The plan was to stay 1 night at this location because it was very convenient to spend the night and get up early to be at the rendezvous with the Hot Air Balloon people right next to the old barn in front of the Chevron gas station long before sunrise. Even having paid reservations at Devils Garden inside Arches NP we decided to extend our stay because after the balloon ride the temperature rose to over 100 and Devils Garden doesn't have electricity The park itself met our expectations and it has everything we needed but it is in the desert so it is not a pretty resort but the people that work the store and the campground are without a doubt the most accommodating people we ever met, the lady that runs this place allowed us to stay on the same site for the second and third night even if they ended up moving the people that had reserved to a different site due to our medical emergency Grateful for what they did when we needed it, 115 stars to this campground We would come back anytime when in the area read more

We stayed here on our first trip to Moab (in July). We rented one of the little cabins. It has been great. The cabin is comfortable with a full sized bed & bunk bed. There is also a picnic table, microwave & small refrigerator. There is no toilet/shower in the cabins, but there are several places to shower/bathrooms nearby on the property which also has places for your RV to park. There is also a General Store, laundry facility & gas station on the property. There is a great pool & splash park for the family. The skies are dark at night & great for stargazing. The property is not far from either Arches, downtown or the Canyonlands. The staff have been helpful. The site is clean & well-kept. I would stay here again. read more

Floors are caked in dust. We found a cockroach and a moth and a dead moth under our pillow. Gross! - HUGE ANTS everywhere but especially in the dog park. Didn't feel safe letting my dogs play in there. There's a ton of ant hills in the park and around the campground. - Tons of mosquitoes and flies everywhere, including the pool. - Amenities that were advertised online were closed/unavailable (firepit, grill area, splash pad) ...as of 6/25/24 - No drinking water available - Pricey! We paid almost $300 for 2 nights which is comparable to a hotel with private bath. Overall, Sun Outdoors was very disappointing. Campground was closed, but General Store was open. Masks were encouraged, and we wore ours. Lots of items were for sale, but we came for snacks. We purchased a tuna salad sandwich and a bag of Dot's pretzels. The gentleman who checked us out was nice and efficient. We were on our way to Canyonlands, and this was a quick and pleasant stop. If you need firewood or ice, it's available here. Also postcards and souvenirs. Food ranged from ice cream to sandwiches. Also cold and hot beverages were for sale! read more

Our 2-night stay at this RV park in June of 2022 didn't go well. As an engineer, I need to keep some contact going even when on vacation so Wi-Fi is one of the primary things we look for at a park. We arrived after office hours, picked up our packet at the gas station where you enter, and got to our space. We quickly discovered that the Wi-Fi was inoperable. We called the office but it was closed. We called the after hours number but there was no answer. We called the maintenance emergency number but got a message that this number had calling restrictions so you couldn't get thru. We called the help desk of the internet provider from the error message when the Wi-Fi failed but they said they were no longer the provider. We called Sun Outdoors customer service dept but the very helpful person there couldn't reach management either and said this was "not okay." The next morning I went to take a shower and passed the Wi-Fi hot spot which was just a few spaces from our RV space. I turned off the breaker to the Wi-Fi hot spot, waited 30 seconds, and turned it back on. When I returned from the shower, we were able to connect to the Wi-Fi okay. Let's talk about the showers shall we? They have a building with 2 toilets, laundry, and 3 showers. The toilets are not marked -- I wouldn't have known they were there had I not looked. The showers have no ventilation in them unless you want to open the tiny window while you shower and I hope you don't. The water pressure was low and I couldn't get any hot water to the shower, the sink, or the hand wash in the toilet. I looked thru the building including the laundry and I don't believe there is a water heater in the building. How do you have a laundry, showers, and hand wash lavs with no hot water? Also, the showers have no bench or seat of any kind. If you're elderly or have a bad back, getting dressed is no fun at all. Finally ready to leave, we packed up and headed out with our garbage. Most RV parks have a dumpster that you can go by on your way out. The only dumpster I found here was in the upper loop of the park which required me to go back into the park, into the upper loop, drop off the garbage, and loop all the way back to the exit. No fun and I certainly can't recommend this place at all. read more

