I hired Summit for a $4,000.00 fence job in my back yard. Simple job. Summit placed a corner fence post in wrong position so fence had poor attachment at this spot. After begging Summit to repair (they insist it was ok), they did a fast repair job in which they didn't put enough cement in the corner post hole. The worker was very rude and kept insisting they dont have to repair. VERY unprofessional The double gate near the corner post drooped where the closing mechanism didn't work due to weak corner post. Lee, the owner, said this is normal and I should hit the locking mechanism with a rock to correct. I'm not kidding!!!!!!!! I further begged Lee to repair correctly. He was very difficult to deal with. After about 4 phone calls, we negotiated a repair for $100.00. I agreed (wanted the fence fixed!) Lee didn't show up at repair date. Does not answer my calls. Lee, is the owner. By the way, they are more expensive then others, I hired them and waited for their availability., as I thought I was paying for a superior product. LOL! Lee Tuck, the owner of Summit Fence, is a straight shooter who will give you the best deal he can. For us, he's cleaned up a significant mess by a contractor who we hired through a personal referral (rather than using Yelp and independent research, as normal). He's overseen a professional salvage of substandard work, and put up a beautiful fence in place of everything that needed to be replaced. At this point, we're just waiting for the motors to the gates that he created in his shop; he tells us it will be completed within a short time, contingent upon us reaching an agreement with a landscaper. Despite the good initial rating, Summit Fence has refused to help us fix a portion of a fence that had to be removed due to having trees removed. In all honesty, the fence is installed nicely, but they failed to put the correct locks on the gate, due to having a pool. It cost us a failed inspection and extra money to have the proper pool locks installed. The owner called us and pleaded for a 5 star rating based on the fact that they came out and installed the fence quickly. However, they installed the incorrect locks. Foolishly, we changed the rating to 5 stars. This is regretted due to the fact he will no longer assist us. read more

Had estimates from three fencing companies to install less than 100 feet of metal fence. I chose Summit (even though they were by far the most expensive) based on the quality of the estimate and the great reviews...shame on me! After nearly two months (I was informed upfront that there was a significant installation delay), my fence was installed in less than two hours. I thought that was extremely quick but from 20 yards away, everything looked good. It wasn't until later that afternoon that I had a chance to inspect the job. What I found was ridiculous...numerous scratches & gouges, missing screws & caps, misaligned posts, fencing not properly connected and razor blades left at my home. In my mind, I was either provided "second-hand" material or the installers were incompetent. After I complained, I was assured it was new material so it was obviously a horrible installation effort. To Summit's credit, they did come back to "repair" the fencing. The reason the word repair is in quotes is because that consisted mainly of sanding and painting...so we will see if that holds up to the elements. You would also think that the company would have offered some consideration (discount) under the circumstances but that was not forthcoming. As a matter of fact, they invoiced me the original quoted amount when it was obvious less material was utilized (had to call to have someone come back and re-measure). The pictures tell the story and it is impossible for Summit to refute this review except to say that this would never happen again and it was a "one-off" situation...well aren't we all "one-off" customers? So from one consumer to another, please find any other fencing company beside Summit Fence as it will save you a money, time and a lot of heartache. read more

looking for landscaping planning. no one to ask except lady at register. after waiting in line a lady comes out and I hear she's the owner. She speaks to everyone in line except me. Then one of the patrons in line says this gentleman was here first. The lady reluctantly asked me what I needed and I said I'd like to speak to someone about landscape plan. She evidently didn't like the way I asked i guess stared at me Then walked right past me to her office without acknowledging my presence and I never saw her again. I left at that point. I planned on giving this company 5 stars after my installation today however I am very disappointed in the fact that my initial request was not noted or taken seriously. My representative CJ talked about his life and everything under the sun but he failed to take note of my request for my fencing to look exactly like my neighbors fencing across the street. I am not fence expert and when CJ asked me about Dog Ear later in our conversation and sent pictures via email I explained to him that I thought he was stating the material type was Dog Ear and I didn't know he was talking about the fence style. Why are we talking about the fence style later in the conversation when I already pointed to the fence across the street with fascia and told CJ that is what I wanted. He said he didn't remember that, he doesn't have it in his notes. For $6,300.00 its not my fault he wanted to talk about his daughter eating pizza instead of making a note that I wanted the same fence style as my neighbors across the street. If Dog Ear was a style he should have informed me that it would not look like the fence across the street. Now according to CJ the owner of Summit Fence said my fence would not look good if they add the fascia to it now and they want to charge me to redo the fence to my liking, they already have my deposit money. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, just add my fascia like I asked for and I will take care of the rest of the fence in which I see I will also have to fill in some gaps at the bottom in certain locations. I sent the homeowners association pictures of the fence across the street for approval to build my fence and now I have this issue that CJ nor the owner seems to want to fix without additional fees. One simple request add the fascia free of charge because that is what I ask CJ for the day of my quote. Who pays $6300.00 for a fence and does not get what they asked for because CJ did not write it in his notes? Its his notes not mine! I know what I wanted! I wish I saw the post from February 2022 before I selected this company. I was planning on a positive outcome...unfortunate. read more

He was professional, but I could tell from the beginning of the conversation that he wasn't very interested in the project. Everything about their product and customer service deserves to be bragged about, seriously. I was referred to them by a general contractor who uses them exclusively for his projects. They installed a gorgeous privacy fence designed to keep my dog safe in the back yard, and a pretty picket fence in the front yard along the property line separating my lot from my neighbor's lot. They did an outstanding job. My fence was broken by tree cutters when they dropped a big branch. They tried to glue back everything but it fell apart again. I knew I had to find someone who knows how to fix a fence, and to my surprise most fence companies did not want to work with this vinyl fence. The post had to be replaced, but we couldn't find a match because material was discontinued. Summit fence was able to make a custom made order, replaced the post and fixed not only the damaged fence, but a misaligned gate and other gaps within the entire fence area.
