Finally stopped in here after seeing the new restaurant for a few months. I actually had a friend tell me this was one of their favorite sushi places. Needless to say, this place did not disappoint. I ordered the all you can eat for $19.95 and I didn't eat much because I thought I could eat sushi all day. Everything was delicious and fresh. I went alone only because I like trying new restaurants that way, just in case I don't like it, this was not the case. Found this place casually driving around town and I am so glad we went! We got the lunch special ayce for $20 bucks. Includes many appetizers, entrees, and nigiris! Appetizers I give a 5/5. The crab rangoon and seaweed salad is what I recommend. The rangoon was creamy and savory; not on the sweet side. Seaweed salad is perfectly seasoned (light umami and sesami-ey)and paired with a piece of sushi is *chef's kiss*. Entrees I give a 5/5. For the price you pay and the quality is amazing! They do not cheap out on the fish! It is filled and then sealed by a thin layer of rice. For more kick I prefer the spicy over non-spicy rolls. Nigiris were average. The rolls were pretty decent. There were some that were deep fried and some non-deep fried. I recommend the dynamite roll. It was spicy,savory and filled with fish galore. Desert 4/5. I included this because we spent a good amount of time trying different ice cream flavors ( very creamy and the flavor was not too robust/ overwhelming ). My favorite was the green tea ice cream! Also this is a great place to introduce people to sushi because the menu is perfectly organized and easy to read such as labelling cooked vs raw sushi. Service I would give them 4/5 stars. Some orders had to be reminded but it was resolved quickly. read more

The atmosphere is nice but the food and sushi was just ok. The food is too pricey for the quality that you get. The rolls tasted weird, like the flavors didn't go well together. You can find better quality sushi elsewhere. 3 stars because the food was edible and my family thought it was alright. read more

This place is on point. Going for lunch is the best deal with all you can eat sushi that is fresh and made to order. We can once on a Sunday during lunch time but they were charging the dinner prices so we just ordered from the menu and saved a little than paying the full dinner price. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have robots waiting tables and bringing out food. I am sure we will be back when in the mood for filling up on sushi. read more

Is it possible to rate 0 stars? Our server was good and kind. The reason though for the poor rating was the food. I'm not sure what went wrong, a couple years back the food was actually good but today?... Today was the literally the utmost disappointed i have ever been at a meal. I I wanted to wait until I had been there twice to leave a thorough review. First it's a nice restaurant comfortable seating and decor is pretty. Second make sure you call ahead to see if they are on a wait. Third, make sure you are hungry and ready for the all you can eat. Everything is delicious, and fresh my favorite sushi roll is the Houston roll. Save room for the fried Oreos and fried Twinkies. I left off one star because service is OK it's not the best it's not the worst but you will wait a little while in between what you ordered and how long it takes to come out so my advice is ordered several things at one time, so are you constantly have something to eat at the table read more

Drove by and was interested in the new restaurant off of 290. We are sushi lovers and we're thrilled by the $31 all you can eat price point. The rolls were similar to grocery store rolls. I don't say that to be ugly, there was a prepackaged nature to it. The Shumai was dough only, no filling. I asked for a coke and was given a Pepsi without warning. Which interestingly enough reminded me that I haven't been to Taco Bell in a decade. We ordered a few rolls which should have taken a few minutes to make but we're on our table in less than 60 seconds. The avocado was tough and not ripe. Look, this was a one time novelty experience and I'm glad we did it. But if you're looking for top quality sushi in Houston go to Kawa sushi or Aka sushi. read more

The spider roll was pretty good as the crab was kind of plump. The tempura batter was lukewarm, but overall it was one of our favorite rolls. I expected the dynamite roll to have the usual salty mayo flavor, but this one didn't really have that. The sauce on the eel nigiri overwhelmed the eel, which was disappointing. It was kind of rubbery too. The tamago nigiri was sweet and thin. The rice for the nigiri is kind of dry but that's better than raw and mushy rice. The yellowtail, salmon and white tuna slices look really plump and moist, but I didn't really like the flavors. The yellowtail was a little too watery, the salmon very buttery and the white tuna kind of vinegary. The mackerel and octopus were okay. The baby octopus skewers were coated with a really salty sauce but had good texture. It just needed to be hot or at least warm. The seaweed salad was lukewarm, which made me think it needed to be refrigerated. It didn't have the usual sweet flavor to it. I really didn't like it, which is disappointing as I usually like most seaweed salads. The Yakitori (chicken skewers) were coated with a semi-sweet sauce. I was pretty excited as it was one of the first dishes that came out hot. The meat was tender, but I think it needed to be cooked a little longer as the meat looked a little too pink for me in certain areas. The lobster roll was okay. The crunchy bits in the spicy tuna topping helped the flavor of the roll a lot as it was a lot of spicy tuna. The lobster salad part didn't really taste dry or like too much mayo. We tried to order the zebra roll, but the happy roll (below on the menu) got ordered instead. It was a normal tasting roll to try out. The rice in the shrimp fried rice was well cooked, coated in oil and not mushy. It kind of reminded me of Benihana's chicken fried rice. The flavor was a little unevenly spread out as I would get a bite of lots of flavor then nothing in the next. The buffet portion size was just enough. Another buffet would serve double that and expect you to eat it all. The crab Rangoon was okay. There's a lot of cream cheese, but I thought the wrapper was undercooked for my taste as it was more oil than eggy wonton flavor. The fried Oreos had a thin batter coating and a super hot and creamy interior. They look small, but the flavor was outstanding. The green tea and red bean ice cream scoops tasted okay. I expected a more bitter matcha flavor, but it was sweet. The interior is pretty cute. There are nice touches throughout. The cute daruma rug in the entry way made us smile. There's a cute stone pig fountain on the way to the restrooms. The service staff is nice and welcoming. Overall, most of the dishes tasted fine though I think the temperature of a lot of the foods need to be adjusted before being served. read more

Overall a very good meal. My favorites were the California rolls eel sushi, and the masago sushi. The California eel was packed with spicy mayo (as it should be) and had a crunch to it. The eel, I've never had eel before, and let's just say this was a nice introduction. The meat had a kinda slimy but nice and soft texture to it and a strong seafood flavor. The masago spread in your mouth when you bit into it which was great. I also liked the tempura Oreo desert. The breading around the Oreo had a donut hole feel to it. Maybe it's an off day for them but the fish are not fresh at all. Especially for the sashimi, all seems to be putting in the room temperature for a while.
