It's my First time Camping here and going through a Tunnel under the ocean to get here was quite the experience. I Really enjoyed the Beautiful sunsets and the view. * Camping Sites: Gravel and Pavement, if you get the ones near pier 1 or 2 they are gravel, and they are semi easy to Pull a 5th wheel Camper into and get out since the front campers are blocking your way to get out although, The front spots are easy to pull into. Over where the Pier 3 and Pier 4 are mostly Paved, * Fishing: 24/7 if you want to fish all day- and night you can. There is a * Adult Pool: It is Open on (Fri-Sat-Sun only) Opens at :11am closes at : 8pm) it is away from the Main Pool, the Adult Pool seems very quiet I would've taken pictures of the pool but you have to be 21 to enter it even with no 21+ things in it. There are no Hot Tubs. * Cafe : is semi- expensive, i didn't go in there because i Cooked my own Food. * The playground: 2 Pillow jump pads, near a playground with slides and monkey bars and there are 2 Softball Nets, Near the Pavilion. * Golf Carts - that you can use and there are paved roads to get you into the park, * The Bathrooms: They are very well maintained, there is a Laundry Room behind the Cafe'. * What i Would like to see: A Expansion near the Gravel Sites, and I would Like to see the Beach to be a little bit Cleaner from all the algae and things like that. Thank you. Best of all, Thank you for Responding to My Review Business Operator, have a Nice day, Later. 6/10stars

    The awesome view.

We stayed during 4th of July holiday break. Lots of upgrades since our last visit a few years ago although what I think is missing is a true beach that's swimmable. The beaches are somewhat muddy and probably nothing they can do about it. A food and bar restaurant at the end of one of the docks would be a nice touch during the beautiful sunsets. Maybe I'm comparing too much but still a very nice park if those amenities aren't a necessity. The pools they have are outstanding for kids and adults.

Our time here was absolutely amazing!!! Brittany Morris is the manager and she took the BEST care of our family. Every staff member was friendly and the whole place is impeccable. There are SO many amenities within the grounds! it's got 4 whole piers and multiple private beaches. Even a special dog beach!!!! The general store is well stocked, the food at the cafe is great, they have an arcade, laundry, putt-putt course, multiple pools, & golf cart rentals (DEF worth it!). The surrounding towns are idyllic and make sure you get the Bayside nachos from Aj's in cape Charles- Walt, the wonderful shuttle driver provided by the campground will be happy to give you a ride and a knowledgeable tour all in one! I can't recommend visiting here enough!!!!!. The manager's (Brittany Morris) obvious love for this place, her job, and her customers trickles down to every other employee and then shows up again in the neighborly culture of the guests. We will be visitors for life!!!

The campsites are clean and well-kept and are located right next to the beach. As a previous person noted, you must be affiliated with the DoD for access to the Dam Neck Annex - the Navy base the campground is located on. I have two critiques that prevent me from a five-star review. The first is that the campsites are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. We made our reservations in January for our August trip based on recommendations from friends and knowing the campground would fill up quickly. When we arrived on Tuesday afternoon at 2pm, after driving seven hours to get there, the only spots remaining were the two "shared" sites. Each was already half occupied by someone we didn't know. The space between the sites is no more than what you'd get in a parking lot (you share the same concrete pad). A reservation system that allowed you to reserve specific sites would fix this. The second critique is that there seems to be a lot of long-term campers. Not seasonal, but long term. These people have their RVs or travel trailers essentially parked in prime spots and they weren't there, at least during our visit. I get it it. If they pay, they get to stay. Perhaps, though, the number of those campers should be limited to allow families on vacation more opportunities to take advantage of the campground. Overall, though, it's a good campground. We may be back in the future. Knowing what I know now, though, we'll use a different strategy when we arrive.

As avid campers and loyal patrons of KOA Campgrounds, my family and I were shocked by the lack of cleanliness and overall poor conditions at your site. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a series of disappointments. The closure of the restrooms throughout our stay was unacceptable. It is inconceivable that a campground offering food services, recreational facilities, and entertainment options would neglect such a basic necessity as clean and accessible bathrooms. The overflowing dumpsters attracted swarms of flies, making our outdoor experience unbearable. Despite our efforts to mitigate the issue, the unsanitary conditions persisted, forcing us to seek refuge inside our camper. The trash-laden beach further exacerbated the problem, driving families away from the main attraction of your campground. While we appreciated the activities available for children, we were dismayed by the lack of consideration for those with disabilities. The absence of proper ADA accommodations and inclusive planning deprived some children of the opportunity to participate fully in the activities. In summary, the overall cleanliness and maintenance of your campground fell far below the standards we have come to expect from the KOA brand. It is disheartening to see a location operating under such conditions under the KOA franchise. I urge you to address these issues promptly to ensure a more enjoyable and sanitary experience for future campers. Our family has cancelled all future reservations at this location.

