After successful surgery, we brought her back to our home wearing a long brace on her injured leg and given a pair of crutches for mobility. The following day our guest realized she could also benefit greatly by having a wheelchair, and asked us to help her either rent, or buy one. It was that simple request for a wheelchair that turned into a long and dead-ended search from Aspen all the way to Glenwood Springs where No One--not her doctor, hospital, surgery center, other med offices, nor any local retail vendors, churches--offered wheelchairs to rent or buy. That is, until I received a phone call back from Michelle H., the owner of Oslo Medical Supply in Aspen. Michelle said she totally understood our predicament, which is exactly what inspired this healthcare professional to start a medical equipment business in the Roaring Fork Valley. We used an oxygen concentrator, which basically separates normal air into oxygen and nitrogen and concentrates the oxygen. Although Alpine Air will gladly deliver the unit to you, we decided to go to their location and pick it up. Once there, we received excellent and friendly service. In particular, the tech recommended a longer breathing tube so that the unit (which does make some noise) could be outside of the bedroom with the bedroom door closed to muffle the sound. This worked great. An excellent idea we would not have thought of ourselves. When we were done with the machine, we called for a pickup and within the hour their van arrived. So, we had a great experience with Alpine Air.

I don't know why you would not give me a bag for my two liter drink that I couldn't carry with the 80$ worth of other items you crammed into the other bag, but when you did and the handle was broken- it was not necessary to engage into a argument with me about how the handle was not broken and whatever else you said(not sure you even know). I was nice and more than willing to pay 10 cents for the bag and giving me a another bag with A broke handle and then gaslighting me saying handle isn't broken when it is- was obviously a misunderstanding on your part. I can forgive all that, what I don't understand is the attitude you and your manager got as if I was attacking you personally. I don't know what's I'm with your life or history that you treated me like you did, but I hope that people never treat you like you guys treated me. Hope you guys choose to be better. My heart rate was through the roof, I was nauseous, my head was spinning...I slept with my window open at 3° because I felt like I was suffocating. The check list for Altitude sickness, I checked them all! The gentlemen from Alpine messaged me back as soon as they opened (no one else messaged or called). He sent Becky who made sure I had oxygen delivered, set up and flowing within two hours. I rented for 5 days. They were over $250 less than the highest price and 24 hours faster than anyone else I researched who said they needed a days notice and/or would only rent for two days at a time. The service by Alpine was PRICELESS! I kept canned air with me for during the day while hiking, I do suggest that for anyone dealing with this. We called 911; his oxygen began dipping toward 80. Within 45 minutes, even after library hours, while the victim was temporarily breathing from an EMS oxygen tank, Joe of Alpine Oxygen arrived with another portable oxygen concentrator and taught us how to use it. His timing and patience were exceptional. In addition, when he realized that our car's cigarette lighter fuse that charges the machine while driving was broken, he learned how to install a new fuse in our fussy car so that we could begin a road trip the next day! Joe is amazing, supremely competent and compassionate. I give Alpine Oxygen an A plus, unlike Apria, who are not really available 24/7, and who told us to go to the emergency room of the nearest hospital. Thank you, Joe and Brendan, who's also on it!

Evidently I "disrespected her" by being in my cell phone when I went to pick up a product. I had a family matter I was trying to resolve with a person who was on the other side of the world in Singapore and I had finally reached them at the same time I got 5 min to slip out of work to make it during pharmacy hours. I work the same hours as city market pharmacy and I must take time out of work in order to pick up anything from the pharmacy. Iris was at the counter and asked for my date of birth, which I gave her while still on the phone. She told me I was not allowed to be on the phone. I said I was with a family member and needed to remain on the call. She picked up my product, put it in a basket behind the counter, and walked away without saying another word. She looked back at me, holding my cell phone to my ear with distain. Another loaded walked up and took over for "disrespected Iris". She kindly asked me ti end the conversation informing me- "you're not supposed to be on your cell phone ..." still confused and with hesitation, I ask my family member if I could call them back. I've been trying to reach her for days in Singapore! I hung up the phone, picked up my product, and asked for clarification about cell phone usage. She said it was disrespectful. I looked around the pharmacy for any notation or signage about cell phones being prohibited but I didn't see any. I was grateful for the kindness of the other lady, but Iris... Not sure what her problem is! City market, please clarify? And if there is some rule - post signs and please also help Iris with her customer service! We have a choice to go to other places around town and believe me- mine is going to CVS or Walgreens!

They have an unbelievable sweetness to them that you won't see coming.
