I went for the nude 5K and wanted to see what it was all about. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort itself was very clean and everyone had really nice homes. The race was fun, lots of people cheering, spraying water and offering water/beer. I talked with a few people, some regular and some new and they all seemed like really down to earth people. It was great seeing so many different types of people being happy and comfortable in their skin. I'll definitely go for the 5K again next year. read more

We had a wonderful and relaxing week. The people were extremely open and friendly with us newcomers. This started at check in when the gentlemen at the desk did an outstanding job of explaining all the amenities and policies. There was a variety of ages and other demographics so it really was a family friendly experience for everyone. It wasn't too crowded at any point in our visit and the pools and hot tub were clean and nice. The room wasn't fancy but had everything we needed and was very close to the community building. They also have a game room and a library in case you forgot pool side reading. We were disappointed the main restaurant was closed while we were there but "The Breeze" snack bar had sandwiches and burgers at very good prices. We hope to make it back some time. A very relaxing trip and we had very little laundry when we got home. read more

I had always wanted to experience the naturist lifestyle so I took the leap and went to White Tail Nudist Resort 2 weeks ago. I went into the office and they ran a background check on me. After I passed they told me where the pool was. I walked in and everyone at the facility was super friendly and welcoming. The resort is nicely cared for. I enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the pool. While I seemed to be the only single lady all the couples were very friendly and it was easy to strike up conversations. By the end of the day I decided to join the AANR. I can't wait to go back to the resort and enjoy myself, as well as check out other resorts throughout the country. read more

Will NEVER go back! Let's start with the good stuff: The facilities are very nice. The pool, hot tub, recreation, restaurant building was very nice. The waitress at the restaurant was very friendly and the service was excellent. The maintenance staff were great. We had a bad showerhead in our rental and it was fixed with 30 minutes of me reporting it. I enjoyed that the resort was family friendly and that there were several minors on the grounds during our visit. Now to why I will never go back: I have been a social nudist for over 23 years. I have been to several nudist resorts and met hundreds of nudists over that time. Most nudist are friendly people who make a point of introducing themselves and if they are members of the club you are visiting they try to make sure you are enjoying yourself. That is not the case here. We were at the resort for 4 days and a total of 5 people/couples said anything to us. We attended their Easter dance and it was attended by about 40 couples. We arrived just after 9PM when the event started. It was a somewhat chilly evening so we arrived dressed and found a place to sit. My wife started getting undress while I warmed up a little bit before disrobing. After about 5 minutes a gentleman walked up to us and without introducing himself asked it we were new. We said we were and he in a very rude tone announced that the club was not clothing optional and I need to get naked. I said that I was just warming up a little and his comment was "I keep it pleasantly warm in here so you should be fine by now". The DJ for the events wife (who was very pleasant along with her husband) asked if everything was OK. We explained the situation and the she said "Oh, the owner is usually very friendly, maybe he's having a bad day". We were rightfully a little miffed over the confrontation but decided to try and make the best of the evening. During the 3 hours we were at the event only 2 couple came up and introduced themselves. Most avoided us like the plague. The DJ tried his best to do a good job but apparently the owner was in charge of the playlist. He kept a microphone with him throughout the event and "tried" to sing along with his requests. It was extremely bizarre. The DJ would go from a good dance song to something from the 50's or 60's that he could sing along with. So if you are looking for a friendly, social nudist resort this is NOT the place. read more

Call on the morning of your visit if you are a non-member day visitor. Otherwise, do not waste your drive. They (within their rights) decide on a day-to-day basis whether they will accept day visitors to enter the campground. Don't show up after driving 2 hours just to get turned away. That said, I have been there a few times pre-Covid, and they are very friendly, and welcoming. Lovely grounds, lots of activities, well-maintained, and two perfect pools. read more

