Upon arrival at 9pm (we drove from South Florida) the last thing I wanted to do was make beds. In the morning I realized that the house wasn't actually cleaned after prior guests. Dining table was filthy. Dried up stickiness that I scrubbed off. The floor was sticky and sandy, the bathrooms weren't cleaned, the carpets are filthy (in this day and age, who has carpet in a beach house?) A pair of women's panties left in laundry area, fan blades super dusty, bathroom rug was dirty. Prior guests garbage in bins but smelled like dead fish. For 3 days we had to pass this stench. After garbage was collected, we had to bleach out the bins. A kids sippy cup was in a kitchen cupboard with some juice still in it. For the first time in my life, I had to strip all the beds, collect all towels and leave it all by the front door. I'm on vacation, I don't want to make beds on arrival nor strip them when I leave. I tried my best to clean up as much as possible because I don't want the next set of guests to clean up my mess. I was so grossed out, I put paper towels on the chair to sit on. I wore my shoes in the house, I washed everything I could. I contacted Sun Realty about the situation and all they did was refund my cleaning deposit. No, I'd also like you to send out your cleaning crew and actually clean the house. What they do is pop in, collect dirty linens and toss rolled up sheets into each room, leave a bag of towels, lock up and go "clean" next house. It was never cleaned. Gross. Not using sun realty again.

For the past few years a few of us have rented a house in OBX. This year we decided to try a different real estate company. They were very pleasant and answered all of our questions and even searched for houses in Carova for us. The distance on the beach was a big concern for us but they never gave us a hard time for asking how far down a house was on the beach. They were very accommodating and let us pick up the key early so we didn't have to wait 1 1/2 hours. We were able to get into our house about 30 minutes early than our contracted time. The house was very well maintained and taken care of, especially for it being in the beginning of the season. We rented CV-16. It has a bathroom in every bedroom and even a half bath on the top floor near the kitchen and dining room. There is a pool, jacuzzi and game room. I'm not sure if it's just this house or all of the Sun Reality homes but everything is labeled nice and neatly in the kitchen. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them in the future.

Dirty, Broken Furniture, Ceiling Leaks, Musty Smell, Cockroaches On arrival, the place was filthy and not maintained. It was infested with cockroaches, floors and decks were sandy and littered with dead bugs and cigarette butts, kitchen drawers were full of crumbs, live worms and roach droppings, the stove hood was greasy and used coffee grinds sat in the coffee maker. A futon, dining room chairs and a lamp were broken and unusable, and a nail pop at the top of the stairs nearly punctured someone's foot. Unbelievably, that's not the worst of it. There are active water leaks on every level of the house. Ceilings are water stained and paint and plaster fall off on you as you sit below it. Within a few days, 5 of 7 adults were struggling with must / mold allergies, sore throats, sinus drainage and severe coughing when in the house. One ended up in urgent care for treatment of allergy-induced bronchitis. We all felt better when we were on the beach and immediately got worse when we returned to the house. We reported all this to Sun Realty early in the week, but all they did was send out an exterminator and pulled out the popped nail, which resulted in the entire piece of flooring falling off altogether, so now it's a trip hazard at the very top of a stairwell. Sun promised a refund of cleaning fees, but that hasn't happened. Before posting this, we reached out 3 times to Sun Realty to give them a chance to respond. They never bothered. Save your health, your money, and your vacation. Skip Sun Realty and Crown Royale (CP78) at 785 Kings Grant Drive, Corolla.

