For a $5/table cork fee, you can bring your own alcoholic beverage(s) of choice. They will happily open bottles and provide chill buckets if needed. The food - it can be hard to define the difference between great sushi and exceptional sushi, you just need to come experience it yourself. The ingredients are obviously a priority and the chefs are masters at what they do. Don't skip the Sake Toro on the Chef Specialty Nigiri Sushi pieces. For me, it's the best bite in the house. The service - Casual and friendly. It's incredible to be able to have such high quality sushi in a comfortable setting. They can sometimes get busy during Happy Hour, but it's worth the wait if there is one. Most people sit in the booths are at the tables, but I find most of the fun is right up at the bar talking with Dan. Sometimes Joe is there if he isn't off on an adventure. Service is quick and responsive. If there's something that you're craving and you can describe it the sushi chefs at the bar will try to re-create it for you. My sister wanted sushi because she was down and this place had good reviews and less than 10 minutes from our place. I cannot believe we have never been here but we sure will be back. I would call this a hidden gem in Cypress. The young wait staff is super friendly and gives you the time to make a decision along with suggestions. I wanted to give this place 5 starts just because of the sushi but I just can't. Service played a role in the rating. We came on a Wednesday after Happy Hour, and it actually didn't seem too packed. Never coming here before we didn't know it was self seating--so just a heads up have a seat somewhere. A girl came to tell us and we just sat down. The table was dirty...thankfully we had some lysol wipes. After about 10-15 mins finally a server came to us and took our order. We order 4 rolls, I'll get to the food later. After ordering, it took them 45 mins to bring out two rolls. Both were served with no ginger or wasabi, I'm not sure if that's something you have to request, but that's usually pretty standard practice in a sushi place. We waited another 15 mins for the next two (my friend's food) to come out before my friend and I could start eating...So in total we had waited an hour, which for a Wednesday and not too packed I thought was crazy. We saw orders going and coming, most were for take out, so maybe next time we just need to order to go...which brings me to the food. I wanna say it was worth the wait...but not an hour wait. Don't get me wrong, it was great sushi, and I recommend trying, just not eating at the actual restaurant. The rolls I got: Louisiana- if you like spicy, get this! It was so good. More spicy than I've ever had a Louisiana roll. Tiger Eye- put together nicely, smoked salmon on point. Both rolls were good sizes and well constructed. The only negative is that the individual sushi rolls were too big . This resulted in a less flavorful experience per bite because I had to eat half of the sushi at a time. The price was okay- not the cheapest but fair priced- we did not come during happy hour. I did knock it down to 4 stars due to the service. The service was slow and they kept missing or messing up rolls. I come here quite a bit since it's local. Great food and service on a normal day. Last time I went at night (before Panda left) it was super packed and wait time was almost an hour for food or seating given the small location. I wouldn't say it's the best I've had but the food is definitely great. I love their Thai me up spicy rolls since I'm a big spice eater and it's perfect with the high level of spice in it. It's by no means a Neo handroll or Omakase experience but the food here is great and I'm glad to have a local go to sushi bar in the area. Keep it up! read more

This little hide away gem is now my #1 goto place for some knockdown good sushi. Been in this place and believe me I have try many many others sushi place. This is still my number one goto sushi place. I don't know should I even post this review since they are already pack most of the weekend night. So if you want to get some good sushi try to get there early and they have a thing called happy hours price so makes it that much better. Just because it said happy hours price does not mean the quality is any less. It is just a better bargain for the customer to try several pieces without breaking the bank. They don't sell liquor as yet. But you sure can bring your own favorite beverage and they have a setup for you. This was quite possibly one of the best plates of sushi that I've ever had! I came in from out of town, staying at the Courtyard Marriot around the corner. It was getting late and I was hungry, so I decided to go get some sushi and just go back and hang out at hotel. I walked into Edojin, the atmosphere was alive...there was fun music playing loudly, but not obnoxious. The sushi chefs were laughing and conversing with customers. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly the moment I walked in the door. I almost immediately decided I needed to go ahead and stay and be a part of such a fun place and atmosphere. I sat at the sushi bar and ordered my Thai Me Up, Spicy Lady, California and Tuna lover rolls. As I waited one of the chefs offered me a couple slices of shashimi while I waited, it was fresh and delicious. They came out in a timely manner with my order...and man o man was it tasty!! As I said, quite possibly the best sushi over ever had, and I've had a lot from a few places in several states!! my family and i have been going to this restaurant for several years with what i would say is a great family restaurant . Service, Food etc. top notch. however, our last visit, Oct31st. was truly an eye opener . The food and service was Good, but the portions size of the Texas roll has shrunken beyond belief. Normally i order the chefs flight, and a Texas roll, which is more than enough food. this time was the first time i left hungry. 6 round circles on a small plate was a big surprise and not a good one.
