We enjoyed a full hookup site. This campground is in perfect proximity to all three historic spots as well to Busch Gardens which we went to with the two day pass to break up the large amount of history. This all worked out very well. The campground is very nice, and well taken care of. George is the head of maintenance and grounds, and he makes sure that things get done. The grass is cut, the staff will pickup your bagged trash if you set it out on your site by 9am, picnic tables with umbrellas was a nice addition and the gas grill at each campsite makes cooking easier for the campers. Staff will deliver ice and firewood to your campsite. The swimming pool with splash pad was a big hit with the grandchildren and made the choice of staying at this campground easy. They also have an activity building that features things to do like a basketball shooting game, tabletop shuffleboard, a pool table, giant checkers, various board games, and more. There is a laundry room adjacent. There is a kid jumping pillow, playground, hiking trails, disc golf, and lots more. WiFi was good and the grounds are secure. We enjoyed our stay here. The cost per night of our stay seemed a bit high at first sight but with the many amenities the cost smoothed out once on site. A couple negatives I have is that a $10.00 price tag for a small bag of firewood was very disappointing and over the top. Also, we made our reservations early to ensure locking in on the available site of our choice but then were forced to pay an additional $10 fee to guarantee that they didn't move us into a site that would not be our preferences. Even so, we would stay here again if we wanted to spend more time in this area.

The park regularly hosts free concerts and community events, creating a fun atmosphere. There are two large, clean, and well-maintained restroom buildings, along with numerous picnic tables and a couple of grills, making it an excellent spot for a beach cookout or family gathering. Every time I've visited, there has been an ice cream truck parked nearby, and on other occasions I've also seen food trucks offering additional options. There's a small but very nice playground for children, and a sandy boardwalk that leads out toward the beach with beautiful ocean views. One thing I really appreciated was how many restrooms are available throughout the park, so you're never far from one. I also noticed brand-new tennis courts and basketball hoops. The basketball courts are adjacent to the large parking lot, but the lot is so spacious that it never feels crowded. In fact, every time I've come here, there have been hundreds of parking spaces available, making parking incredibly easy. One especially thoughtful feature is the electronic sign at the park entrance, which tells you exactly how many parking spaces are available before you even drive in. Overall, Little Island Park is a clean, well-maintained beach park with excellent facilities, beautiful scenery, and plenty to do, making it one of the best beach parks in the area.

The room, although nice, complete with a fireplace (it's just for show-doesn't get warm) is SO INCREDIBLY DAMP!!. It's disgusting and it stinks like a musty old basement . called to the front desk and they had maintenance bring a commercial dehumidifier (see picture). It's been running for over 24 hours now and thank goodness the room has dried out. The smell still lingers but not as strong. The maintenance guy even said "oh my gosh this is terrible. I feel it and smell it, I'm so sorry!" I rented a cabana overnight and paid at the front desk in the morning. Went downstairs to Check In and was told "I'm sorry all the cabanas are full. Someone made a mistake and didn't reserve yours" I was pissed and my daughter was disappointed. We had a cabana yesterday and wanted another one today. The manager offered an apology and a "free game of bowling or whatever you want." I was also told "I will look into your reservation and see what kind of discount I can give you." Of course I got refunded for the cabana, but no reservation discount. What I wanted was the cabana I reserved and paid for. What I got was a round table, a few chairs, towels and a free locker rental. The gesture was nice but definitely not sufficient. Our table was placed in front of two empty cabanas, although they had someone's name on them by, 4:45 PM no one had showed up for either one. Somehow I doubt they came at 5 PM when the park closes at 8 PM. One of those could've been mine! The internet...it's horrible. Been here 3 days and have been able to access internet probably 2 or 3 times. I have work emails to answer and can't. See pic of the message I keep getting. I tried airplane mode on and off, tried rebooting my iPhone, tried "forgetting the network"...tried everything the front desk staff said to try. $1200 for 3 nights and I can't even access my work email on a regular basis. I was offered a $50 refund on my stay because of this. We'll see if that even shows up. The only way I'm even able to write this review at 1:45am as I lay here in bed, is because it miraculously connected for the moment I don't even care about the $50, I just need the Internet like I get at every hotel that I visit. I swear, it's just been one thing after another here. I cannot wait to get back home. As much as I want to like this GWL location I just don't. I'm really looking forward to visiting Kalahari in November when it opens. P.S. on another note, staff is very friendly and pleasant and the lifeguards do a great job constantly checking the pool for safety.

I was contacted and informed that I was selected to win a gift card and free hotel stay. As the conversation went on, my wife and I said "this sounds a lot like a timeshare." The representative said "Not at all. This is a tour of our facility in hopes that we can spread the word on what a great experience you have." We showed up for our "tour" and it was immediately clear that this was a time share pitch. Lie #1. Honestly, we knew what we were getting into so it wasn't that surprising but it was disappointing that our relationship kicked off with deceit. Throughout the scheduling calls and the time share pitch, we were told there "are absolutely no blackout dates or surprise charges for particular dates." Lie #2. Once we scheduled our "free stay" we were forced to accept Sun-Tues or pay a $100 fee for other dates. We were also not allowed to book in pretty much every month except May/June without another upgrade fee. The tour mentioned some things like "Williamsburg is a huge demand for guests because there are only allowed to be 9 hotels here." Interesting...Booking.com has 30+ options. Lie #3. These are predators that CAN NOT tell the truth. They pigeonhole you by stealing all of your time up front and then BS you over and over again until they squeeze money out of you OR force you to throw in the towel and toss away their "gifts." I would NEVER commit to purchasing ANYTHING with this company because they are simply not trustworthy. Anyone out there on the fence, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
