I walked in on a Friday morning and was the only person in the small shop, but no more than 2 minutes later, the shop was filled with about six or seven other people, all of whom knew Cleve and the security guard. Luckily I had gotten there first and his guy in the back was already working on my watches. In the meantime, I got to talked him about some of the coins and other wares that he had in his store and listened to the interesting conversations from everybody else coming in. They were only able to replace the batteries in three of my watches, and did so in about 5 minutes for $5 a pop. The other two, he recommended a jewelry repair shop down the road called Ed's. It was a very short experience but a very pleasurable one and something that you rarely see anymore. It's almost like I was on Mayberry Street in. Andy Griffith. Everybody knew each other, everybody was having fun, and it was very welcoming. I would definitely come back here to get batteries replaced and maybe even two trade some stuff in or see what he has on hand.

I came down here and showed them my two watches and was quoted a price and left. Super simple, super quick, super friendly. I said there wasn't a rush because I was going to be out of town for 2 weeks. They said "that's fine, just stop by when you get back in town". I stopped by 2 weeks later and was able to pick up one of my watches, working perfectly. My other watch, they couldn't find. They said that their watch repairman takes the watches home and it must still be there but they weren't sure, but they would give me a call if they found it. This very much annoyed me, especially since I drove about 20 minutes to get there. I left and headed home in about 15 minutes later, I got a call saying they they had found the watch but had just misplaced it and I could come back and get it. I was already at home so I didn't return until the following day. When I went to pick up my watch the following day, they had it ready but told me that they called three of their parts suppliers and nobody had the part they needed, so they weren't able to fix it for me. I completely understand that, it just kind of added to the frustration of having to go back and forth and back and forth. I would come here again, because compared to some other places I've been to, they were very nice. This particular instance was just a bit frustrating and annoying.

Came in here to meet with Nathan on a handful of appraisals that I needed done. Once I got them…read morehome, I noticed one came in at the exact same value that the piece had on a prior appraisal 44 years ago. 44 years ago, same value and the piece became an antique within that time. I got in touch with Nathan to change it and he reasoned 10 ways to Sunday why he thinks it didn't appreciate at all in the last 44 years. Needless to say that's a major disagreement and one that he refuses to change.. Some people just don't like to admit when they are wrong, I guess. Still trying to find ways to make this experience right or a better outcome but it seems every avenue I reach out to has no oversight on this company because he doesn't carry many credentials and even though he carries a GIA certificate, they don't do any oversight either. On top of that, he taxed my appraisals which was an undisclosed charge to me. Another disregard that a jeweler must disclose up front. He basically did everything online or through his computer system so I did not see that until I got home otherwise I would have not paid that. I do know for certain that he had to disclose that if he was going to do it, but he didn't. So right now, I'm just gonna leave this review here and you can decide. whether you want to do business like this, in this manner.