If you want a fun experience and not a traditional hotel, check Archview out-they have tiny cabins as well as RV pads. We stayed in the Mayor cabin, which had a double bed as well as bunk beds. It also had a table, TV, microwave and fridge. There was a shared bathroom equipped with toilets, sinks and showers. As another reviewer said; the pictures don't do the place justice. It's not the fanciest of campgrounds, but I've seen worse. Due to the location being pretty far out of town, the views are spectacular! Yes, there is an ATV trail nearby, and that can get loud, but it wasn't bad. There is also a lot of dust, which you should expect in Moab at a campground. The pool area is clean, although the pool does leave a little to be desired. It's small-like REALLY small...but there is an adjacent splash pad that looks like a lot of fun for little kids. There are ample grills and seating areas throughout, so bring something to grill. There are also shared/community fire pits to hang around at night. The onsite gas station and convenience store are just that-convenient-but pricey. Plan ahead to get gas in town for 50cents per gallon cheaper. read more

So what's in a name? Don't expect to see Arches here but they are not far away. Pro's: nice open sites. Easy navigation and parking. Lots of people had extra off-road vehicles there. They have gas and a store. The restrooms were cute and clean. It was about 15 minutes to the park gate. (Go early, the park will close if too many people are already inside). The check-in was good. The people were helpful and friendly. We had changed our reservation from Portal RV because our son came with us and he had a tent for the bed of his truck. Portal said no way. No tents. Not even if it was on its own site. So we moved here and got 2 spots next to each other and it worked great. Con's: not a ton of shade and there is quite a bit of noise from the highway. No big for us in the trailer, just the kids in the tent woke up with Jake-breaks in the morning. read more

Stay from Mon. sept. 7th through Thurs. Sept. 10th. This resort/campground is about a 10 min. drive or less to Arches National Park entrance. It is clean and has a variety of sites to choose from. Cabins, small tent lots, bigger rv lots and very large 5th wheel lots...all on dirt/gravel. It has a trailhead that can be accesses from the campground, the great convenience of a chevron gas station on site. ON SITE, people! This is a huge plus. The staff are super friendly and helpful with hiking/shopping tips in the town of Moab, nearby. Everyone I encountered staff wise were wearing masks and practicing safe social distancing. Very clean campgroung. It can be noisy, as it near the road as other reviewers have mentioned. However, I always sleep when camping/rv'ing with earplugs and a fan on. So I didn't hear a thing. Slept like a baby all 4 nights of my stay. Great location and beautiful scenery all around. Will def. be back. Pool was open, although I did not use it afterall. I spent a lot of time hiking instead. And the bathrooms and showers are large, clean and free. read more

Really wanted to give this place all 5 starts, because the location is amazing, the view is just absolutely beautiful and staff is extremely friendly, helpful and kind BUT and it's a big deal was at least for us it's showers. It doesn't matter what time- if you are planning on using campground shower, don't hope for more than 10 sec of hot water. I'm not even exaggerating. It's very frustrating after a long day of riding mountains and being in cold weather not being able to take a hot shower that lasts more than 10 second. That's the only reason why I'm giving 2 starts. Gotta work on that water heater. read more

Check in was easy. Having a gas station on site was perfect for convenience too. Gas is way cheaper here than the one shady spot at Cresent junction. So drive 18 miles to fill up here at Chevron. We stayed in the deluxe site for the RV. Site #76. It was a perfect location that has a walkway to the showers and laundry mat. The showers was small but clean. The view is also great since it is right across from the premium sites. The only deduction from a perfect 5 star was malfunction machines. Two of the five washing machines were not working. The vending machines by the laundry mat and general store were also not working either. I was trying to get change from it to do laundry. So bring a few rolls of quarters. $2 to wash for 30 min and 45 mins to dry. I would stay here again way from the main town area. It was directly across to road from Canyonlands and 10 mins from Arch NP entrance. read more

This park is wonderful, with exceptionally clean bathrooms and showers, a pool with water play area and small park for kids. No fire pits at individual sites, but there is a large communal fire ring near the pool/park area. Head of maintenance was very friendly and greeted us on our first day in camp. Reserve one of the preferred sites overlooking Arches National Park if you can. Worth the view. Would most definitely recommend. read more