Boy do I have a review for you. Rented Angels Retreat 18 out for a week for my wife and I to have our wedding ceremony and to celebrate with our close family and friends for a reasonable price ($5000). Was told we could check in at 5pm, we showed up in Corolla around 130pm due to breezing through traffic on I-95 from NY. Buzzed by the house after grabbing lunch and the cleaners were there at the house around 2pm. Say around 3pm, the cleaners left and never returned. We were not able to check in until 505pm. We check in and the place is ABYSMAL. Cob webs, sand on the floor in every room, dust, bugs. All part of the welcome committee. After two days of dealing with it and settling in, I trekked just down the street to the office and met with Stephanie Kelley, an assistant manager for the company. Brought her a lengthy list of issues (in the pictures). You know it's bad when while she's writing down all of the issues she says something along the lines of "oh, crap" and "wow they left early" about the cleaners. After giving her my list of issues calmly, she promised to refund the cleaning fee and give an additional cleaning fee back (200+200). This is where it gets good. We had to request towels since we didn't even have enough for each room and bedding for beds since some king beds had no blankets and the bunks weren't even made. And the ones that were made were simply made with the sand from the prior guests so my 2 year old daughter slept on top of the blankets with her own so she wouldn't sleep in sand. The cleaners did bring blankets and towels, however were rude to a guest in the house and threw everything onto the porch and left the bag of towels ON THE PORCH WITH THE BUGS. The cleaners were also requested to come re-clean the house to take care of the sand and how dirty the floors were making peoples feet black. This interaction left a terrible taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively. I greeted them at the door after they were an entire say later than previously agreed upon. The cleaners then informed me they could do nothing about the messes outside like broken glass and cob webs since they only take care of the inside of the house. They then proceeded to not sweep at all but instead use a vacuum against the sand on the floor (which does nothing) and then go over the floor with a spray bottle of diluted bleach and a single squeegee/mop. No bucket, no broom, no real cleaning. To make a point, I followed behind the lady with the vacuum when it came to my room and simply swept the corners with a broom and pulled a whole pile of sand. She thought I got behind the furniture when I simply just cleaned the room.... Properly. In post, rent elsewhere. They're garbage, their houses are trashed, your money deserves to be elsewhere and to refund only $400 against the $5000 I paid is laughable. Do better Sun Realty.

Rented Angel's Allure pi3 though Sun Reality, Corolla, NC. This house is now listed with Shoreline OBX Under the name of Treasured Times Sun to Sun pi3. This house was misrepresented. The pictures were totally inaccurate. The house was dirty. Shower curtains moldy, living room furniture and rugs had to be steamed cleaned, dog hair everywhere, air filtersclogged and needed to be changed, lawn furniture broken, no garbage cans.....etc. it took days of people coming to clean and repair. I have plenty of pictures to verify. Real Estate stated it should not have been rented in this condition. It was just purchased by new owners. Real estate said, they were in contact with owner to compensate us. They have not returned our calls. We rented 7/17/2021. Please beware if you have it booked.

Sun Realty OBX Review We Stayed at the Sun of a Beach Property in Avon from 10/3-10/10- Upon arriving at the home we found it to be filthy, the dishwasher not in service, the master toilet clogged, the kitchen sink draining slowly and blender broken (back to the store we go). The following morning we received a call from the office to see how everything was. I informed them of the dishwasher & toilet issue and was told they would report it and get it taken care of. I didn't mention the filth as this was my girlfriend's reservation who also happens to have just gone blind recently and didn't want her to be mad that she couldn't see it nor feel bad about the situation (as she has had allot on her plate) later that day an older gentleman showed up and proceeded to try to unclog the toilet while also splattering feces all over the wall and towel hanging near by. He then came up stairs and said the kitchen sink had debris in it and needs to be cleared (though I'm pretty handy enough to understand that and already tried- the clog is lower dude.) He said another company would need to come out for the dishwasher which I completely understand especially considering it was a Sunday-which I also understand being in the service industry. Didn't hear anything Monday so by Tuesday we decided to call again it's then that I mentioned the house being dirty and no-one showing up for the dishwasher. Possibly not a huge issue with say 2 people however we had 7 (including 5 kids.) I believe it was Wednesday morning when another tech called to make sure it was ok to head by. He was very professional and informative. He fixed the toilet rather quickly and tried to fix anything & everything we mentioned while being very apologetic for the issues. He also cleaned up the feces left by the other guy (though he cut up & used the bath towel, but I guess it did have feces on it also). Later, I tried to vacuum only to find that not 1 but the 2 vacuums there were also broken. Mid week my daughter wanted to take a bath but I had to remind her that there was black mold around the tub & jets. I rubbed it to see if it would come off and well it did pretty easy but thought this is our vacation and this is not my job so I had to let her down. I feel with everything happening in the world today companies should at the very least be keeping up on cleaning. Shows ok in pics but clearly needs to be renovated. Old kitchen cabinets, counters and all kitchen accessories/utensils look like the were pieced together from a thrift store. Lets just sum it up by saying they never sent another cleaning crew and the dishwasher was never repaired before we left 7 days later.

