I don't like the way they've pruned the shrubs in our community because they look too formal and unnatural since they obviously use an electric trimmer and round them into balls or into boxy shrubs. The roots were exposed above the ground and a lot underground. Dan came by and gave us a reasonable estimate. We weren't in a hurry and he said he would find an available time in the near future. He showed up a few weeks later. We did not have to call him again like we have had to do with many contractors who promise and then never show. He and his helper got the big root grinder off his trailer and started the nasty, dusty job. He spoke with me before he started going over exactly what we wanted and he made suggestions which we agreed to. Then he did exactly what we agreed to. He used protective boards to avoid sending rock and/or pieces of roots in to our house, fence, or shrubs. They cleaned up the pieces including the rocks that we have in our yard all over. He only asked for the agreed estimated price. Dan and his helper were both friendly and professional. We would certainly recommend his service to others and we would have him do any tree service we might need in the future.

Instead, according to our landlady, dirt was piled up against the deck to where, over time, it would cause serious damage to the deck and unevenly and haphazardly dumped anywhere. Repeated calls, emails and text messages to Maria, who speaks for the company, insisting they fix the problem bore no fruit whatsoever. After initially agreeing to get the crew to the house to fix things immediately, she stopped taking my calls or responding to my electronic messages. Nothing was ever done, and our landlady was forced to hire someone to fix the terrible work Family Landscaping left undone. I paid them a LOT of money to do the work, but they chiseled us. These people are not at all trustworthy, nor do they care about doing a quality job. They deserve less than no stars -- if anything, take whatever stars they have away.

Didn't break down ttl cost lumber pkg, labor cost was only thing detailed. Got vibe they didn't want to communicate or interested in job. This is incredibly important job to me so went with different company.

I sent out a request for a quote to several landscapers. The owner of Green Earth Landscaping sent…read moreme a Yelp message soon after and asked me to contact their office to schedule a walkthrough for a quote. So far so good. When I called the office, I got voicemail and left a message. Almost immediately, I received a text from the same number. To my surprise, the person on the other end immediately told me they weren't interested. (See attached images.) I reached out to the owner again but never heard back. Several hours later, I received a call from one of their employees, but by then I'd already decided on another landscaper. These guys may be the best landscapers in Skagit County, but I'll never know, because apparently they weren't interested in my business.
