Live almost 3 hours away. Paid for two tires about 2 weeks ago. Received text 9/2/25 that they were in. Took motorcycle in on trailer to have installed. Saw two tires there but one was not the correct one. Salesman went looking for it and stated one tire came in 8/31 and the other 9/2/25 when the other worker stated he texted me. The tire wasn't located and I stated they probably sold it to someone else. Clearly the business's mistake. Salesman said he would order the correct tire and have it next week. I asked if the business was willing to install the tires without cost because it was their error and we drove a long way expecting two new tires. A young manager came out and said the best they could do is charge $10 less than regular cost of installation at $120 per tire and waive some other fee. Then he blamed the error on the shipment when two workers clearly verified that both tires arrived to the business. I called him out about that lie. He then said he can't waive the installation fee because it would come out of the mechanic's pockets. I stated why would he do that to his mechanic when clearly it was the business's mistake not the mechanic. If anyone should eat the cost, it would be him as the manager; he makes more than the employees and he should try to make things right. I also told him he needs to take accountability and own that they made a mistake. He never took responsibility for their mistake. Very disappointed; should've bought tires from Cortez, CO instead. You might want to think twice before going to this place. read more

Just dont buy or do any business with these ppl. If I can give a zero star I would have. At first they very nice, helpful and cooperative. I talked to one of their sales reps over phone to make a purchase over-phone and have bike shipped to me. Everything went fine, they processed payment and told me I can start arranging shipping on my own. After talking to them about best pickup date I scheduled a pickup and paid extra just for faster processing. However on day of pickup and as the carrier was on the way, one of their managers called me saying they wont allowing the shipping. Since their sales agent shouldn't have sold me the bike with a card overphone and that they will cancel the whole transaction. I offered to pay by check or other methods of payment and still they said no, unfortunately i had already paid the carrier a nonrefundable deposit of $195 and when I asked to be reimbursed for this fee since the cancellation was from their end, they refused completely and become very rude and disrespectful. They admitted that their employee made a mistake and that they will train them better but still they won't respect that as a customer I shouldn't be responsible for their mistakes. On top of all that as I asked for a refund from their manager he said we will process a refund within next few days, I told him can you plz process it now so I can use the funds to buy from elsewhere, he became very disrespectful and said we will refund when we can. I paid instantly the full amount when I was asked to pay but they were holding onto my money and refund at their own pace even tho the cancellation was their request to begin with. read more

This is going to be two sided. I bought a vintage bike and being I was moving and didn't have a shop yet, I was told these people did a decent job. The bike is rare and I was willing to spend whatever it took to bring it back to life. We agreed the bike would be street worthy when finished. They did the carbs. and wiring harness for a VERY reasonable price. I received a call and was told bike was finished, I arrived and was told the bike was street worthy and they quickly loaded it into my truck. He mentioned my side stand was weak and sent me on my way (two spot welds and it's good as new). Well.. the side stand fell off, throwing me to the ground with a 400lb. bike on me, but that was after the bike almost killed me and my wife unloading the bike from the truck. Seems the master cylinder was empty (not low, but actually empty), so no brakes (the rear is hand adjustable and easy to reach). The work they actually did was great, but they left easy repairs unfinished and life threatening. I would have gladly paid to have the bike street worthy, plus the bike was absolutely filthy. I will never do business with them again. Fair price does not take the place of integrity and the safety of your customer. We are in our 60's and took several days to recover from this debacle. We have three motorcycles and were looking to buy a side by side. They just lost a valuable customer. read more

I thought I had finished this when I was there. They replaced my front tire, did it in a prompt manner, asked me about any issues, said the tire pressure light was on. But since the bike had been converted to a trike, the tire pressure monitoring system does not work and the light stays on. The only reason there is not 5 stars is I ordered a cover for my trike (Tue) and was told it would be in Fri. They would call me. No call for 10 days, so I ordered one from Amazon and had it in 2 days. They called at the end of the month (as I was readying to leave - we live in a toy hauler RV). I told them I had not heard from them so bought one on line. read more

THEY FORGOT TO TORQUE MY AXLE NUT, AND I ALMOST CRASHED!!! On Tues. 9/12/17 I had the Service Dept. at Sun Country Powersports (Farmington, NM) mount new tires onto my 2016 Honda CRF250L motorcycle. After they finished, I loaded my motorcycle back onto it's ramp on the back of my motorhome, and traveled to nearby Navaho Lake State Park to camp. I decided to take a motorcycle ride up to a small town called Ignacio, ~ 28 miles to my north up Hwy 511 from Navaho Lake. The road was very bumpy and curvy, and is surrounded by deep canyons and tall cliffs. I kept my speeds around 40 mph. SUDDENLY, at the ~ 19 mile mark (just before the Ute Reservation sign) I felt a violent side-to-side wobble of the back wheel. I immediately applied my brakes and pulled safely off the road. When I examined the rear wheel, I was SHOCKED to see: 1) that my rear axle was sticking out ~ 3 inches on the left side of the wheel, 2) the axle-nut on the right side was completely missing, 3) the remaining axle on the right side appeared to only have ~ 1/4 inch of contact remaining on the right side support (swing arm). In addition, 4) the chain had several inches of up and down play, 5) the rear tire (where the tire-rubber meets the left side of the rim) appeared frayed, and 6) the rear wheel was severely out of alignment. I immediately took numerous pictures with both my phone and camera, and I sent many home to my family and friends. I called the dealership, and they sent a truck to pick me up and return me to the Service Dept. After completing their work, they called me back so that I could personally check the torque numbers on both the front and rear axles, and they assured me that everything was inspected for damage (i.e., the axle, wheel, spokes, rim, tire, front sprocket, wheel sprocket, etc.) and that everything was in perfect condition. I wrote a letter to the owner of Sun Country to let him know how close I came to being killed or severely injured, all because someone in his Service Dept. forgot to torque down AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AXLE NUT!! The owner wrote me back stating that the Service Department is in the process of putting procedures in place to track torque specs on every job, and that they are also going to include a statement on the Service Ticket reminding customers to check axle nuts after tire service. I responded back to the owner, stating that I was quite shocked to read that these procedures weren't already in place from day one!!! read more

I have long wanted to join the motorcycle world and have recently decided to take the plunge. I have poked around at different places to see what is out there and still didn't have a clue what I wanted. Yesterday I went to Sun Country Powersports and I'm so glad I did. Dominic and Dave were very patient and helpful in explaining the different bikes and safety equipment to me. Dominic seemed genuinely concerned about safety and making sure I got the right bike for me. He encouraged me to just get the helmet and gloves yesterday and to come back and pick out a bike after I take the rider safety course. This shows me he cares about his customers and is not just out to make a quick buck. Thank you Dominic and Dave. I am so looking forward to getting my first motorcycle from Sun Country Powersports. read more
