Don't go anywhere else in Bozeman for ATV or snowmobile rentals! Ashley and Mike (daughter/father team) has it down to a science getting you outfitted and on the mountain in no time. With minimal notice, we landed at the airport at 1130AM and on a brand new snowmobile heading up the mountain by 1pm. We rented a side by side from them in Aug and it was also a wonderful experience! Also, the afternoon was actually the perfect amount of time to spend on the mountain in the winter. The helmets keep you snuggly warm but bring a scarf if your coat doesn't cover your neck. They have great winter gear so no worries if you packed light! You won't meet nicer people!! read more

Buyer beware.... My daughter ordered an SV650 in June of 2023 and paid the $500 security deposit. We were told on the day of the sale that I would get a call the next day stating the status of the order, and that they expected it to be available within a few weeks. However, despite her calling every week for two months, no concrete date was provided, and the contact never once called back. She took a vacation in September, and I took over the contact during that period, during which we finally got a delivery date of the 27nd of November. The bike never arrived and kept getting "delayed". We continued calling and going in in-person, until December at which point we were told that the bike had arrived with damage from shipping. Later, we found out that this was not true as no order was ever placed for the bike. After getting the news of the bike being 'broken', we were told they were going to do a dealer to dealer transfer from Arizona with a delivery date of early January. This never happened, and upon talking to administration, we found out that the order request was never placed. After waiting for over eight months and being lied to about the status of the bike, we asked for the deposit to be returned. I would never recommend working with this company, and my daughter says that if she could have gone back, she would have preferred to go multiple states over and ridden back rather than wait 8+ months for nothing. read more

Last year I bought a brand new Kingquad 400 from Summit Sport. My third ATV bought there. I use it mostly in Mexico and decided that with the flat desert roads I wanted a little more power. After six month owning it I decided I could sell it in Mexico and get most of my money back and buy the 500. I emailed Rich several times asking him what the cost of a new Kingquad 500 would be and it was like pulling teeth. After multiple emails he finally gave me a quote of $6,800. He even seemed annoyed that I asked so many times. Maybe he has better things to do then sell me an ATV. Anyway, seemed really cheap so I wrote back to make sure it was the right price. Since it wasn't that much more than what I could sell my ATV for in Mexico I sold it quick for less than I could have gotten for it. I just wanted to sell it fast. A month later I went to summit sports to pick up the 500 and Rich told me they had to build one and to come back on Monday. I took time off work and went the following Friday just to give them extra time and the ATV was still not built. Rich just looked at me with that whatever look. I decided to deal with another salesperson, John, since Rich didn't seem to have it together and doesn't really seem to care. John apologized and had it built. I tried it and I was ready to buy when he emailed me. "I followed up with Jeff (the owner) on the $6800 price on the King Quad. He informed me that was a deal on a blowout sale on 2013 King Quad that we had carryover on. The best bottom dollar price we could give you on a 2017 Suzuki King Quad 500 would be $7920. To make it street legal it would be another $150 for a grand total price of $8070 OTD. I had Jeff really sharpen his pencil to get the price as low as he could." First of all I never asked for a 2013, I asked for a new one. Second of all, if that was a blow out sale I should have been told. Suddenly the price was over $1,200 of what I was quoted and I had given away my 6 month old ATV in Mexico based on the $6,800 quote. I wrote Jeff (the owner) explaining in detail what had happened and he didn't even bother to reply or apologize. Complete silence from Summit Sports. I called Staack's Motor Sports in Butte and without even "sharpening their pencil" over the phone, they were able to offer me a 2017 Kingquad Power Steering for $7,650 including everything to make it street legal and 4 ratchet straps. I was driving by Butte, sent them a picture of my Driver's license and in 10 minutes I was out the door with the new ATV. You would think that after giving a wrong quote to a customer who has purchased several ATVs in their shop they would try to help, even if they had to break even on the sale and give them a killer deal. Instead they even try to rip you off. Obviously Jeff cares even less than Rich. Before you buy at Summit Sport shop around, these guys don't deserve the business. Further note: When talking with Jeff about the Kingquad 500 he wasn't even aware that in 2016 Suzuki had redesigned the engine and other things. He flat out told me that nothing had changed on the machine. Obviously they don't even keep up with their machines so they can advise their clients correctly. With a genuine concern for their customers and knowledge of their product this is the place to go. Quick story. I ordered a part from summit and when the part arrived I was called, but was out of town. I had a friend of mine head down to pick up the part. When he arrived he was told that the part was already picked up by me. Long story short when I arrived back in town Brendan took great care of me and was so apologetic that he rush delivered a new part and when it arrived didn't even charge me. That's customer service and that service is why when ever I need anything for my six sleds I will be back. read more