That said; We really enjoyed our stay here at Little Creek Campground... While we did get rained out, the two days and one night we got to spend were nice. We were looking for something a little more woodsy and secluded and this fit our needs great. Most of the tent sites are off in the woods a bit, so you must hike in a bit (like, a couple hundred feet) which is worth it for the woodsy experience you get, in my opinion! Our site (#7) was spacious and clean-ish (c'mon, it's the woods) and there was placement for multiple small tents or one larger family tent. The sites are not terribly close together. You can her the hum of voices from your neighbors, but no actual voices carried over. Overall, it was great. For $10/night we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed a full hookup site. This campground is in perfect proximity to all three historic spots as well to Busch Gardens which we went to with the two day pass to break up the large amount of history. This all worked out very well. The campground is very nice, and well taken care of. George is the head of maintenance and grounds, and he makes sure that things get done. The grass is cut, the staff will pickup your bagged trash if you set it out on your site by 9am, picnic tables with umbrellas was a nice addition and the gas grill at each campsite makes cooking easier for the campers. Staff will deliver ice and firewood to your campsite. The swimming pool with splash pad was a big hit with the grandchildren and made the choice of staying at this campground easy. They also have an activity building that features things to do like a basketball shooting game, tabletop shuffleboard, a pool table, giant checkers, various board games, and more. There is a laundry room adjacent. There is a kid jumping pillow, playground, hiking trails, disc golf, and lots more. WiFi was good and the grounds are secure. We enjoyed our stay here. The cost per night of our stay seemed a bit high at first sight but with the many amenities the cost smoothed out once on site. A couple negatives I have is that a $10.00 price tag for a small bag of firewood was very disappointing and over the top. Also, we made our reservations early to ensure locking in on the available site of our choice but then were forced to pay an additional $10 fee to guarantee that they didn't move us into a site that would not be our preferences. Even so, we would stay here again if we wanted to spend more time in this area.

Let's start with the good. This campground is located about 5 miles down a heavily wooded road to…read morethe point you will begin to think you've gone the wrong way. At night, these woods can honestly, be a little creepy, but they're still very beautiful. There is an abundance of wildlife to see as well - especially deer - so be careful when driving, no matter the time of day or night. We also saw foxes, raccoons, possums, deer of all ages and genders - including two bucks fighting during one experience, baby/tiny crabs, live oysters, etc. So if you're looking for wildlife, this is definitely a great spot to find and see it! On the weekends they do breakfast and lunches at the lodge. Our first Saturday here, we were unaware of this and headed right upstairs to the billiards room. One of the female staff came up and got us to see if we were hungry. She went out of her way to get us and that definitely left a wonderful impression. The lunch was great, that seems to be an every Saturday affair which is super nice. Breakfast seems to be every Sunday morning starting at 9am. The bad part about this is that there's no notices or announcements or anything to let you know of these things going on. So that's a small negative. I feel like maybe this should be included with your check in package so you're aware of these get together going on. Now, speaking of the billiards/game room, this is actually where we spent a majority of our time. There are two pool tables, 2 table tennis set ups, and 2 air hockey tables. One of the pool tables and one of the air hockey tables do not work. The one air hockey table has been broken since we first came here. The pool table however was damaged by children on our last Saturday at this campground. All the games are free to play and you're unsupervised. The stuff is old and it's not in perfect shape but it's there and it worked. So it was so sad to see that a family came in there and allowed this destruction. When we called the rangers, they were so upset to hear about it. I hope that they're able to put up a camera, at least at the entrance of the lodge so they know whose coming and going from now on. We have learned that this campground does not get much funding and frankly, it shows. This campground though really deserves more funding. The staff are great and the park has so much potential. It's beautiful here! Unlike what you might expect from pictures or map view, there is no beach or swimming available unless the pool is open. The "beaches" are more along the lines of swamp land and marshes more then anything. You can go oyster fishing here as there are tons of them! Fishing is best to do during high tide only. There is a fishing pier that is kind of lopsided but seems otherwise okay. There's also a boat ramp and appears to have once been floating docks. The boat ramp can only be used during high tide because otherwise it's just a mud pit with absolutely no water. The floating docks have been blocked off as they're just a complete mess. I'm not sure if a storm damaged them or what but they're in awful shape. There are two playground at this campground and I wouldn't trust my kids on either of them. One is by the pool and then another is by the cabins. Swings are held up by rope or are broken due to age, wood looks old and discerning, just for example. It just looks dangerous and run down. There's no volleyball set up and the mini golf is a disaster. The carpets are missing on most of them, they're all straight shots, and most of the side rails are non-existent. We never would have known it was closed if we hadn't come across the fallen over, hand written sign that just sits propped up against one of the holes. We had mentioned in the office in front of a male staffer that we had intended to play mini golf but he had made no mention of it being closed or that it was in basically completely unusable condition. As for the pool, it was offseason so it was closed but it was still full of pool water which considering the weather, if it's not emptied and winterized soon, there won't be a pool next year. Moving around the campground, most of the lots have no power (as in the power isn't working or shut off) so you can't park there. I'd say this goes for about half the camp sites. As for full hookups, there's maybe 6 sites total. All the rest are just electric and water hook ups. The good news though is that a majority of the sites are pretty level and there are several sites in the wooded area that are just gorgeous! Over all, the scenery is beautiful, the wild life is amazing, the staff is very friendly, but the campground could use a lot of work. The campground is run down, out dated, and just needs some upgrades and maintenance done. I wouldn't recommend this park at this time. We really hope that they get funding and can improve the place because we'd love to come back in a few years and see it doing better.

The views are nice, and the place is generally very peaceful. However, it is also fairly run down…read moreand based on conversations with other campers, there's no plan to improve it. Many site's hookups are broken (like 50% or more), and their best full hookup sites were flooded to the point of being closed. Seems like it was once a great spot and has declined in the last 20 years. There are also *lots* of bugs. We were there in October and got eaten alive - so I can't imagine what it's like when mosquitoes and flies are in full swing. There's also not much to do in the immediate area - you have to drive at least 30 minutes away to do pretty much anything. So it's not a great spot if kids are involved. The guy working the gatehouse called us while we were en route, and was palpably irritated that we wouldn't be arriving until 5:30 because he usually leaves at 5. Really? All of that said, if you're after a sleepy, quiet place and aren't bothered by biting insects, it could be for you.
