We rented tubes, did about a 1.5 hour float. Only 28 bucks per person, you get a tube, they take you to the drop in area. They provide a number to call when you are almost about to finish and pick you up. It was a nice float, great scenery, a small rapids area that was fun. A great way to beat the heat!

So fun! Our family of 5 (with 3 teens) did the Big Eddy Thriller tour and had a blast! We only had one full day in Bend, so it was a perfect amount of time for us. (In the future we'd love to do a longer one). Everyone working there was wonderful, and our tour guide Evan was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend!

We used Sun Country Tours for both white water rafting and river tubing, and had a great experience with both! Everything was easy to arrange, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Our white water rafting guide, Tommy, was chill, knowledgeable, and friendly. The trip was absolutely amazing, and Tommy even let us have a little extra fun by letting me ride the front of the raft like a bull at a rodeo. I lasted all of three seconds, but what an amazing three seconds they were . The river tubing was also a great experience. The location was convenient, and the shuttle made it easy to get from the last park back to our car without having to worry about transportation logistics. We'll definitely be back for both experiences--and next time, we're doing the full-day white water rafting trip!

    The dunk!

Sent the family off on the Big Eddy rafting trip - 3 adults and a 13, 9 and 6 year old. They had a fantastic time. Raft guide Owen really connected with the kids and did a great job. Since it the first time for the kids they came back excited and briefly terrified. We stayed on the trail to watch them run the actual Big Eddy rapids so it was fun for me to take a few photos as well. Highly recommend the folks at Sun Country Tours - a first class organization.

We did the Big Eddy Thriller for the first time this last weekend and it was AMAZING! I brought my 7-year-old son & parents... ALL loved it and cannot wait to go again. A huge thank you and shoutout to Binzley our epic guide. He made the trip safe, FUN, educational, and exciting. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, especially for our first time. Safe to say we will definitely be booking another adventure with Sun Country Tours!

It was a great time. Well organized and helpful company. Next time in Bend will surely use them again.

    So fun but intense!

We were in town and discovered that they had white water rafting. We were fortunately able to book a last-minute tour on Big Eddy Thriller, and it did not disappoint! We had a full raft of 7, and it was a lot of fun! This was my second time white water rafting. The first time I went rafting was mostly class 2 and 3 rapids, and I wanted something more exciting. The rapids on Big Eddy were 3+ that day, which were sufficiently thrilling for me. Our guide Binzley explained everything very clearly, especially the safety information, which I much appreciated. He also very clearly communicated commands through the rapids. Our shuttle driver Scott was also very friendly. The only area for improvement was that I wish we could book online same day rather than having to call, but the process was fairly simple and easy. I also wish I wore proper water shoes because my hiking boots were soaked by the end. While you can wear a swimsuit, I was advised to keep my outdoor shirt and hiking shorts on. While I don't know the alternative, I think it was a good decision. I (and everyone else in our raft) did get very wet! Also, they are very open that you can have one person in your group buy the photos and then share them with everyone in your group. Photos were $40 and definitely worth it! I highly recommend this company and would be open to doing this again here if I'm in the area.

Definitely one of the best highlights of our trip to Bend, Oregon over the weekend…read more Shay (maybe spelled Che) was A fantastic tour guide! Very knowledgeable, whimsical, lighthearted, and free spirited. The perfect person to lead an adventure into the Oregon wilderness. Our trip started with a short van ride from the Fred Meyer parking lot. She shared lots of knowledge about various trees in the area, wildlife, things the local government was doing to help clean up some of the territory we're gonna be going to explore the cave. She seemed like somebody who genuinely enjoys her job, likes to explore, and is just a genuine, good person all around. Going into the cave was surreal, almost like stepping into a different climate. It definitely felt like it was 45° all year round down there. Once we lost the natural lighting too it became very spooky, but everybody had headlamps so it was pretty easy to see where we were going. My wife and I saw a few baby brown bats hanging out on the walls while we were there. They were so tiny and cute! I'm glad they're able to survive down there. I really like that her tour guy gave us a choice between one of two directions into the cave. I have really bad knees, and thankfully, our tour guide, and our group was able to respect that. We had a very good lighthearted adventure down in the dark. My favorite part was when we all got to turn off our headlamps for a little bit, and stay silent, and just enjoy utter blackness. Deathly felt like a good way to de-stress a little. Shay was a fantastic tour guide and we are definitely going to be using this to our group again in the near future. Thanks for the memories!

A change to our party 1 week prior was dealt with quickly and kindly, including a follow up call just to be sure we were taken care of. Our tour leader was super friendly and knowledgeable about local ecology. I learned so much! The snowshoes had great bindings-- no one had them come loose. (Poles would have been helpful. I would bring my own next time) The bonfire was amazing and the goodies were tasty. Nature did her part with a sparkling clear night, brilliant moon and meteor. I will definitely do another tour with Wanderlust!

Woo-hoo! What a hoot! Spent a weekend in Bend with friends, g/f suggested that we take a ride…read morewith Outriders. Although a bit cautious, it sounded like fun and we signed up. Interestingly, our friends had tried to sign up the next morning but were told that "they'd see what they could do" because apparently Outriders only runs a limited number of 4x4's per trip. But, we found out later that day that they'd added one vehicle to the run and we were all good to go. Launch point was about a 15 minute drive from our friends in S. Bend. Just a turnoff on a forest trail off of the road, we spotted our guide and vehicles and got situated. Helmets were fitted, and we were given a clean set of instructions from Jason, our guide. And off we went. We'd signed up for the two-hour run and honestly, about 15 minutes in, I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it. It was a bit of a ride, even given the soft suspension of the 4x4's. However, it's hard to deny the beauty of the surroundings and the smiles on our faces. We got up to the top of a bluff whose same I don't recall - Sugar Bluff, maybe? - and stopped for a bit. Jason gave us a status check and a bit of history and geography info. He's very informative, and easy to talk to, very willing to answer questions. From there we headed through the forest to our next stop, some lava fields. Again, a bit of history, very informational about the age of the rocks, and some interesting facts about plant growth in relating to the lava rocks age. All in all, this was a heck of a ride. Up and down, bouncing all around, noisy, only a bit of dust (we were lucky that day so be forewarned if you do this during a dry spell). There are other options available, we're seriously considering one of them for our next trip to Bend. Don't forget to tip your guide!

We did the 4 hour, 4 brewery tour and it was just as educational and interesting as it was fun and delicious. Our guide, Jared, was very informative and made the day relaxing and interesting. He was helpfully conversational on many topics beyond just beer, but other questions about Bend and activities we were interested in. The brewery guides at each stop were gracious to have us and loved sharing their beers, which was nice to feel welcomed around the brewery scene. I highly recommend the Brewery Bus as a fun activity if you're in Bend looking to check out the awesome brewery scene. Beyond all that, you get to try a lot of great beer!