Excellent service and very honest staff. Very helpful with trailer and equipment rentals and explained insurance and damage waivers very clearly up front. I unfortunately damaged a 4-wheeler during my rental and the staff was completely honest about the assessed damage, replacement parts needed, and the labor needed to repair the ATV. And the award for the biggest con artist award in the Suzuki community goes to... SUMMIT MOTOR SPORTS! These guys will do or say anything to dip their dirty little hands into your wallet. "Fixing" things that don't need to be fixed too. Brought my GSX-R in there on the thought that it might get good service since it's what they specialize in supposedly. I ended up paying a total of 750 dollars and the problem persisted. Then, on the last visit I made before losing it on them, my bike was returned to me with the right mirror gone. When asked where the hell the glass was, the mechanic replied, "it fell off while idling" what? Do I look like I'm 6 years old? You really expect me to believe that? And even if it did, you think I want to ride around town without a mirror? I was told it would be charged as an hour of labor if I wanted him to put it back on. I to this day believe they dropped by bike and it broke out. The problem kept on even after that. Found out about the Bike Shack. Nate, the owner, heard I had been taking it to Summit and laughed out loud. Told me to take it to him from now on. He ordered a single part for 49 dollars and had it installed for a total of 60 and I was riding the next day. Problem has never happened again. Biggest pieces of garbage in the industry. NEVER EVER EVER TAKE YOUR BIKE HERE. GO TO THE BIKE SHACK. UPDATE* After reading my review online, SMS contacted me and asked me what they could do for me to take the negative rating down. After doing a full service on my bike for free, they apologized and did what they could to make it right. read more

Summit Motor Sports never once apologized and even at first tried to say I didn't even drop off bike, even though they had a work order in their hands... Who drops off a bike for service and doesn't leave it... Answer : NOBODY....just shows how stupid and incompetent these people are, and on top of that list by far is Kash... Probably one of the most worthless and emotionless person I've ever met when it come to costumer service... Due to his and the ownerships negligence to maintain a properly function shop I'm out a bike that can't be replaced... I'm not just a one time costumer I purchased the bike at this location all well, and this whole experience showed me how much they didn't care about me one bit... First thing owner did was offer to sell me a completely different style bike on his lot at the same price it was listed on their internet site... Total scumbag... Who in their right mind would buy a bike from people who just screwed you over, I'm not that dumb... Summit made it quite clear it was an insurance issue for them and I was of little importance...in the end I wouldn't be the least surprised if someone in that shop took the bike home , their bullshit story never did add up.... Brought my Suzuki here for its 1st servicing at 600 miles. After riding it home the bike lost all power and would not start, leaving me stuck. Luckily I was near a friend's place, we looked over the bike apart and found that they had neglected to securely reattach the main body harness and it had jiggled loose. They denied any responsibility and stated "I don't know what you want us to do". Could have been a very dangerous mistake if the bike would have cut out at the wrong time. Disappointed with the lack of accountability with the service staff. Will not be returning again. read more

First off, let me say that I had the highest hopes for this dealership. I took my bike in to have the carb worked on because it had bad decel pop. Not a big thing to fix, it just takes time and an enclosed space. I waited 1.5 weeks on a 3 hour max job. Dealership never even attempted to contact me to keep me updated. I finally decided to call in to see what the status was on it, and they informed me that the fuel screw was now broken off inside the carb. Fuel screw worked fine before their awesome technician worked on it, and now suddenly I have a useless carb/ bike and a ruined summer because I thought, "hey, maybe I'll take it to the pros this time instead of doing it on my own." Big mistake. They ended up charging me $83 to break my carb permanently and wouldn't even consider the notion that maybe $83 wasn't a fair price for something their tech broke that was working absolutely fine before they touched it. This place... wow. I don't even have words to describe them. I now have to replace my carb to the tune of $650 because of their incompetent technicians and poor service. My bike is totally inoperable. It runs 2x worse than it did when I dropped it off. The engine now squeaks as well, but that's a whole other issue and I can't even imagine what else they did to my bike when they took the carb off. Hopefully they didn't drop debris into the intake of the motor, but it wouldn't surprise me. Ladies and gentlemen, please heed my words. This place is not a professional shop, and when they mess your ride up, they will most definitely try to make you take the on the burden of fixing their mistakes. I've never had any big issues with the shops around here, but this place.... wow. ***Avoid it like the plague.*** Your gut instinct is correct. Stay away from this shop. read more

A group of us rented four snowmobiles from Summit recently and we had a great experience. The owner took time to show us all of the bells and whistles of the snowmobiles and recommended some outstanding places to ride. In fact it was the customer service offered by this shop that really set them apart. Moreover, the snowmobiles were brand new and were really fun to ride - we had a great time. I would obviously recommend this company for snowmobile rentals, but given the outstanding service, attention to detail, honesty, and condor of the staff and owner, I would recommend Summit Motor Sports to anyone looking for a motor sports dealer as well. read more

Live an hour out of town looking for parts called and was on the phone for 45 min going over a part need and wanted them to put hands on before I made the drive and the reassured me they had and ya guess what showed up and had no part in stock....so second choice was have them work on the bike and told them I needed the bike back in 4 week and they said there was no way to get it back by then and was probably looking at around 3 to 4 months. Went to REDLINE in butte and received first class treatment, awesome team there and highly recommended. Summit does not care about the pick up class they want the high dollar customer heading to big sky. If you don't want to get ripped off and you want to talk to some people that truly know what they are talking about and care about the customer go to REDLINE in butte, to hell with summit I will never send anybody there or will never spend another dollar in that store. read more