I attended an open house they had recently, my first time ever in that environment, and I was blown away! I enjoy being naked whenever I can, but I never have been in front of others. As soon as you pass through the big mechanical gate, everyone is naked! They might have a towel over their shoulders, or a sarong, but everything else is hanging out. No big deal! All different shapes and sizes, young and old. It's a family resort, and there were families at the pool (the only place you're required to be nude) with kids and all playing together. It really is incredible to experience. Nothing creepy, it's all normal. They have the outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and a hot tub. It's kind of like a camp ground and people are running around on golf carts-naked of course. There were people playing Pickleball, with just shoes on. Everything like normal, just no clothes. I'm playing volleyball in the indoor pool, we're all naked, and it's no big deal. You hardly notice, really. You can probably tell, as I said, I was blown away. My only complaint is that, because I'm married, I can't go back without my wife whether she's okay with it or not. read more

TERRIBLE! Beware if you're gay, lesbian, transgender, feminist, or polyamorous. We have attended this establishment multiple times without any problems ever. During our last visit three weeks ago we were discriminated by the staff by our sexual identity. We are shocked. We did not exhibit any unacceptable behavior whatsoever. We merely enjoyed the sunshine, enjoyed the food, and socially chatted with a couple of people. We strictly follow their rules. Yet we cannot come back per their management We called MULTIPLE times to speak with the managers Paul and Bob, but the office staff refused to let us speak with them. We did NOTHING wrong yet we are treated like trash. Shame on you Whitetail staff and management! We are professional individuals who are respectful and courteous of ALL people whether what race, religion, or sexual identity they are. We are shocked, hurt, and angry. This place is disgusting. PERIOD. Stay away unless you are the societal "norm." Only one star given because I have to rake this regardless. One star isn't even worth it. read more

Horrible!!! We went to Whitetail resort for a weekend of relaxation in the sunshine about three weeks ago. We had a wonderful time! We met some very nice people and relaxed and enjoyed the sunshine on our bare skin. It was fantastic. Unfortunately, the other day we tried making reservations for Labor Day weekend and were told that we were not welcome back at this establishment. My husband and I are polyamorous and the owner of this organization refused to talk to us whatsoever as to what exactly they were upset about. We are 100% positive that they are banning us because of our sexual identity. They are discriminating against us. We were on our best behavior at this resort. There is no reason why they would be banning us for any type of indecent behavior. This organization discriminates against anyone who does not follow "their" standards of normal sexual orientation. We realize and absolutely 110% agree that being a nudist is not a sexual issue whatsoever. We just enjoy being in the sun and relaxing and being in our natural state. While we were there we laid in the sun, had some good food, socialized with a couple of people and kept to ourselves. Without any explanation or warning we were banned from the establishment. It is extremely unfair and we are very hurt, angry, and perplexed. If you are gay, lesbian, transgender, feminist, or polyamorous...I warn you. If management realizes any of this they will ban you immediately. They are corrupt and unwilling to handle issues within their organization. We have contacted management numerous times and they refuse to talk to us. We are good people. We have professional jobs and we know and have behaved ourselves. This is strictly and purely motivated out of discrimination and hatred for people who do not follow their idea of normal societal behavior. Shame on you Whitetail resort!!! Beware folks! What a terrible place to stay. Me and a friend arrived today and I am an army veteran and he is active duty and we were completely insulted by the staff and locals numerous times. I was scolded for having a glass bottle all the way on the outskirts of the pool to then see another guest who was clearly a local drinking in the pool out of a glass wine glass and not one word was said to him. Shortly after a group of locals that were congregating on one end of the pool made very inappropriate comments on my character and I've never seen them a day in my life until today.....its apparent that this place caters to the locals and dont give a damn about anybody else. If you want to feel good about your outsides, go to White Tail Nudist Resort! This family nudist resort has low rates, a full & very active event calendar and a whole lot of really happy friendly people. They have something for everyone with indoor and outdoor salt water pools, sauna, hot tub, workout room/gym, restaurant with patio seating, game room with billiards & old school arcade game, a tv room, library, laundry facilities throughout the grounds, super large banquet hall, playground, volleyball courts, tennis, giant human sized chess and checkers, mini golf and the newest addition - a pétanque course. I can't speak highly enough about the walking trails, dances, camp sites & cabins, bathhouses and outdoor showers... all of it is more than anyone could ask for. This is not a place for swingers or public displays of anything sexual. This is a place that has left me feeling safer than I've ever felt. There's a no camera policy, otherwise I'd share photos of the place. All I can say is go and see for yourself. Go and experience the freedom of being able to be yourself in your skin. Have scars? Everyone else does too. Piercings? There's a lot of those on both men and women. Belly rolls and back fat? You'll be in great company! Grab your favorite glassless beverage, your sunscreen, your sitting towel (aka butt towel- which must go with you everywhere) and your car keys so that you can experience the inner peace you've always been looking for. read more

