I am not impressed with the care and feel that they will continue to add thousands of dollars to his care which at this point is at $17k. An update to my review of this vet and his clinic. My dog died at 10, I am so grateful for him lasting that long but it is my strong opinion, and the opinion of the vet that tried to correct this botched surgery, that this fiasco shortened his life. He struggled so much to stay mobile, thankfully he was small and I could carry him. With that being said a chihuahuas life span is 12-15 years. 0/10 recommend. Responsible for my dogs suffering and death. This surgeon is responsible for my dogs death. He wrongly diagnosed my dogs herniated disc with a compression fracture and paralyzed my dog after a traumatic surgery. This vet sold me a story that my dog, who wasn't paralyzed before surgery, was improving because "she isn't in pain anymore" (which was only because he paralyzed her so she couldn't feel anything). What an up sell!! He never acknowledged how my dog was significantly worse after being in his care. We sent him a message in the end that we decided to help our dog pass to relieve her of suffering and he never even responded. Jerk. He knew he messed up and then he washed his hands of us once we paid him 6k for the surgery that paralyzed our sweet girl. He's a Businessman at best but he has questionable diagnostic ability and clearly sub par surgical skills. read more

Dr Silverman performed two knee surgeries on our Chihuahua, Betsy. He and his staff are professional and very caring. I would not hesitate to have him perform any surgery needed on any of our other dogs. read more

Very disappointed. Said he had a scope small enough to see my cats sinuses at the consult and then said he wasn't able to get the scope in to see well after the procedure. In the end, no more information than we had before at a very high price. I wanted answers for the special visit and pricing of the scoping procedure. In addition, I was scolded for going into the office by the doctor himself...kind of rude. I knocked first and thought I heard someone say to come in. My mistake, but no need for the doctor to be so aggressive and rude in my opinion. All in all, this place doesn't seem to be worth the price for a consult or care. read more

The veterinarian and vet techs are knowledgeable and friendly, but this practice has EXTREMELY poor time management. Even when I have appointments right when they open at 8AM I wait at least an hour in my car just to be spoken to. Multiple appointments are scheduled for the same hour, but the vet can not seem them all in the time allotted so from the very beginning of the day they're already behind an hour. I would not recommend this practice. read more

We recently made the very difficult decision to have the front leg of our 9 year old rescue Golden Retriever amputated due to cancer. In addition to being a skilled surgeon, Dr. Silverman was very attentive to our concerns and needs, and spent a lot of time explaining the procedure and recovery period to us. He was patient, and we never felt rushed. He was also available by phone when we had questions. His staff was wonderful, and did their best to reassure us that our dog would be well cared for, given excellent care. We were comforted in knowing that there was a staff member present 24 hours a day, unlike many other veterinarian offices. Thank you for providing excellent care for our sweet girl. read more

My dog had a pretty extensive procedure done and he is a very large dog so I had a lot of concerns going in to his surgery. The staff made me so comfortable in the few days leading up to and even still after with all of his follow ups. He is doing great and I'm so excited to have my dog back to being happy and healthy. The staff kept me in the loop during his 3 day stay and called me asap after his surgery to give me all the details. We have one more follow up planned and I'm looking forward to going back, my dog loves it there. read more

I was referred to Dr. Silverman by my dog's vet and I'm glad I made the appointment. My dog required surgery for a fractured pelvis (4 fractures). I was impressed of how thorough and patient Dr. Silverman was in explaining my dog's condition. Dr. Silverman was honest in explaining that 2 out of the 4 fractures would require surgery. The communication was exceptional as Dr. Silverman would call everyday to give me updates. What was more amazing was that he did not give up on my dog. Dr. Silverman and his staff are the best. The love they have for animals is awesome. I am grateful and blessed to have been referred to Dr. Silverman. The love and care from Dr. Silverman and staff saved my dog. My dog's fractures healed and he is now a happy dog. My dog is walking, running, and being active again. read more

While exploring our dog's potential surgery, Dr. Silverman told us in detail what we might expect in terms of anticipated outcome, length of recovery, post-op care, length of hospitalization. Dr. Silverman was highly recommended when my vet couldn't remove my dog Amber's spleen. Unable to risk "allowing her to bleed out on the table," I had my vet close her up and she then called in Dr. Silverman immediately. Compassionate, experienced, and highly skilled, he removed Amber's spleen where he found a grapefruit-sized mass at the head; then removed a metasasized mass on her liver; and finally, 4 more masses to be biopsied. It was a miracle, Amber's biopsies were ALL benign and non-infectious. But thanks to Dr. Silverman, the operation was SUCCESSFUL! I'm forever grateful to him, his staff- their excellent aftercare of Amber. A 5-STAR Rating, no question! read more

I recently spoke to Lisa about setting up a procedure for the next day. Not knowing this Vet at all, I took the referral from my current Dr. I was so taken-aback by the sassy, just plain disrespectful conversation I got from Lisa, that I was left with a sinking feeling. I decided I would check them out on Yelp. Good thing I did!!!! I read from excellent to hellish experiences with Dr. Silverman. I don't know about any of you, but if I see ONLY ONE horrible review, and I mean HORRIBLE, that's enough for me; my appointment was cancelled!!! The love and devotion I have for my pets are greater than anything I have. It would have killed me to go through what these families have gone through! Loosing lot's and lot's of money is bad enough, but NOT being able to prosecute this Dr for his professional negligence, is unbelievable! But, at the end of the day, bringing your beloved pet home so much worse than when you dropped him/her off is heart breaking and tragic! I thank all of you who took the time to share your stories. Remember this...God will not leave the innocent forsaken. Whatever Dr. Silverman has done to bring harm and not good will take him down eventually. You all will be in my prayers. P.S.
