Best coffee I had in Asheville! I compare everything to Factory Coffee in Michigan, and this came quite close. I prefer cafes that roast their own beans, as it tends to provide richer and more flavorful coffee! Would definitely recommend this to any coffee lover!

Big fan. Did my research and heard this was the spot for a great coffee. Knowing that I have an earthy, herbal palate, I was excited to hear they had a chicory root house-made flavoring, and added it to my oat milk latte with a splash of honey. Service was quick and staff was very friendly and welcoming. To watch them roast the beans in house while I waited for my coffee was a treat. Ended up chatting with a local on her laptop; was very fortunate to learn about the nearby area which added to the overall exceptional experience. Highly recommended!

I had read about this coffee shop and when I saw it on my way to a shop I decided to stop in. I got an iced chai. I think 90% of it was milk. It was weak but cold and did refresh me. It wasn't what I hoped it would be which was more tea based.

Great cold brew coffee! Smooth and delicious. Loved my beverage. Interior is industrial with cool artwork (pin up cats!) that is fun to look at. Overall, a cool space with a super nice barista in the arts district. Perfect for a caffeine bump or a quick sit as you explore all the great galleries nearby.

Very good coffee roaster with great selection of options. This location has an on-site roaster so it is nice to see it in action. The pourover option is not readily available but overall not bad of a place to check out!

Came here to grab a quick cup. I ordered an iced Super Rad latter with almond milk $4. It was bold, smooth, and had great flavor. The service was fast and friendly. The shop is small, but seating is available. Cat mural is fantastic!

This coffee shop has an open floor plan where you can actually see the beans being roasted and packaged. We were greeted right away by the barista who eagerly helped us make our selections. The coffee was bold and rich and the lavender flavor was the best we've had. The branding was impeccable, we highly recommend for coffee enthusiasts.

Great coffee! Cool vibe. I ordered a cappuccino and a Rad latte along with a couple of bags of coffee beans. Coffee drinks were amazing, barista was very hospitable and coffee beans were fresh. Must visit place for a coffee enthusiast.

Loved this coffee shop. They roast for themselves, which, in my book, makes them legit.

The space itself is incredibly cool, featuring exposed concrete, a massive back bar, a vintage print shop sign, and my personal favorite--a disco ball chandelier. The bartenders were so welcoming and fantastic to chat with during our visit. They were running a super fun '90s throwback menu while we were there. If it's still available when you drop in, definitely try the "Last Time Lover" and "Smells Like Green Spirit." The Last Time Lover even came with a nostalgic butterfly clip holding a Spice Girls photo! If you're a cocktail fan, I highly recommend this spot. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Asheville.

Their espresso martini is probably the best I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Every bartender here is incredibly knowledgeable. They can make anything you ask for and then walk you through the history and origins of the cocktail like you're getting a mini masterclass with your drink. The bar itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of spirits and a menu full of creative cocktails featuring ingredient combinations you'd never expect to work together -- but somehow they absolutely do. It's also one of the best places in the city to sit back and people-watch while enjoying a perfectly made drink. Do not skip The Times -- honestly, it's worth going out of your way to stop there.

We stopped here before visiting the Biltmore, and while parking was a bit of a challenge, it was absolutely worth it. We ended up parking on the street up the hill near some residential homes, but don't let that deter you. One of the coolest parts was being able to watch the doughnuts being made right in front of us. There was a line when we arrived, and we waited about 15 minutes to order and another 10 minutes or so for our doughnuts. Even with the wait, I'd do it all over again. The doughnuts were incredibly fresh, warm, light, and fluffy. Every flavor we tried was delicious, but the vanilla glazed and the toasted almond sesame cinnamon were my favorite. Tucked away near the end of Broadway, Rowan possesses a warm and understated charm. The soft lighting and calm atmosphere create a cozy ambiance that exudes thoughtfully curated design, while the gentle hum of conversation and espresso machines add a touch of life to the space. It's the kind of coffee shop where rainy afternoons feel like a cinematic scene from your favorite film. Recently, I met a date here, as Rowan seemed like the perfect setting for such a memorable beginning. After we greeted one another with an intimate kiss just outside the doors of Rowan Coffee, I observed a Duchenne smile flash across her face before we embarked on what became an emotionally recursive, psychologically layered Asheville odyssey, as we explored Malaprop's Bookstore, the Grove Arcade, Wall Street, Pack Square Park, I.M. Pei's connection to structures outside both the Louvre and the Asheville Art Museum, French Broad Chocolate, Cúrate, and the South Slope. The coffee at Rowan is truly exceptional. Each cup is thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and served with care by passionate baristas. It can be rather challenging to find premium cold brew these days, but the cold brew on offer here is some of the best I've found in Asheville. Whether you're enjoying a cappuccino, catching up with a friend, or studying/working near the back, Rowan provides the perfect atmosphere for unwinding and savoring the moment. My date ordered a mocha that morning, and based on the enthusiasm with which it disappeared, I'd be remiss not to mention it. The mochas are so good here that girls do circle back. And if you don't, you're missing out. What truly sets Rowan apart is its comfort. It's an intimate space without being overcrowded; it's stylish without being pretentious. It encourages conversation, reflection, and even accidental three-hour stays.
