My most recent visit with Dr. Ok was disappointing, especially compared to my earlier experiences. I went in last December to get a cap placed on my tooth, and unfortunately the service I received felt subpar. Not only did the appointment leave me feeling rushed, but my tooth actually hurt worse afterward than it did before the procedure. I was genuinely shocked, because I expected the issue to be resolved, not made more painful. At this point, I'm unsure about returning and would have appreciated more care, attention, and follow‑up regarding the discomfort I experienced. Then to make matters worst the practice double bill my insurance for the service this caused my benefits to go to zero dollars and I still had to pay out of pocket roughly 800.00 dollars. I have been a patient for many years and I have excellent oral health. I was surprised when they wanted to fill a "cavity" at my last visit (after a very rough and painful cleaning). I was a patient at Summit Dentist for nearly 4 years and despite high turnover of dentists and hygienists, I was always happy with the quality of care I received for regular cleanings. However, I recommend avoiding this practice for crown work. I received a crown in March 2023 that required a second impression of the teeth after the first one produced an ill-fitted crown. Afterwards, I developed pain in the tooth below the crown because the crown wasn't properly adjusted after it was placed. I received a second adjustment in August 2023 and then required a third adjustment in February 2024 which still did not resolve the problem. Even worse, my insurance was billed for the February 2024 adjustment. In my opinion, if the practice does problematic work, they should take accountability to fix it without additional charges to the patient. I reached out to Summit Dentist to share my experience and provide them an opportunity to reverse the billing, but they never returned my call. read more

It's taken me a while to write this review because I wanted to be certain about what I needed to say. I went to Dr. Ok for a routine cleaning and check up. She told me that I needed a deep cleaning and I had to get them every 3 months. She also told me that if I did not do them that I would eventually lose all my teeth. I've never had a dentist be so blunt, but ok. I started to do them and they told me that I was going to be treated for periodontal, which is a costly treatment. Not to worry, I had good insurance. They gave me these ridiculous prices and when I called my insurance, they advised me to seek other opinions from other dentists. When I confronted the receptionist about this, she quickly said that I did not follow the instructions of the dentist, so they could no longer see me as a patient. She even sent me a letter of dismissal. So, I went to both a periodontal dentist and regular dentist by my job. Both told me that I did not have periodontal disease and that 2 regular cleanings a year would be enough. Dr. Ok and the rest of the staff love charging insurances for $$$. Three years later and I have all my pearly whites and no expensive deep cleanings required. I know they love charging insurances, but I do not appreciate false information just for a quick dollar. I tried scheduling a Botox visit (first time customer) the woman on the phone (Dee) asked if I was using a Groupon or joining their Botox program before telling me what their availability was. I said I wasn't sure about the program yet. She said if I joined the program she could get me an appointment sooner. WHAT?! Dr. Erin Welfel is such a caring and if efficient dentist. I've been to many other dentists and they've hurt my mouth, she's so gentle. They also used a digital scanner to make my night guard for me. I went to go get Botox there. I had purchased a Groupon only after looking up some reviews and seeing that it was positive before I made the decision to purchase this Groupon before I purchase a Groupon I called and made sure that they had availability in the timeframe that I wanted and would be able to do the areas that I wanted which was that my cheeks and my forehead over the phone. I confirmed that this was OK and made my appointment. When I went in the doctor told me that they don't do that with the Groupon Ie that part of my face and that they would not split it 20 in my forehead and 20 in each cheek if I wanted more in my forehead I would need to purchase more units even though I have been using only sixty units in my whole face for years now. The office is clean, bright and uber friendly. The whole process from appointment to the "event" of getting my cavities filled was painless and a breeze. Dr. Ok and her staff are friendly and efficient and I didn't have to wait. Even if I had, I wouldn't have minded as each room has a TV to watch and magazines to read to keep you occupied. She was in and out, quick and painless, and next thing I knew, my 4 cavities were taken care of. I recently had a visit with her for Botox and the staff takes every precaution to make their facility Covid safe following every guideline and even more precautions. I couldn't imagine letting anyone else touch my face except for Dr. OK. Her assistant Fran is one of the loveliest people I have ever met. Dr. Ok. Did you actually read my review? I did not ask for any freebies. Nor did I threaten you I am a paralegal I know the law. However you did not inform me during my appointment that it might not last due to my metabolism my age and what not. I was calling your office within three months after my appointment with you. It took you six months to return my phone call. During that phone call I clearly stated I had been trying to get in touch with you and I would like to come in and have additional services done. You told me to go to another doctor, to see if it lasted. I have never heard of such a thing. You were rude inconsiderate back talking and we're trying to make sense out of nonsense. Your office is completely always trying to sell me into being into your 'upgrade' program to spend more money. Your response was beyond false hoods and false statements on your behalf. Once again you are not Accredited with the Better Business Bureau. What you did was absolutely wrong not returning my phone call after a short period of time once again telling me all these factors how the Botox would not last this came nine months after when I called three months after my appointment and immediately things were disappearing hence your products are watered down in my opinion. Stick to dentistry, that is your formal training and forte. I admire that you tried to make a side hustle with Botox and filler's however I've had better with way more professionalism. Excellent practice. The most professionals dentist group I've ever had. They explain everything the details of the procedure, a detailed dentistry plan, and a financial plan. The entire team is friendly and knowledgeable, the waiting area is comfortable and clean, they are always on time, they offer weekend hours and their check ups are comprehensive, looking at teeth, gums, and my overall oral health. The only thing I wish I could change is their parking. It's a small lot so you need to give yourself plenty of time to find alternate parking if the lot is full at the time of your appointment.
