The entire staff went above and beyond to make our big day so special, and our family and friends were absolutely raving about the beauty of the venue, both inside and out. Many of them said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The setting is so beautiful, and we had our ceremony outside in the pavilion. Cocktail hour was out on the porch/lawn, and the reception was in the main room. Everything was impeccably set up and decorated, and the staff worked so hard to bring my vision to life. The caterer that they recommended was excellent, and there was seamless coordination between the winery and all of the vendors. Brook Hollow has a large, diverse selection of wines, and we and our guests thoroughly enjoyed several of them throughout the day. We look forward to going back in the future for some of the winery's events, as well as to the tasting room to enjoy and stock up on the amazing wines.

The property has roughly four acres of open field for guests to walk around and enjoy, and our child was simply playing in the grass while we supervised. Unfortunately, one patron--who had apparently enjoyed enough wine to feel entitled to comment on someone else's parenting--decided to tell us how we should raise our child. She then went to speak with her friend, who happened to be the owner's wife, and the situation escalated from there. Our child was safe, calm, supervised, and never once in danger. We understand that people have opinions, but unsolicited judgment, staring, comments, and confrontations about our parenting were completely unnecessary. The irony is that certain adults seemed far more interested in policing our child than enjoying their own day. If children playing safely on several acres of open property are a problem, perhaps that should be clearly communicated before families attend. We came to enjoy a Labor Day event and support a winery we had previously enjoyed. Instead, we left feeling judged and confronted. Based on our experience, I would not consider this a welcoming or kid-friendly environment.
