Very disappointing experience. We were a group of four with a twosome directly in front of us, so there was nowhere for us to go. Behind us were two separate groups of two, and instead of having them pair up, the marshal came over and insisted that we let them play through. To make matters even more frustrating, the marshal was part of the group playing in front of us and was contributing to the backup on the course. The whole situation made no sense and showed a lack of understanding of proper pace-of-play management. We were being held up from the front, yet were told to let multiple groups pass from behind. The way this was handled created unnecessary frustration and negatively affected our experience. Because of the poor management and unprofessional handling of the situation, we will not be returning. Went here today, tee time at 2:20 playing 9 holes, had somewhere to be at 5:30. Had a cart so should take 1.5-2 hours. Nothing more. Didn't even get through 6 holes by 5pm. That is almost 3 hours to play 6 holes of golf. On every tee box there was atleast 4 carts waiting to play. Sad to see greedy, money hungry owners stacking tee times to this level, can't even finish a half a round in 3.5 hours is terrible. This will be my last time golfing Sun Hills read more

Extremely rude staff and way overbooked. we were waiting 15 minutes at every tee block and this grumpy old man in a marshall cart drives right into our game down the middle of the fairway and tells my brother who hit his drive, just barely off the fairway to pick up his ball, move it down like 50 yards, and take a three stroke penalty. This wasn't a PGA tournament. We were just weekend golfers trying to have some fun. He was very condescending and short. Both in demeanor and stature. It's crazy to me that this little man was driving around nitpicking rules like it was a tournament when he should've been focused on moving people along. It took over three hours to play nine holes. Being talked down to like that was enough for me to never go back and make sure anyone I know who plays never goes either. it was like he wanted people to hate their experience. I recommend Riverside. Ernie, the owner is super cool and cares about people's experience. The course is in way better shape too. read more

Smell of garbage dump next door most mornings while golfing there was not fun. Very unfriendly head pro and gm. Staff not very welcoming. Female teaching staff member is awesome. Wish she worked elsewhere. Greens and grounds well kept by head greens keeper. read more

Greens are not bad for how bad condition they are, pro shop knows nothing about anything on the course. Called to let them know there were 3 groups waiting on a tee for one group, hate playing slow golf especially when it's not a great course, still very cool area next to mountains. read more

I would label this as an enjoyable intermediate course. There's not a ton of hazards to get yourself into trouble, but the course offers a good variety of distances, dog legs, uphill holes, downhill holes, etc. the biggest caveat of this course is that there's no shade. I'd come here more often but quite frankly it can be just too damn hot in the summer. I like to walk when I golf, but the lack of shade makes riding in a cart a requirement during the hot summer months. If you like to golf here I'd recommend signing up for their emails. They send out special rates when its super hot, cold, conditions aren't perfect, etc. We were able to walk 9 holes for just $9 the other day since the snow barely melted, but honestly the course was in prime condition and no discount was needed. read more

really fun course, VERY friendly/nice staff. They had a busy day when I went in and still made an effort to fit my threesome into a spot. They even have a snack/drink (beer included) shack in between hole 4 and 5 which was awesome. They also showed that they take customer feedback into consideration with what they buy for beverages. definitely the most pleasant experience I've had with any courses Staff. 10/10 would recommend this course!! read more

Visited this golf course at 7:20 PM during the summer to get out and play nine holes. There were four cars in the parking lot. The employee turned us away and told us he would not send us out. He told us to go play Valley view golf course instead. He was very rude and on top of everything their phone wouldn't work so we could not book a teatime in the first place. Management has really gone down hill the last few years. Do not visit this course it is the worst customer experience in Utah. read more

Not the old dump it used to be. 100% turnaround over last few years with new management, new golf carts, new mowers, club house remodel, new cafe etc. Great views. Fun course. Good rates. Air show most afternoons too. Not crowded.....yet! read more

*Absurdly Hostile Staff Member* I typically golf with my brother at this location multiple times a year. This evening we picked up a tee time for 5:40 and finished at 8:06 (I know because I sent a text at this time when we ended when returning our cart). We were getting into our vehicle when a woman in her 30's/40's runs out of the club house screaming at us for golfing too late into the evening and "making everyone stay late working" (no exaggeration). It was disturbing and extremely unprofessional. I am a business owner myself and I would be appalled if any of my employees spoke like that to one of our regular customers.. It ruined an otherwise pleasant evening of golf. On your google business page it states your hours are until 9 PM. There is nothing stated that we can't finish a game at dusk (it was sunset). I don't think we took too long golfing either. A 2.5 hour game for 9 holes is not that long. Terrible experience. I won't be returning nor referring any more business your way unless I know she has been dealt with. In my line of business I have referred a lot of people to you but that ended tonight. You should know the most ironic part of this is my brother is an avid customer with a season pass and golfs at this location every other day. What an awful way to treat your customers. read more

Was hesitant to go here with some bad reviews but i was pleasantly surprised with this course. It will be my backup for the base course from now on. This course is just challenging enough to get your blood pumping but just easy enough to have a good time. The fairways and greens are well kept for the most part with plenty of sand traps along the way. Will definitely be back. read more