We rented Quay Bueno through Sun Realty. The entire experience was wonderful! Sun Realty was so helpful and organized. The home, which is pet friendly was very clean and well equipped. The house is perfect for a large family, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms! Because it was the "off season" many restaurants we're closed. Having a fully equipped kitchen was great!!! Although it was January, the temps were perfect (70°) and we were on the beach! The home was equipped with a wonderful outdoor shower/bathroom which really helped when coming off the beach! As regular visitors to the OBX, we can honestly say that our experience with Sun Realty and our stay at Quay Bueno was second to none!!!

We recently stayed at Memory Daze SWB-34 and rented through Sun Realty, and the experience with their customer service (and the condition of the property when we arrived) was horrible. We knew going down that the weather was going to be overcast and in the 60's or 70's everyday, so we specifically rented a house with a pool heater. We were told about 1 hour before arriving in the Outer Banks area that the pool heater was not functional, and when pressed, the initial customer service representative with Sun Realty blamed the owner and said they didn't want to pay to fix it as they were selling the home. We asked to speak with a manager - Lloyd - , and after giving us a similar "you're screwed" explanation, asked to be transferred to a new property or have the pool fixed. He said he'd call us back, and 30 minutes later called back saying it be fixed on Tuesday. When we hadn't seen anyone by Tuesday afternoon we called again and spoke with a customer service rep. that said it would be today (Tuesday) or Wednesday, and that shipping was delayed, but that they had the part (?). No one showed up, so we called again on Thursday, and got Lloyd again, who said it couldn't be fixed, that they didn't have the part (?), and that we'd be refunded the $600 on the pool heat. Naturally, based on conversation 1, we feel as though Sun Realty was stringing us along the entire time. No way to prove it, but just a hunch. The property location was great, but the home itself was in horrible condition. The listing photos must be several years old, and this was a total bait and switch on Sun's part. The exterior paint on the home was chipping and peeling off everywhere, white trim along the roof line was missing, and the wood decking was water logged, rotting, and unsafe. Many of the railing slats would flap in the wind because the nails had rusted through. All exterior furniture except the living room deck, and pool furniture (the only one's in the listing photos) were Big Lots style white plastic. The exterior also included two rusted out gas grills that didn't hold heat, and were trash, and a rusted out exercise bike (?). The pool lighting was hanging and/or not working, and while the hot tub did work, only 1/4 of the jets worked. The interior was in better shape, but we encountered several mushrooms in the carpeting around the top floor sliding glass doors, the wood flooring had recently been replaced by either a "sweat equity" project, or by some unskilled laborer, as you could see subfloor between slats were boards had been mislaid, they used some sort of corner molding on the stairs that scrape the back of your feet when you walked down them, and the rooms that did have transitions had them screwed in the black flat head screws. There were dishes still in the dish washer, and a pair of swim trunks in the clothes washer, that I guess the cleaning crews decided not to check. All of the water in the home came out brown and smelled sulfuric, so we had to purchase bottled water for everything we were going to drink or put in our mouth. The front door deadbolt was not lockable from the outside, only the door knob; however, you could unlock the door knob with a any key, stick, pocket knife, or fingernail you had handy. Luckily, we could operate the dead bolt from inside the home. Finally, the large flat screen TV in the game room looks to have had a pool ball thrown at it. It was crack and 2/3's of the screen was blacked out. Several of the problems above were e-mailed to the Sun Realty maintenance team on our 2nd follow up to the status of the pool heater. We never received a follow up by them, but they apparently got the message as they randomly sent out a person to replace the TV (called us when he was on property and trying to get in the home, and we didn't have reception), and they sent out a carpenter to do some patch work on the decking - he was able to replace a couple boards on the stairs up to the front door, part of one board on the back deck, and secure some of the other deck boards with screws, but that's it. I mention all of these property specific complaints because it show's an overall lack of quality control by Sun Realty. Given the time of year of the stay, I'm sure we were the first people in the home, and there was no inspection of the property prior to our arrival. The fact that the home is allowed to be in this shape this early in the season, and that it seems like the owner decides what's getting fixed is astonishing. The contract we signed was with Sun Realty, and the contract specifically states that maintenance repairs will be made; however, it seems as though we were just being strung along until it was too late, given the initial response to our pool heat conversations. We've been going to the Outer Banks for well over a decade, and staying the 4x4 area for the past 5 years, so I understand wear and tear on a beach rental. However, this home was a disaster.

