This is my favorite neighborhood cocktail bar. I've hung out different days of the week and the vibe is always wonderful. The bartenders are nice and the price point for cocktails are on so good! They have weekly food specials like Monday steak night. Friday's and Saturday's are lively. Dress code is strict -- very classy! Overall it is a great place to start your night or end your night! Great food and great atmosphere! I have had pretty much everything on the menu and love it all. I see some guy gave a 1- star review and said the food was no good. I think he might have the wrong place. He also said it's a good place to pick up people? That is crazy. I bring my wife, mom and daughter in there. This is definitely not a "pick up" place. This is your friendly l, neighborhood bar located in the Champions Forest area. Anyways......I have always had a good time. Met many cool people there ( men and women ). We had an amazing first experience here!! We had to celebrate my birthday a week later because I was sick. I wanted to come here. They made me feel like a princess and felt very spoiled for my birthday! We tried so many foods. The steak bites and hummus were ridiculously delicious!! This is officially my favorite spot! Happy hour, date night, girls night, I've had a bachelorette party here and work event. I love this place. Mirage 38 is a phenomenal bar. Great staff, ownership, food and drinks. I've yet to find a bar in the Champions area with a better atmosphere or nicer people. They have live music on certain nights, events, and can host parties. Whomever gave a one star review in reference to food I don't know what you prefer to eat but it's apparent you don't appreciate quality. Wish I could've give a higher score here as the owner is lovely, but ended up having a lackluster time due to a flippant assistant manager and poor ambiance. I had a table of 6 older women and 1 gentlemen come in with me (all having very sensitive hearing.) It was a Friday night, and for 80% of the time we were there we were the only table in the restaurant. The issue arose when we asked if there was anyway the music could be turned down just a tad as it was right above us and blaring over the table so loud we could hardly conversation with one another. We were shrugged off and the assistant manager we were dealing with didnt seem to care one bit that it was making us uncomfortable. good food, good drinks, terrible ambiance. read more

They always have little "reserved" signs posted at seats around the bar but no one is in the actual seats. Service is unwelcoming but efficient. QR code menu has some terrible food photography but the food itself is actually quite good. Solid wine list. 1990s era cocktail list- retro I guess. The bar seating is plastic outdoor patio chairs. Decor feels like you're in a hotel bar. We came several times and were unable to sit at the bar because it was filled with "reserved" signs (but no one in the seats) so we eventually just gave up on this place entirely. I know they call themselves a "speakeasy," but you'll have no trouble finding it in the middle of a strip shopping center with a giant neon martini sign and a large front patio. read more

Shane, Darren and Kevin treat us like family. Feels like Cheers, I think they even have our names in "our bar stools"? "Everyone knows your name..."! The food is also great and service is top notch every time. Consistency is what makes any business great. These guys have that piece down too. We have been going here monthly since they opened. The bartenders, servers, and food are spot on! We have brought friends and neighbors in as well to help generate business. Generally the owner has been very friendly, however tonight as we were walking up to the entrance the owner was as well. He looked directly at us, continued thru the door and let the door shut in front of me. Completely rude and uncalled for whether he recognized us or not! Wouldn't you want your patrons to feel welcome? Apparently not as everyone at the bar was greeted but us. Will be the last time we come in! read more

Why 3 stars? Because it was a mixed bag…read more --- --- --- 2-3 years earlier, my wife and I visited Mia Bella in Houston and had an absolutely unbelievable experience. The food was stellar across the board and the service was top 5 of our entire lives. Shortly after this visit, we found out that they also had a location in the Willowbrook area, which is a lot closer to us. And my wife's parents love Italian food, so we were hoping to go as a group in the very near future. Well fast forward from 2023, all the way to 2026, and we finally made this happen. I was super excited to show off the place that I'd talked up for nearly 3 years. Unfortunately, this was nowhere near that experience. Overall, we still enjoyed it to a degree, but it was certainly not worth the 40-45 minute commute for us, and even longer for my in-laws. I went back to refresh my memory and read my original review. We ordered three things that totally blew our minds: chicken parm, seafood lasagna and the prosciutto and mozzarella pizza. So that's what we ordered here. I'll start off with the biggest miss: the chicken parm. This is what I said about it from my first visit: "This was explained as not a typical chicken parm dish, as the chicken breast is stuffed with a bunch of things. And I think it's good for people to know that so they aren't given something so far different from way they expect, but I am here to tell you that this is BETTER than classic chicken parm. Sometimes chicken can dry out, but this stuffed chicken breast was anything but dry. Every bite was just ideal. Again, don't come here without ordering this." Here, it was the polar opposite. Dry and bland. The pasta seemed like it had been boiled and that was it. There was no flavor to it. I don't think I can give this anything beyond 2-stars, and that might be generous. The pizza was extremely basic cheese pizza that just happened to have prosciutto on top. This sounds over the top, but this might as well have been Chuck E. Cheese pizza other than the prosciutto. Again, I'll be generous and offer 3-stars. The saving grace is that the seafood lasagna was awesome. An easy 5-stars on this one - no complaints at all. If you simply come here, enjoy the great bread they bring out, and order the seafood lasagna, you'll have a great experience. I hate to give such a negative review, especially for a place I was so pumped to visit, but it was a pretty night and day experience from the other location.

Food was exquisite and portions were generous, cooked to perfection. The churros with chocolate and the complimentary photos for the birthday girls was the cherry on top. Had an extra unauthorized charge on my account AFTER closing out my tab. Left the bar Saturday…read more12/13 around 10:30pm- my total was $41and I left a $10 tip. Woke up next day and seen there was a seperate $71 charge In my account. I tried contacting the bar was unable to get ahold of anyone. The next day seen that the unauthorized charge went from $71 to $91. had to drive all the way back to Headliners to speak with manager. The bartender stated manager was not in and to leave my contact information and they would call me and I have not heard from them. If I closed out my tab at $51 And left the bar there should have been NO more charges to my card at all. Hoping to get this resolved asap.

While I didn't voice my opinion at the time, I was concerned that the takeout experience would put a damper on the meal. I was wrong. The mango salad is now a new favorite of mine, and a dish I strongly suggest ordering. The flavors are bright, and acidic, sweet, yet savory. The dish hits all of the right notes. My husband ordered the vermicelli. It was his first experience with vermicelli and to my surprise he tackled most of the dish without adding the accompanying sauce. My salmon was equally satisfying. While we were sad to see the former business go, we're so happy to find Le Emperor a fitting replacement. We will be back!

I didn't have time for a large pho so I asked for a small, which in my defense most restaurants have. Welp, not this one. Apparently, it's only large or Kids portion. Needless to say, my long anticipated dinner was unsatisfactory. The only thing that was as good as I remembered, the creme brûlée!! The service as always is so pleasant, they are always so friendly and kind. The environment as always quiet and welcoming with a touch of class.
