Cappuccino with a cool bear! Heck yeah!
    John D.

In the morning it is quiet and clean. A good spot for a cup of coffee. If you order a cappuccino "for here" you get it in a ceramic mug. What a concept! I feel like if you pay over $5 for a coffee, you should be able to skip the paper and plastic waste. They allow you to bring in outside food. So you can pick up something tasty at Ultra Coffee Bar and eat it here away from the crowds.

Summit Coffee is the perfectly convenient stop for coffee while wandering downtown. I'd been to the River Arts District a few times while in the area, so it's sad to see they were hit so badly by Helene. Luckily this location is still around! We stopped in for a morning pick me up before heading to Bebette's - and the Maple Sea Salt Iced Coffee was calling my name. I found it to be a little watered down for my tastes but maybe it's because I'm used to iced americanos, shaken espressos and cold brew. However, the seasonal flavor of the maple sea salt really had me getting into the holiday spirit. The interior is small and intimate with some outdoor seating as well, although it was freezing when we arrived so we were definitely not going to partake.

The coffee experience was really great! I enjoyed my drink which was ordered half sweet. They nailed it! I forgot to ask what kind of beans they use but it was smooth tasting and non bitter. If I lived in this area I would certainly have this place in my regular rotation. The staff was very friendly and they were playing some great music too! Recommended!

Time: 8am Monday & 2pm Wednesday Drinks: Iced Mocha Latte & Iced Caramel Mocha Latte Pros: -Small, local shop. -Friendly staff. -Not a long wait. -Iced mocha latte was delicious. Made perfectly. Cons: -Very small shop. -The iced caramel mocha latte was very sweet. Tasted like chocolate milk. Too sweet. -A little pricey. -Not a lot of ice in the drink so it melted too quickly.

Service and ambiance take it all but we ordered Cold Match latte and hot chocolate, both were pretty bland. Matcha was the worst all it had was milk and lumps of matcha powder. We threw away both the drinks.

    Excellent Iced Caramel Latte.

Cute little place and excellent coffee. The service was fast and friendly and the outside seating is convenient for a little break. Not really enough room inside to post up with a laptop if you're looking to do some work, but great if you need a pick-me-up and/or want to sit outside at the tables.

Placed a quick online order while we were out and about. They had a special drink which was a berry tea with coconut foam and it was delicious. The inside was teeny tiny, but was fine as I was just grabbing out drinks to go. I placed my order with the app and by the time I got there it was ready. Summit never disappoints and this was no exception.

Cozy atmosphere with kind employees and an excellent location downtown close to lots of hotels and shopping. I had a vanilla latte and it was the perfect level of flavor without being too sweet. It was perfect for a cold day.

Stopped here to get coffee. Workers were really nice and super quick. It was a bit overpriced in my opinion but the coffee was great.

Coffee bar area. There's limited sitting inside but it's super cute

Stumbled upon this place as my hubby, in-laws and I were strolling through downtown Asheville. As soon as you walk in, you immediately know this coffee is about to be blazin'! The two baristas (who I thought were also the owners) were super nice and recommended two amazing drinks: the iced rose matcha latte w/oat milk and the blueberry honeysuckle latte. While I technically didn't order my own drink I tasted both and was blown away. The rose matcha latte was AMAZING! I never thought about putting those two flavors together, but it worked. I loved it so much that I ended getting one the next day at their Arts District location. Summit Coffee, I shall be back for more goodness!

We tried the cappuccino and regular light roast coffee and it was terrible. I don't know what that was but it wasn't coffee.

Every recommendation was spot on--even the radish cocktail that I wasn't sure about at first! What really stood out was the hospitality. We spent some time chatting with who we believe were the owners, hearing the story behind the bar and talking about Asheville. Those conversations made the experience just as memorable as the drinks. If you happen to remember the two Florida ladies who stopped in for a bit, thank you for making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Asheville. Highly recommend!

The space itself is incredibly cool, featuring exposed concrete, a massive back bar, a vintage print shop sign, and my personal favorite--a disco ball chandelier. The bartenders were so welcoming and fantastic to chat with during our visit. They were running a super fun '90s throwback menu while we were there. If it's still available when you drop in, definitely try the "Last Time Lover" and "Smells Like Green Spirit." The Last Time Lover even came with a nostalgic butterfly clip holding a Spice Girls photo! If you're a cocktail fan, I highly recommend this spot. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Asheville.

Tucked away near the end of Broadway, Rowan possesses a warm and understated charm. The soft lighting and calm atmosphere create a cozy ambiance that exudes thoughtfully curated design, while the gentle hum of conversation and espresso machines add a touch of life to the space. It's the kind of coffee shop where rainy afternoons feel like a cinematic scene from your favorite film. Recently, I met a date here, as Rowan seemed like the perfect setting for such a memorable beginning. After we greeted one another with an intimate kiss just outside the doors of Rowan Coffee, I observed a Duchenne smile flash across her face before we embarked on what became an emotionally recursive, psychologically layered Asheville odyssey, as we explored Malaprop's Bookstore, the Grove Arcade, Wall Street, Pack Square Park, I.M. Pei's connection to structures outside both the Louvre and the Asheville Art Museum, French Broad Chocolate, Cúrate, and the South Slope. The coffee at Rowan is truly exceptional. Each cup is thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and served with care by passionate baristas. It can be rather challenging to find premium cold brew these days, but the cold brew on offer here is some of the best I've found in Asheville. Whether you're enjoying a cappuccino, catching up with a friend, or studying/working near the back, Rowan provides the perfect atmosphere for unwinding and savoring the moment. My date ordered a mocha that morning, and based on the enthusiasm with which it disappeared, I'd be remiss not to mention it. The mochas are so good here that girls do circle back. And if you don't, you're missing out. What truly sets Rowan apart is its comfort. It's an intimate space without being overcrowded; it's stylish without being pretentious. It encourages conversation, reflection, and even accidental three-hour stays.