We stayed in this RV Park for 3 nights in August,2019. It was 100+ every day and there are maybe 2 sites there that had a tree for shade. Every square inch of the park, roads, campsites, etc is dusty reddish dirt!! Not a real fan of dirt RV sites. From our windshield, we could actually see some arches from Arches NP. Nice view. Full hook ups & extremely satellite friendly!! Store onsite but it was closed 2 days while we were there for installation of a new sidewalk & porch. They should have warned us when we registered!! All in all, it's a good to OK Campground. Closer to town is a park called The Portal. Might want to check it out. read more

We were very disappointed that the pool was not open. That was the sole reason we selected this campground, as we had lots of hot campers in our party. They told us it would open on Thursday, then it was Saturday, then it was Monday. They gave us a pass to the other pools in town, but I have little kids and driving them into town to cool off was not an option. Plus, we tried to go once and they told us to park on the main road and lectured us for 20 min regarding how we shouldn't have been sent to our pool. On top of this, one of the members of our family called them one day to check on Archview pool and the person who answered told her someone in our group was already told the update, so they would give her more information (which seemed to be changing often). Which is just rude. Give us an update when we ask. Also, during a huge storm we watched the entry sign fall down in front of us! A big metal sign. My husband pulled it out of the road so it didn't blow and hit other cars. It sat on the ground next to the entrance the entire four days we were there! Nobody cares! Anyway, quite frustrating and honestly, when Archview asked for my feedback on my experience, I sent this reply and heard nothing. Such a lovely area and facility but the lies and lack of pool were a huge disappointment. read more

My friend and I stopped by the gas station to fuel up and used the bathroom before heading back to CO. 45 mins after we drove off I realized I left my brand new ring at the bathroom:(. We pulled over and called the general store to see if they could find the ring. We spoke to Tina, (I think she was the assistant manager) and not only was she able to locate the ring for me, she was willing to mail it back to us since it was too far for me to turn around. Tina was extremely helpful and I was blown away by their kindness and excellent customer service:). I will definitely stop by next time on my way to Moab! read more

It took coming to Yelp to find out that Arch View office is closed on the weekends this information is no where to found on their website. It's been since 2017 since our group has stayed here and what a disappointing surprise that a wonder place has been gobbed up by a large corporate that can't even keep it's website up to date. Sad to see that place has gone seasonal our group like to come to Moab during the low season. The positive aspects: Great location! The campground is just far enough from town that you don't feel overwhelmed by the activity of downtown. There are 4WD trails and single track practically in your backyard. The route (Hwy 313) to the northern entrance of Canyonlands National Park and to Dead Horse Point State Park is just across the highway. Friendly and accommodating staff! We were running late on the day of our checkout and the staff worked with us, allowing us a late checkout and a more enjoyable morning. The downsides: The sites are tightly packed together. You WILL meet your neighbors. The WiFi isn't great, but it's totally functional. The gas at the convenient, on-site station is exorbitantly priced (50c more than other stations in town). You will hear the traffic from highway 191. read more

We paid the most of any other campground to stay at Archview, and walked away very disappointed. Two main issues to point out: 1) The pool was closed and we were NOT notified until we arrived. Sun RV Resorts continues to list the pool as open, but it is NOT. This is a major problem in July, but an even bigger problem that they didn't notify us in advance! They said we could cancel our reservation and stay elsewhere, but of course, everywhere else was booked at the last minute. Had they served their customer and told us in advance, perhaps we could've made other arrangements. 2) The bathhouse is an INFERNO! They have little to no ventilation and NO AC! With 100+ degree temperatures, the bathhouse was an oven!! They can and should do better. They charge a premium for the campground, it should be nice. Oh, and the store staffer is rude. One positive note: Tina is the manager and she helped us by reducing some of the cost. That helped and we appreciate it. Oh, and the views of Arches are awesome! read more

