Victoria was so responsive and helpful during the planning, and when the day for the event came, she was completely prepared, and basically did EVERYTHING. She told me days before that we wouldn't have to worry about anything to do with the food, and she was right. She was flexible and worked with us to tailor the menu, and everything was delicious! They catered two events that were thrown for me and each time they were amazing. My baby shower a few years ago was a beautiful spread that everyone raves about. My going away party this past summer was covid friendly with pre packages sandwiches and salads to ensure everyone safety. Victoria did a GREAT job for my mother's funeral luncheon. She was very flexible with food options, delivered food early with generous portions, and everything was delicious. When you speak with her she explains all options well, and you can tell she is passionate about cooking and focused on making sure your results are excellent. The 3 types of salads (often left over at events) were a hit with bright, tasty veggies and nice combinations. The chicken with pancetta was great, and the 5 cheese mac and cheese was a big hit also. The beef brisket was also tasty, as were the rolls (did our own desserts/drinks). . We used another well-known local caterer a year earlier with mediocre results, much happier with Sumac. Wow! Victoria really went above and beyond for our bridal shower (35 people). Not only was the food delicious, she came with an assistant right on time to set everything up for us so we didn't have to worry about a thing. We also had plenty of leftovers and are still enjoying her delicious cooking. Sometimes in Easton/Hellertown it can be challenging to find a quality restaurant, but we definitely found that with Sumac! In the planning stages, she was very responsive to emails and phone calls and was very accommodating with our budget. She helped us to have a wonderful spread of food that our guests raved about. The caterer was very easy to work with and was extremely kind, creative, and attentive in working with me on food allergies. She arrived promptly at the agreed upon time with PLENTY of food for our guests, and everything was truly delicious. I'm a foodie and spent some time finding a caterer with an interesting and scratch-made bent- and Sumac did not disappoint! We particularly enjoyed the Mediterranean wraps with roasted veg and pesto, the pasta primavera in the garlic sauce, the beet pumpkin salad, and the chicken salad in homemade aoili. We had a last minute wedding in my daughters backyard in Bethlehem this past weekend. Sumac Catering came to our rescue when a well known Easton restaurant failed to send us the proposal they repeatedly promised. Thank goodness I found Sumac!! Victoria could not have been more helpful and pleasant to work with. I think she sensed our stress and she really delivered. The food was excellent and abundant. She went above and beyond in her service. She stayed to help us set up and even got us a table last minute when we realized we needed more room. We enlisted the help of Sumac to feed the guests at our housewarming party and they went SO far above and beyond expectations - I need an excuse to throw another party so we can try more of their food! The setup was fast and they worked with dozens of people in and out of the kitchen, the staff was both professional and personable (I think Victoria may have mingled with our guests even more than I did, she is so outgoing and kind), and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I cannot speak highly enough about the spread that was presented for our guests - the appetizer trays prepared were not only delicious but were presented so beautifully it seemed disgraceful to dig in! When the entrees were served our friends and family raved about the dishes for hours, going back for second and third servings and continuously commenting on how impressed they all were.
