it? LOL So, I should pay more for a manufactured wood product over real wood? My husband just told me... that other company had sent an email, explaining they were changing their policy and if we would give them another chance. OMG! I'm still laughing! read more

The delivery and installation was seamless! The installers were friendly, fast and neat! The product is 5 star! Not a happy customer! I just had to call Sullivan's shutter company for a repair of the magnet that broke off of one of my sliding glass door shutters. I have had the shutters about a year. They scheduled the appt for Monday and repaired my shutter magnet as well as adjusted the doors. At the end of the job, the installer asked for $45 plus 5 dollars for the magnet. I was not expecting this, since I have had Sullivan Shutters before and never had a problem with them. Even if I had, they would have repaired them at no charge. I just had enough cash to pay. I asked if I could charge the amount and he said he could only accept cash. I got a receipt, but am still upset at them for not telling me of the change and how much it would be. I paid the man, who was actually very nice and helpful and had been with the company for 16 years. Then I called Sullivan's to ask why they didn't tell me there would be a charge. The person who answered the phone told me that Sullivans is under new management now and the previous owners sold the company to them. Just 3 weeks ago! Now they are charging for repairs and the drive to your house. I have other windows that need shutters and I will get them from Sullivan's so they will match my others, but I will not be recommending them to anyone now, because of the customer service. read more

The Sullivan's stone counter top installation team just left after demolishing our old counter top and installing the new quartz counter top. What an outstanding job! We started the process with Mary's visit to our home on May 29 to completion today. Just as Sullivan's TV ad states the crew removed the old and installed the new in one day. About 5 or 6 weeks ago Neil Sullivan who I assume is the owner (I asked and called receptionist and she said she could not inform me if Neil Sullivan was the owner or not) came to my house to quote cost of remodeling my 7 foot wide fireplace in my Palm Springs home. Two weeks later I was still waiting for my estimate so I called and spoke receptionist. She profusely apologized and said she would speak to him and have him call me. So I waited and waited.... It is again about 2 to 3 weeks later and no call back with explanation or an estimate. If you want to waste your time with a company that has NO respect for its clients or their time these are the people you want to contact. If you have better things to do go someplace else. read more

Good people and a good product but if you want to match your color to existing trim, be VERY specific. The sales person was suppose to measure every window in the house. When the shutters were delivered, one window did not get measured. I had the house newly painted so I was specific that I wanted the paint matched. What I got was an almost match and flat. What I wanted was an exact match to the doors and trim. Being off a little was not acceptable. For $6,000 I expect what was promised, an exact match. What I got was someone who cannot see the difference in color and finish so I got an argument. I won't recommend Sullivan because their high end product is not met with high end delivery. I absolutely am blown away by the entire experience I had with Sullivan Stone for my Quartz kitchen countertops. I've been a homeowner in the desert for over 40 years and have had multiple services for various Home Improvement projects. Over the years I've experienced enough broken promises, substandard work, and empty sales pitches to be skeptical when staring new projects. I had several quotes arranged for the counters. When Mary arrived from Sullivan she had such passion/pride for her company that it was remarkable to me-she had glowing things to say about the entire team and she brought it down to a personal enthusiastic endorsement unlike anything I've ever seen. Once I chose them I got to experience her perspective first hand and I found myself understanding her feelings. Jesus came to measure and displayed such confidence and skill. He too spoke highly of all coworkers and the company. He worked efficiently and left me feeling like this was indeed going to be a positive experience. When demo/installation day came the team of men lead by Alfonso was professional, focused, personable and efficient! AS PROMISED all pieces (fabricated at their shop) fit completely perfectly. They started at 9AM and were finished by 3pm with everything cleaned up and looking beautiful!!!! No other stone place offers to do demo and install in ONE Day!! With every encounter along the way, I felt like these were all people I genuinely liked. The office staff were each delightful to deal with every time! I don't usually spend this amount of time on reviews, but this place is special and should be recognized for being far beyond "a place that does good work but is simply running a business". They are a very unique entity that is leaving their mark professionally and personally in this Valley. I've never had this kind of experience in the Desert with any other business. I tried going here for the shutters and other window coverings that I was looking for, but after seeing their "showroom" if you can call it that, and how their products were BARELY just hung on the wall by what looks like an unexperienced teenager, I became immediately skeptical. The lady at the desk was polite, but it took her forever to find someone to even assist me, as the main people were out of the office. After talking with a gentleman and getting a very rude comment and look from him for asking to get a glimpse of the work shop, (yes, I am one of those people who likes to see how my products are made), I realized that the shutters are not made from actual solid pieces of wood. Instead, it looks like it is scrap wood, almost composite, if you will, that has been pieced and glued together to make it "solid" wood. He assured me that it would not make a difference in the reliability of the shutters, and in fact, they "only" use that wood on painted jobs, on their stain jobs they use the 'real' solid wood. I did not trust to spend over $10,000 on new shutters for my home, on top of the awning and solar blinds that I was interested in. Not to mention that they do granite/tile as well. one would think that if you are going to be a business and advertise yourself in a specific trade of work, that you would stick with that. I find it a little strange that they "specialize in shutters" but then also do granite/tile, on top of trying to pass themselves off as a company that can do other window coverings; motorized blinds and what I assume is awnings as well. The displays in the showroom were not working, and hung crooked. Sullivan's was also very hard to find to begin with, as they gave me VERY specific directions on how to get there, to which I figured out why once I left, as there is another shutter and window covering company right down the road, that they didn't want me to see on the way to their building. read more

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Had shutters installed this week on the entire back of our windows interior. First of all they quoted me half of what other shutter/blind companies quoted. The quality of the shutters is top notch real sturdy wood. The communication pre installation by office staff was timely and constant. The installers showed up right on time, worked diligently, with courtesy and cleaned up all the mess. We had shutters on the front of our windows already when we moved in and they look so cheap now when I compare them to my new Sullivan Shutters.