Just got back to California last night after our 5th trip to Moab. This was our first time staying at Archview. Wow! What a great place!! The staff was extremely nice, polite and helpful. The site was one of the largest campsites we've ever had in a privately owned campground. Not to mention... the view was awesome. We really liked that there was so many mountain bike trails accessible from the campground. Bar-M, Klonzo and Klondike Bluffs were all with-in a few miles of scenic riding. Not to mention the campground is only a few miles from Arches, Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point and town. We traveled in our RV towing our Jeep. The pull through site was HUGE giving us plenty of space to set up and spread out. We will definitely be visiting Archview Campground again!! read more

As others have said, this is a fantastic location, situated just a few minutes (via car) from the entrance to Arches and about 20 minutes from the "Island in the Sky" region of Canyonlands National Park. My wife and I arrived late, after the office was closed, but were easily able to find our campsite via a map that was marked and left for us at the main office/general store. As the location near the highway, so you'll hear some road noise if you are in a tent. I'm from NYC, so a little ambient noise was welcomed :) We came here as a "jump-off" spot and couldn't have asked for much more. The bathrooms were SUPER CLEAN. The general store had all the little things that you could need, and the people that we interacted with were professional, helpful and friendly. Next time, I'd rent a cabin. One of those rare cases where you wish there were a "zero stars" option. Before I get into my tale of woe, here's the bottom line: I'm pretty sure the positive reviews for this place are from RV campers - anyone considering this place for tents would be wise to consider my experience. My friends and I have never had such a horrible customer experience anywhere ever before, and we're all experienced, minimally demanding travelers and backpackers. I would much rather roll around in bedbugs than deal with these people ever again. So, the story! We had just gotten out of 3 days in the backcountry of canyonlands, and were looking for somewhere to put our tents for two nights while we rested and explored Arches - nothing more. We called Archview, who let us know that they had space. We were clear that we were four adults, and the employee did not react in any way to indicate that we may not fit in one camp site. This person took my card information over the phone for our reservation, and charged me for the first night - she let us know this would be non refundable despite us not having seen the site. (Admittedly a huge mistake on our part) We arrive, sign everything to pay the balance on the two nights, and again are told repeatedly NO REFUNDS without ever being offered to take a look at the site. (Again, huge, huge error in judgement - but did I mention we had just finished a long tiring backpacking trip? It was nap time.) We finally get to the site and our jaws drop. The whole thing is covered in gravel and is impossibly small - so small the only way we could possibly fit both our two person backpacking tents was to move the picnic table out into the lane, and we were informed that we could not do anything to block the lane lest the RVs have trouble turning around. We went back, and politely informed the employee at the desk of our problem. She offered a larger space for the same price. Great! We check it out - it's barely larger, and it adjoins several public spaces (including a fire pit) that look like they would get noisy at night. We returned and politely informed the employee that it wouldn't work either. She shrugged and blinked at us. I asked to speak with a manager, and we were told that the "manager would say the same thing". Fine, I said, but could we please hear that from the manager directly? The avoidance and blinking continued. I started to do the employee's job for her, asking if there was any possibility of a partial refund or a discounted rate on a second campsite. Hilariously, she told us that they were much too busy to offer any refunds. Again, we got the site without a reservation - but they're so busy there's no possibility of them filling the site with other campers? A second woman at the front desk addressed the other employee, saying that she was the manager and she said no. We asked to speak to this "manager" directly, but she ignored us and busied herself helping other customers. We politely told the back of her head that we would wait until she was free to talk. Several minutes passed, and the "manager" told the other employee she was going to call the POLICE to have us removed. We told her that wasn't necessary, and that all we wanted was to speak with her and have someone listen to our complaint like we were humans, let alone customers. She finally walked outside with us, said our only options were one campsite or the other, and that she would call the police if we didn't get away from her right away. Needless to say we didn't feel comfortable staying. We left and found another campsite for the same price that easily accommodated us, was right next to town, and had professional management - the Moab Rim campsite. (Highly recommended!) Every other campground we even inquired with at least asked us how many tents we had - hmmmmm. Avoid the con artists at Arch View at all costs. read more

We got in late afternoon and it was 97 degrees out. The heat and open exposure was a little daunting, but we were overjoyed to get into the pool and mini water park for the next hour to cool off and move around from sitting in the van for hours. The sites are clean, the bathrooms & showers are great and it's a stones throw from Arches where we went the next morning. I would definitely recommend this for someone pulling in for the evening for an overnight stay. read more

