We enjoyed a full hookup site. This campground is in perfect proximity to all three historic spots as well to Busch Gardens which we went to with the two day pass to break up the large amount of history. This all worked out very well. The campground is very nice, and well taken care of. George is the head of maintenance and grounds, and he makes sure that things get done. The grass is cut, the staff will pickup your bagged trash if you set it out on your site by 9am, picnic tables with umbrellas was a nice addition and the gas grill at each campsite makes cooking easier for the campers. Staff will deliver ice and firewood to your campsite. The swimming pool with splash pad was a big hit with the grandchildren and made the choice of staying at this campground easy. They also have an activity building that features things to do like a basketball shooting game, tabletop shuffleboard, a pool table, giant checkers, various board games, and more. There is a laundry room adjacent. There is a kid jumping pillow, playground, hiking trails, disc golf, and lots more. WiFi was good and the grounds are secure. We enjoyed our stay here. The cost per night of our stay seemed a bit high at first sight but with the many amenities the cost smoothed out once on site. A couple negatives I have is that a $10.00 price tag for a small bag of firewood was very disappointing and over the top. Also, we made our reservations early to ensure locking in on the available site of our choice but then were forced to pay an additional $10 fee to guarantee that they didn't move us into a site that would not be our preferences. Even so, we would stay here again if we wanted to spend more time in this area.

Whether you're a beach lover, a nature enthusiast, or just in the mood to explore, this city has it all. I'm all about how clean and well-kept the area is--honestly, it's one of the reasons I love it so much. The biking trails are perfect for an afternoon ride, and there's always a new spot to discover. One of the things I really appreciate is how much the community values supporting local businesses. Whether you're into cozy cafes, trendy boutiques, or fun outdoor activities, you'll find a place that feels like home. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Virginia Beach is welcoming to everyone and offers so many ways to enjoy life here.

And no scary bridges or tolls. It was a smooth sail arriving and leaving. All this was done on the labor day weekend. When we arrived, people are so friendly! If you're staying for the day their are plenty of places to park for the day. And a lot of nice hotels that wont charge an arm or a leg since peak season is over. Boardwalk is nice, and plenty to see and do. This beach is very diverse and chill unlike OC beach. Youll definitely have a good time, and you gotta grab some Dough boy pizza to grub on the beach.

When you have a toddler that loves the water, you HAVE to take them to great wolf lodge! We've been…read morehere twice now in the last year. The first time was just a day pass in the afternoon which is a great deal if you don't want to stay the night. And most recently we stayed the night and had a great time! We booked the kid cabin suite which can accommodate up to 7 people but I think realistically and comfortably, it would be 5. It comes with balcony access, a pull out sofa bed, a queen size bed, a bunk bed, a full size bed and one bathroom. The room is fairly spacious but could use either a bigger table and or an addition half bath at least to accommodate up to 7 people. This was great for us as we had 4 adults and one toddler. There are quite a few attractions here besides the water park. They have a pretty extensive arcade, glow in the dark putt, bowling, story time for kids, ropes course, laser tag and multiple restaurants! Obviously their main attraction is their huge indoor water park! They have things for babies to adults to try here! But I would say their main water attractions are geared more for small babies to middle schoolers. There are multiple water slides for all ages and there's a HUGE bucket of water that dumps about 1,000 gallons of water every 5 mins! Pretty cool! We added on the breakfast buffet for which I would highly recommend. This isn't your typical hotel breakfast! Their offerings were pretty vast and even included a MTO omelette station! If you want to entertain your kiddos, look no further than great wolf lodge for all your entertainment needs! SN: everyone gets a wristband to wear which grants you access to the water park BUT you can also use it to charge purchases to the room AND serves as you room key! Pretty cool!!

My sheets had dirt or sand on them. The "crafts" for kids, is crayons and a coloring page each time. Everything is so expensive here, that it reminds me of Vegas hotels. A single candy bar was 8.00. The buffet was actually pretty good but the restaurants are awful. Every attraction is designed so it is cost prohibitive unless you spend a ton on unlimited passes. I paid 24.00 to pay one fast round if laser tag with my 2 kids and myself. I called to ask for trash pickup and towels and ai said someone would be up "immediately." An hour later and no one came. I searched the internet for the front desk number (there is no lodge info at all in the rooms) and got voicemail so I left a message. Still waiting to see if they're going to come. Parking is somehow 20.00 a day. We have a handicap placard and there were very, very few handicap spots, we never got one and ended up having to park on the opposite end of the lodge every time, with an Autisic kiddo at risk elopement. The noise. Yes, it's for families. Kids are loud. But, who are these purely that are letting their kids run up and down the hall screaming every night. It's not just the kids, the adults are busy yelling at the kids to slow down. I've gotten so little sleep because it's so loud all the time. I will not be back. It cost my family of 6 far less to rent a 6 bed 4 bath oceanfront house in NC. Oh, and something I saw mentioned a lot- one of our adjoining rooms wasn't ready when we arrived. We arrived at about 4:15 and check in was at 4. It wasn't ready until 5. Not a huge deal for us if everything else had been cool, but it's just another thing in the list I saw mentioned a lot. It gets 2 stars instead of 1 because 1. The staff that I encountered was nice. 2. It's nice to find a place big enough for all of us. 3. The kids like the water park- it's a good size, but not big enough to justify the price.

I was contacted and informed that I was selected to win a gift card and free hotel stay. As the conversation went on, my wife and I said "this sounds a lot like a timeshare." The representative said "Not at all. This is a tour of our facility in hopes that we can spread the word on what a great experience you have." We showed up for our "tour" and it was immediately clear that this was a time share pitch. Lie #1. Honestly, we knew what we were getting into so it wasn't that surprising but it was disappointing that our relationship kicked off with deceit. Throughout the scheduling calls and the time share pitch, we were told there "are absolutely no blackout dates or surprise charges for particular dates." Lie #2. Once we scheduled our "free stay" we were forced to accept Sun-Tues or pay a $100 fee for other dates. We were also not allowed to book in pretty much every month except May/June without another upgrade fee. The tour mentioned some things like "Williamsburg is a huge demand for guests because there are only allowed to be 9 hotels here." Interesting...Booking.com has 30+ options. Lie #3. These are predators that CAN NOT tell the truth. They pigeonhole you by stealing all of your time up front and then BS you over and over again until they squeeze money out of you OR force you to throw in the towel and toss away their "gifts."
