We toured several facilities in the area and Stone Valley stood out to us because it was only Memory Care and the one-story layout felt like a big, beautiful house. Residents were engaged in activities, and the atmosphere was so calm. We decided to admit my mother-in-law on a one-month respite so we could evaluate whether or not this was the right decision. This is no easy decision as anyone who has faced this knows. On the day of her admission, Megan and Aileene greeted us and helped get her situated and then immediately got her engaged in an activity. She had some difficult moments for several weeks but by the time the month was up, she had adjusted quite well and actually thought she worked there as she had a nursing background and was a former assistant director of nursing at a nursing home. The atmosphere at Stone Valley is always very calm. Residents can walk as much as they want and participate in activities they choose. Residents are treated to a lovely dining room and are served three wonderful meals every day in addition to receiving 2 snacks. There is a salon on site and residents can get their hair and nails done. Maggie is phenomenal. Residents are treated with such dignity, and the caregivers are so compassionate, caring, and kind. Ben King is the current executive director and he and his team lead by example. My mother-in-law sadly passed away two days ago, and the entire team was supportive and loving. Prior to her passing she would tell us, "I love this place!" We are beyond grateful for the love and support both my mother-in-law and our family received. If you are facing a similar decision with a loved one, I would highly recommend giving them a call and taking a tour.

The services, food and care are in decline and management chooses to not do anything about it. The staff is rude, the food is horrible and the care is of low quality. My mother had jewelry stolen, staff yell at her and inedible food supplied. I share this for those of you looking for a place, as I would not suggest placing your loved one here. I didn't realize how bad it was until she moved and she is so happy with a positive environment and good food. My mom is cognitive enough to know what was going on and the staff didn't want to deal with her complaints. It makes me wonder how badly residents are treated that don't know what is going on.

I know in our case that the staff have treated our loved one with respect and kindness from day one. I try to thank them every time I visit and am continually impressed by their patience and cheerful attitude. I am reviewing this facility based on my interviews with management in late 2023. I met with Carla…read moreLevingston in person and she was able to give me an approximate level of care cost in addition to the monthly fee. She was totally honest about the coming rate increases. She answered my questions completely. The rooms here are private rooms each with private bathrooms. There is room for larger beds if a couple wants to move in together or 2 twin beds and chairs and dresser etc. Each resident brings their own furniture, TV etc. This facility now offers one "house" with independent living. This facility is VERY DIFFERENT from other larger assisted living homes. It is more like a group of individual group homes. Each residence has a group of caregivers. NOTE: The 2nd person fee on price sheet is applied when a second person lives full time in the same room but does not need assisted living. What totally attracted me to Park Place was that they would allow me to sleep over without charge and pay $5 for a meal if I wanted. This was very attractive to me. I was ready to move my husband here because of that ability. The only reason I did not move him here was because it was 15-20 minutes away from my home and I found a small group home 1.4 miles away that also allows me to sleep over if I want. I highly recommend Park Place to anyone considering a care facility for a loved one. It's beautiful and the manager Carla is very helpful. If you find this review helpful PLEASE VOTE!