The location of this resort is amazing! Beautiful location and only minutes from Arches NP. The highway to Dead Horse Point and Canyonlands NP is just across the way. The front desk and convenience store staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were week kept and very clean. The pool area and children's splash area was very nice though we didn't use it. The spaces were small, but we did have enough room for our RV and tow vehicle side by side. It was quiet at night while we were here. I deducted a star because the propane fill wasn't available which would have been nice to know ahead of time. We had to drive somewhere else to get some. Also, there were no trash receptacles to be found! We had to walk the whole place and then found a dumpster. Not a big deal, but we had a long walk or had to drive to get rid of our trash. Overall, an excellent experience. I would return here and also recommend it to others! read more

We travel thru Moab 2-3 times a year, this us our go to stop. Regardless whether it is for one night or severaln this is where we stay. Clean, nice level sites. We really like staying north of town as you miss the hubbub of the traffic. You have to expect dust staying in the desert, it washes off. We travel in a 44'Class A and tow a pickup and we always have plenty of room. The staff is great. Friendly and helpful. We highly recommend! read more

our Site #92 had stunning vistas of arches in Arches national park as well as the la sal mountains. if you can get a site on the southern end (premium or extra large) you will have a gorgeous view. nice pool, great laundry facilities, well stocked camp store, fuel including diesel and propane on site, and 60+ rv channels with great reception. Pool. so why 2 stars? First, the park provided extensive 2 pages of COVID info but no listing for the afore mentioned 60+ tv channels NOR were there any park rules provided. None. The park appears to cater to the off road clientele. We complained to the park on day one of neighbors who left their dogs unattended and outside while they went off-roading for 6 or more hours- nothing was done by management to remedy the matter during our 3 day stay. check in was an issue. We made our reservations months ago, the confirmation said 12:30 pm check in so we planned our travel accordingly only to be told that changed to 2pm as of 4.1, and we were just going to have to wait. I noticed 2 rigs ahead were checked in as was one behind. Pressing the matter a bit, we got checked without any apology after a 45 minute wait. while the views were spectacular, the poor checkin Experience, barking dogs, no tv listing, no campground rules (expectations) and early morning ATV starts took a *bit* off the edge. Hence only 2 grudging starsfor the view and access to Moab and Arches. moab is just 10 minutes away. Groceries, fuel, great dinning. Arches national park gets crowded so go early 7am at the latest and enjoy without the crowds. all said this still appears to be the best rv option in the area. Be forwarned. read more

I actually feel bad about giving a low review. Our first night we only had positive experiences here. The bathrooms are super clean, everyone there took the 10 o'clock quiet time seriously, there are a lot of nice amenities like a pool and public campfire. The only reason I'm giving a low score is because we had an extremely negative experience with one of the maintenance ladies there. We had another group come in, the second day, and so we reserved another campsite right next to us. When they pulled up, the maintenance lady saw that there were multiple cars and people next to us and started yelling at us and telling us how we were breaking the rules by having too many people at one site. We tried to explain to her that we had rented out 2 sites as well as an RV spot, but she kept cutting us off and then said she was going straight to the office to charge us more money. Luckily, the lady at the office was SUPER helpful as I ran down also to talk to her. After going through the situation, the reservation lady confirmed everything was ok. The maintenance lady acted all angry about it still at the end and stormed off! I'm not saying to not come here. Almost everyone we talked to was wonderful and the campsite is really nice! I just hope that they see this so that they can give some additional training to that lady. I understand that rules need to be followed and they have a right to enforce them, but we were following the rules! It really soured our evening and could have been completely avoided if she had let us talk without cutting us off. read more