This place is like junior high. Rumors fly high here. You cant come here and just relax. Members call each other names and hate on each other. They spread vicious rumors and put their nose where it doesnt belong. You cant have any type of privacy among your friends and family. The long time members stare at you and ask personal questions and make you very uncomfortable. Some will try to add you to facebook only to stalk you and find out your personal life. They pretty much stalk you and make false accusations. The owner runs it like a dictatorship and the members are actually afraid of getting banned and losing their places they had spent 60-80k on. It's crazy. Stay away from here. Other resorts are much nicer and the people are much more mature. Dont be fooled by the fake people. read more

This resort is FANTASTIC! I started coming to White Tail about three years ago and the place just keeps getting better. There is a big mix of regulars and newcomers. Lately there have been many younger people coming, which has brought A LOT of new energy into the place. A new 15-room hotel is also being built for guests and should be done by Spring of 2015. On any given weekend you will find VERY friendly people doing everything from pool or sand volleyball, paddleball, corn hole, or any number of active things. Or if you just want to have a cold drink and chill by the pool, this is a great place for that too. The place is very clean and well-maintained. The dance hall is HUGE and a lot of fun on Saturday nights. However, the greatest gift this place has to offer is it's genuinely caring, fun-loving, and generous people. The word "nice" or "friendly" isn't really good enough when it comes to describing these people. It's sort of like going back in time to an era in which people truly cared for and looked out for one another. People here form strong bonds and instill an amazing sense of community. Visitors are always welcomed with open arms at this wholesome, fun resort. I have been to many nudist/naturist resorts and I can honestly say whether you are a life-long nudist or someone interested in exploring social nude recreation for the first time, I would recommend White Tail Resort as one of the best places in the country to do so. read more

Maybe Yelp doesn't like 5 start review? Who knows why earlier reviews have been hidden but in any event White Tail is a great place to visit whether you're a first timer or a veteran to nudist activities. Winter is a great time to visit if you're just looking to try it out because depending on the time of day and time of week you may well be able to enjoy the pool, hot tub, and sauna on your own. The restaurant may not be what some might call 5 star but it's solid comfort food with the occasional creative inspiration thrown in and reasonably priced. One tip for the Winter is that you may want to invest in a long warm robe and warm slippers to make it easier to transition from the lodging to the main recreation and dining area. If that's not enough the staff sports a heapin' helpin' of Southern Hospitality. You won't be disappointed. read more

I have been going to White Tail for about 1 year. The management, members and visitors have always been nice and the facilities kept clean. The resort has activities including a 5K, oyster roast, car shows and numerous other events. As a single male, I have been welcomed as any other guest. The resort is clear on the behavior expectations and I appreciate the standards the maintain. The pools are great for relaxing and the snack bar makes it even better. They even have an open house in the summer to allow first time visitors the opportunity to see the great place they have. They work hard to bring new activities to the resort and they have membership meeting to allow for new ideas. The resort also supports the local community by doing food drives and adopting a highway. read more
