Had Joe come out the first week of May 2024 and gave a quote for a new chain link fence. Gave him a deposit of $1,300 and still battling with him to get the fence installed as of November 2024. He has told me he will be out multiple times and no show. He comes up with so many excuses that he doesn't have a crew or he order the wrong parts or because of the weather. Do not hire SunCoast Fence to do any work for you because you will regret it. So now legal action will be taken. read more

We had Sun Coast Fence do a wood fence the front of our house which we were happy with. We then contacted Joe for a quote for chain link fence on the rear and side of our property on March 5th, 2024. We waited until the end of the month for an update. Told maybe next week, weather permitting. On April 4, 2024 that they planned on coming but the rain set them back. Was then told it should be Monday morning (4-8-24). Then it became Wednesday morning (4-10-24), then it became another couple of days out, then there was a problem with employees showing up for work. On 4-15-24 it would be another couple of days because of Covid with the employees. Then on 4-18-24 still waiting on material. On Wednesday (4-24-24) they were bringing out the windscreen that we requested on Thursday (4-25-24) and Joe the owner would be here Friday (4-26-24) but screen nor Owner ever showed up. On Monday (4-29-24) they only had one (1) crew and promised to have the job done by Wednesday (5-1-24). Again, no one showed up and no contact from the company. On Wednesday (5-8-24) that they would be here Friday morning (5-10-24). Then on Tuesday (5-28-24) we were told Friday (5-30-24) morning for sure or maybe sooner. Monday (6-3-24) they have all new crew that neglected to show up for work. Monday (6-10-24) they will definitely be there to no avail again. On Monday (6-17-24) I conveyed to them that we have been more than fair with the time frame but it's getting totally ridiculous at this point. And the response was we will have you done very shortly. On Monday (6-24-24) that they would be here in the next couple of days just behind with the rain. Tuesday (6-25-24) we were told they would be here on Wednesday (6-26-24) and no one showed up nor contacted us. read more

Recommended by a friend, I talked to Sun Coast Fence about repairing my hurricane damaged fence. Joe came by and gave me a written quote for the job and I approved it. The guys did the work but I wasn't satisfied. Not all the work was completed and some wasn't completed properly. I talked to Joe several times and he said he fix it, but after several months, it still hasn't been fixed. So I fixed some of it myself and the rest, well .... This business has moved to:5257 S. Ridgewood Ave. Port Orange. Have 2 separate experiences: the 1st was for 85' of treated wooden fencing. Gave them $1000. deposit on 6/2/21. TEN MONTHS later the fence was installed, HOWEVER the 4"X4"s were NOT secured in cement, which is recommended online, so the fence does move when the wind blows! 2nd experience: 41' of white vinyl fencing. Gave $600 deposit 10/5/22. Fence was installed 3/6/23. Was told about 3% charge for using credit card. THEN they added $495. to "straighten" the 85' fence because of it blowing in the wind. I NEVER authorized this OR requested it! When I contacted them they said it was written on the contract. IT WAS NOT! I emailed them a screenshot of my contract. They canceled my initial payment & recharged the card $500. LESS!!! It is MANDATORY that U must stay on top of ALL transactions, seems as though once they have a deposit they take their time getting the job done! read more

I have a beautiful 5 * piece of fence HOWEVER, it took 10 months. Great job but service awful. I called numerous times and always - give us a couple of weeks. HA. 10 months is NOT reasonable read more

Got an estimate (guy was late and had an "I don't want to be here" attitude, which should've tipped me off) and was told 3-6 weeks. Paid 1/3rd down (700 bucks) Hit the 3 weeks and called them for an update. Was told another 1-2 weeks. Called after that 2 weeks and was again told another 1-2 weeks. Hit week 6 and we called and we're told "they have to check to see if stock came in and would be end of that week or end of next week". That following Monday instead of calling, we went in in person and conveniently, the stock had just so happened to come in that morning (according to them) and they said they'd be there that Wed to do the fence. Wed morning my wife calls and is told "they're just unloading stock now (which supposedly came in the prior Monday) and they'd be to house in an hour or two. 3 hours later, still not there so I called and AGAIN got the "they're unloading stock and waiting on something that hadn't come in yet". At this point I called the girl out because they had literally told us twice (to appease us) that the stock was in and its almost 8 weeks on a 3-6 week quote and then old man Joe got on phone accusing me of "yelling at a girl". Told him just to give me my money back and he got even more passed and said come get it. Went in and they had all their reinforcements in, which was pretty obvious. Had everyone arriving as I showed up. Told them I was there for my money and Old Joe came storming out from behind desk and started screaming at me and him and his son Joe were trying to intimidate me me, asking if I thought I was a "tough guy" and even begging me to hit them. Old man Joe actually took a fighting stance with me. Asked them their names to report them and that really set them off (as if they weren't already acting like psychos) and Old Joe told me his name as he got all up in my face and screamed "get out of my fuc*ing store!" and son Joe said "I don't have to tell you sh*t". Then they told me to call the cops if I wanted my money back soap I walked out to do that, old Joe started calling me gay. Called cops and they tried to downplay it to officer by changing quote to 6-8 weeks trying to make me look like I just wanted to cancel and they weren't weeks behind. Told the officer they had to "do the numbers" before refund me money. Still have yet to see a dime of my money so will probably end up having to take legal action. Was very bizarre to see adults, not to mention business owners, acting so absolutely nuts. Was a bouncer for many years and they reminded me of idiots that get drunk, snap and try to fight everybody. Funny thing is that after all this they had the balls to tell the cop if I still wanted them to do the fence, they couldn't do it till the following Tuesday (may 31). Like, seriously?