I visited Arch View for about a month and was pleased overall. Moab is tough for RV parks. They are all dusty and with small sites. I was happy here. Location: It is a good location for easy access to Arches, Canyonlands and Deadhorse SP. It is also a good location if you are into ATV's, dirt bikes, etc. If you need to be in the city of Moab very often it might not be your first choice but I didn't mind the 15 min drive into town (gorgeous commute). Noise: Because of this there is a lot of ATV action throughout the day. They have fairly strict rules regarding these vehicles though so I wasn't bothered by it overall. Sites: The regular sites are very small. I had a premium site for part of the time and would choose a premium site next time. Public Areas: The bathroom areas were kept very clean. They were a little understocked (tp, soap, paper towels) on busy weekends. There are two bathroom areas, one is very nice the other is clean but old and small. Their septic system was smelly in the bathroom areas at times. The staff was exceptional. They were friendly and even worked hard to accommodate me on a busy weekend because I had messed up my reservation. read more

My wife and I come here with friends for a week every May. This is a great place to stay when in the area, however it is 10 miles from Moab so if hanging-out in town is important to you, you may want to stay closer. We generally stay in a cabin and have found them to be small be complete with everything we needed for our stay. Mattresses are a little uncomfortable so bring sleeping bags if you want a good nights sleep. read more

Heated pool that closes early. Small but a place to soak. Store open 8 to 8. Had bare basics and maybe coffee and hot dogs and ice cream depending on the mood of the crabby lady that makes it. Lousy WiFi and weak Verizon signal that occasionally works. ATV/SxS/jeep access to all trails. Trail maps are 14 years outdated so hold that thought. Trail names have changed, not all trails are illustrated nor listed and it can get confusing. Gas/diesel station is a real convenience and is about $1 more per gal than in town. read more

A little pricey for what it is (shared bathroom/shower about 50 yards from room, no regular turn down service, no breakfast, etc), since the cost was actually HIGHER than local chain hotels in Moab. A few minor issues with the room and bathroom, but otherwise clean and comfortable. Staff was very busy, as the main focus seems to be on the R/V campgrounds and not the residential units/Casitas. read more

Had a really nice stay here in one of the smaller cabins. Our cabin was C, towards the front of the lot. It had just about everything we needed, our only suggestion was more coat hooks & tables/shelves in there but other than that it was pretty much perfect. Everything we needed was close by (bathrooms/showers, mini store, dumpster). It was a little bit out of town but I think that was an added bonus, it was a more quiet. If I come back I will absolutely stay here again. One disappointment (reason for the 4 stars) is the pool was closed! We were so excited for that after a long day hiking, no one in reservations mentioned it to me on the phone. I was almost tempted to ask for a partial refund because of this, but we had such a good time I let it go. read more

Very cute and clean place. Everything worked, full hookups, playground, pool, splash pad, decent cabins. Even a dog area/dog run. Overall I'd give this place a 5 easily considering its in the middle of nowhere. The only downside is the cost of gas. But the fact they have a gas station out here is great too. If you're ok with a dusty gravel parking lot for RVs sandwiched very close together, then this place will be just fine for you. It just happens it wasn't busy when we were there--if if had been, it would have been a much worse experience. We look for a little privacy, shade trees, and getting closer to nature--so this campground was a bad choice for our family. We actually ended up paying $20 to park at a nearby BLM campground the second night because we were do displeased. read more

The pictures found on the internet do not do this place justice. When we looked at it on google maps we were a little nervous but decided to try it out anyways. However, we had a positive experience from start to finish. Upon arrival we realized we had forgotten to adjust our reservation with our itinerary and arrived a day earlier than scheduled. The staff was very understanding and was able to accommodate us anyways and still give us a good tent site. The bath houses were always clean however the showers would have been better with more pressure and hotter water. We were most impressed with the staff as we encountered them several times due to the convenient general store/gas station on site. The staff remembered us each time and was able to ask follow up questions on our adventures and our stay. We would recommend this place for any tent camper. read more

If what you are looking is camping experience... this is not it!!! It is a parking lot, with one tent/RV next to each other, dusty. Not at all beautiful.... you are exposed to everyone... very depressing. We stayed 2 nights and try to be as little as possible there. I can only say that bathrooms are amazing!!!! Great place to stay when you want to use your ATV from the camp site. Took awhile to check in when we already had a reservation. No fire pits and little trees, but you are in the desert. The bath house showers didn't work well, more of a drizzle. On site gas pump and propane if you need to fill up. cable TV hook up. We stayed in one of the four premium RV pull thru sites and it wasn't cramped but the other sites looked cramped. read more