My pregnant daughter and her husband decided to rent a beach house from Sun Realty on Sept 18, 2021. Upon arriving at the rental, they found the house in poor shape and unclean. There was black dust on the air vents, the paint was peeling on the walls, the plumbing fixtures had corrosion on them, and - most disturbingly- there was an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew in the house. Concerned for her health, my daughter and her husband contacted Sun. The lady there tersely told they they could neither have a refund or have another home. She sent a cleaning lady who instead protested that the house was clean when it obviously was not. Rather than stay, they had to book a hotel room. Sun claimed that they would list the house immediately, and if rented would pay my daughter a partial refund. Instead of immediately posting the rental, they instead posted later in the week. This resulted in my daughter losing the entirety of her rental payment. My daughter and her husband decided to return home rather than risk staying in a home where mold and mildew might cause health concerns. As a result of Sun's poor oversight of their rental properties, my daughter had her vacation ruined and lost the money they had paid for the rental. I highly recommend that anyone doing business with Sun check their property out on arrival BEFORE paying them.

This review concerns the Watersedge (PH-4) location, property of Sun Realty. This review was not allowed to be posted because (their words) "the review of the home you have submitted does not meet the guidelines to be posted". In other words, it wasn't a 4 or 5 star rating! This house photographs well. Don't be fooled by pretty pictures. It is in need of a lot of maintenance and TLC. Vents and baseboards are dusty, furniture is rickety or broken, leather is torn on couch. It is drab, boring and has no personality. The worst thing about this house is Sun Realty. Their 'policy' is to NOT provide paper towels, dish/dishwasher detergent, hand soap in kitchen, fly swatter or garbage bags in kitchen can. When we called the office, we were told we were required to put our garbage in bags and we would have to drive to town to get them. NOT HAPPENING! Bath towels, wash rags and 1 dish towel were in a bag on the counter. We were told it was because of Covid. Apparently, it is OK to touch our sheets and pillowcases but not the towels. If they had opened the bag they would have found how stiff and scratchy they were. There were no hand towels or dish rags included (we had to use the face clothes to wash dishes, napkins, wipe up spills, wash our face and swat the plentiful flies). There are only four blankets for the 9 beds, 3 of which should be thrown out. There are no extra pillowcases for the extra pillows, or extra sheets. NOTICE: it is very dangerous to try to sit down by the ocean edge. Traffic on the beach road is continuous, fast and all over the "road". Sun Realty: I hope you treat guests in your own home better than you treat the guests in your rentals. You may have saved $10 on supplies, but you didn't save us as a customer. We will NOT be back! We believe others deserve to know what they are getting, or not getting, and Sun Realty needs to show all reviews, not just the 'good ones'.
We stayed in the home called Tequila Sunrise (WHL-805) the week of Labor Day for just shy of $9K after the fees. We were so very excited to stay at this home again after being married here in 2007 and staying two times previously. Unfortunately, within a couple hours of arrival, the house caught on fire. One outlet went up in flames, another burned inside the wall. We called the fire department and also the rental agency. Thankfully the fire department was easier to get a hold of - I kept getting punted to voicemail for Sun until about an hour later they closed and I was able to go through to their emergency line. LONG story short: Sun did send out an electrician that night but were kind of wishy washy if they were going to. Thank god they did bc the electrician found another outlet that had obviously