Needed to get a damaged vinyl floor board replaced. The filler color was off in one area of the board. Spoke to Todd, and he said we'll make it right. Sent out his guy who corrected the issue. Great to know they follow through on what they tell you on the phone. Appreciate that. Would definitely use them again in the future if I have another damaged plank. It's a skill to replace a board in the middle of the floor. It took me a while to find a business that knows how to handle the job. Hats off to Todd for his customer service! read more

In an exhaustive search for the right flooring for our kitchen and breakfast nook, we were referred to Desert Springs Tile which was in the same proximity of other similar stores. We first met Todd, who gave us a couple of samples to take home, and even though the first ones weren't light enough for our taste, it was simple to stop by later and pick up a larger and much lighter one. We left it on the floor for a couple days and decided that it was perfect! We called the store and though Todd wasn't in, Francine was able to take our order... I stopped into Desert Springs Tile about a year ago, as my wife and I were planning to revamp our small side yard with some stepping stones around the perimeter, and a planter area in the middle. I was able to speak with the owner, who was super nice, and rather than give me some exorbitant bid to do the job (which is kind of what I was expecting), he spent about half an hour telling me how I could do the job myself, and save a lot of money. Turned out that he was right, and I really didn't need to be intimidated by doing the job myself. The owner may have been thinking to himself "this is too small of a job for me," but it sure didn't come across that way. Wow, was that ever a breath of fresh air -- and the satisfaction of doing the job myself was amazing. Then, last week, the wife asked me to pick up some granite cleaner, and since I was in the area, I stopped into Desert Springs Tile. I checked in on Yelp, and what do you know -- just for checking in, I got a free bottle of granite cleaner!! Score! Just as I was beginning to think these folks may never make any money off of me, the lady in the showroom, Francine, showed me some of their newest arrivals, like a carpet that had a rhino living on it for a week and then cleaned up perfectly (the carpet, not the rhino). I need me some of that carpet (even though we have a house cat, not a rhino), and I have some carpet that needs replacing, badly. This is my second time doing business with DST&C Desert Springs Tile and Carpet! Again they went above and beyond! We needed carpet for 3 bedrooms and a den! We went into their beautiful showroom on Tuesday, so many different carpets to choose from but they explained and helped us find the perfect carpet for our home. I have never had a more frustrating and unprofessional experience. Spending a ton of money on one project and them knowing I had a kitchen remodel for them to do, too, did not seem to matter... Here is what I wrote to the owner when I sadly made my final payment after they never once tried to offer me a discount or an apology... After weeks of back and forth waiting on fixes, I had no energy to fight with them. "I just wanted to let you know we are still not happy with the seam on the countertop. When I talked to Todd yesterday he was a bit dismissive and said "Sometimes a seam is a seam." That may be easy for him to say, but when we have paid this amount of money nearly $5,000 we wanted perfection. Obviously, we will not be using you for our kitchen counters after all the mishaps with Fernando and the entire unprofessional and poor quality initial installation, the crappy 2nd fix and then finally a 3rd fix which still is not quite right. On the 2nd fix Todd assured me he would come by at least once or twice to ensure that everything would be done perfectly. As you and he know, he never did show up. I let you personally know from day one I had issues communicating with Fernando. Much of this could have been adverted had someone else come out when I mentioned this to you. Fernando's and his "helper's" sloppy and careless work is beyond comprehension. From trying to hide huge mistakes (Curvature in the area of the granite slab connections, huge gap between BBQ and wall, poor matching seams, etc.) for only me to find and have to call out to leaving dozens of sharp razor blades on my pool decking, gardens and driveway." Carpet Installation. After an aborted transaction with Carpet Empire Plus in Indio, we shopped at many places in the east valley for replacement carpeting for our two-bedroom Monarch in Trilogy LQ. The store has a large selection and I was able to pick out the granite I wanted and get it installed in a short time. DO NOT do business with this company. Our homeowner's association placed a $14,000 carpet order through Desert Tile and Carpet in January 2020. They basically took our money and has not returned any communication to us after months of attempting to contact the company to find out where our carpet/money is. Even the owner has ignored us. We also reached out to multiple contacts Desert Tile and Carpet they have done nothing to help us get our money back. These people have ignored me as well and it is now almost February 2021. We still have not received our money back. We have engaged our Home Owner Associations law firm and are in the process of filing a law suit against Desert Tile and Carpet off Dinah Shore in Rancho Mirage. I am also in the process of filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau. This is a dirty, dirty company and it is unbelievable that a company would even think they can get away with this.
