Nice spot, decent size. The park is full of tall grass and wild flowers. It was pretty busy however, and our dogs get overwhelmed at times.

Token Creek is a huge County park with a campground, disc golf and numerous group shelters for…read morepicnics. It's also dog-friendly with numerous trails through the park (on-leash) along with a fenced in off-leash area. The off-leash area is at the back of the park (if you enter off of 151) so keep driving back, back, back until you get to it. There is a perimeter trail that follows the fence line which is your best hope for some shade as the rest of the park is primarily prairie and sunny. You can do loops circling the whole park or cut through the middle (over a slight hill) to make your loop shorter. It's maybe 15 -20 minutes if you're doing the full perimeter loop. There also is a separate puppy / small dog area which is nice. This area offers some agility equipment but unfortunately that's not accessible to the rest of us! It's similar to other County/City parks, there are bags for poop pick-up but no running water so bring your own. There also weren't a lot of people at this park so if you're looking for fewer folks, this may be your spot. If you want a lot of canine company, you may be better off at nearby Sycamore Park. Overall, it's a great option if you're passing through town as it's right off the highway.

The park has a couple small forests, one of which reminds me of the Blair Witch Project- it's got these tents made out of fallen branches and sticks from the park- super creepy vibe if you're there when it's gloomy or dark out. The small dog section has these dog agility course which are great for training. This is definitely one of my favorite parks to go to!

By far this is my favorite dog park in Madison. My dog loves coming here everyday. I enjoy the…read morenature, the water, and the large area there is for my dog to run around in. Unlike most Madison dog parks, this park is large enough that it can accommodate dogs of any size. I have a particularly large dog, so other dog parks have been hard for him to have enough room to run around in. All the owners I've met are super friendly and understanding if a dog is having a rough day or needs some space. Owners are conscious on their efforts to keep the park clean and abide by the rules to pick up when needed. This park has two docks which are big favorites for pups. They even have two docks by the side of the docks for dogs that are scared to jump right in. Mine likes to soak in the water and feels most comfortable sitting there. Dane County dog parks truly take care of their parks and offer trash bags to dog owners so that owners don't have to bring their own. They also offer a lot of information for dog owners and give passes for owners for a cheap expense. I believe a one year pass is around $30-$35. This dog park also is open YEAR round unlike some of the inner city parks that close when it gets too snowy or muddy. I can't wait to take my pup back!

There are a few piers with ramps for the dogs to walk in and out of the water easily! We did not think it was taking very long to get around the perimeter of the park, but a full lap took us about 45 min. of course allowing our dog to track and run around like crazy. Lol Plenty of space to spread out, but not so large that your dog does not get to socialize.