been on fire upstairs. The downstairs outlet went up in flames when (unknown to those of us outside cleaning/watching kids in pool) one of the people staying there noticed power was out in half the house and flipped the breaker that was tripped which is when the fire started. What's scary is that the breaker didn't trip again - we had to manually turn it back off. It never tripped for the one upstairs. Needless to say, we all slept with one eye open that week after this. Over the week there were numerous safety concerns: a board not nailed down on the stairs to the beach that flipped up and nearly dumped someone about 10' down to the beach, quite a few wasp nests, a defective smoke alarm that didn't stop chirping despite batteries being changed, tripped GFI outlets outside that weren't replaced/addressed, loose outlets that caused the lights to flicker/surge, switches that were glitchy due to water leaking on them from the front window... it's so much that I literally forget everything that was wrong. Then there was just the annoying/cosmetic things like fire ants in the dining room, a toilet turned off, two water bubbles in the ceiling causing paint to flake off in one room, and the house was definitely not cleaned before we arrived (the kitchen was sticky everywhere, towels left in the washer, floor sandy and dirty etc)., most of the rooms didn't have screens for the windows and some of the rooms were missing screens for the sliders, a few of the sliders were impossible to open... again, I could go on but you get the gist. Sun did send maintenance out to fix most of the problems but it did impact our trip constantly having to make literal lists of all the issues and be waiting at the house to walk them through what was wrong because often they didn't have an idea of what the problem of the day was. This was beyond the normal "tired" home at the end of the season or high expectations not being met. I've been coming to the OBX for 40 years and this home in particular for 20. I know that oceanfront homes especially get worn quickly, that at the end of the season things are a bit beat up and that sometimes stuff is sticky. In my 40 years of renting I've NEVER had to call a realty company for anything - this is not how I normally roll. If the house is dirty, I clean it. If things are missing I can live without, I ignore it. You can't ignore safety issues like this, especially when people recently died in a fire in the OBX. We were told we couldn't be moved which we understood due to the lack of inventory but I think it's fair that we get some partial refund but there's been silence on that end. If you are looking to rent Tequila Sunrise in Whalehead Beach, I would ask for current photos before making the booking. It pains me to warn others but what we encountered was beyond cosmetic issues. read more

If you are looking for a trip to the Outer Banks...avoid 10-42 317-D. I can't speak for any other properties in Sun Realty's portfolio but book at your own risk. UPDATE: I tried to handle this matter privately but was unsuccessful. Sun Realty has since removed my negative feedback shared on their website listing and on Facebook. They should really be investigated by the Better Business Bureau or whatever association oversees realtors in North Carolina for their blatant inaccuracies in their online listings and negligence on property maintenance. At first, everything appeared to be great, but COCKROACHES and other serious issues became apparent: - Ants were everywhere. On the counters, in the beds, on the floors. We were picking them off of us the entire week and we had to throw out much of our food despite how tightly we tied the bags. - COCKROACHES. And no...they weren't water bugs. We saw at least 1 cockroach on each floor. This is completely unacceptable. - Broken light on the 2nd level deck and there were other various lights that did not turn on. - Broken chairs were present on the deck, in the kitchen, and in the living room. - Disgusting mold on the curtain in the top floor shower. - The 1st floor toilet did not work at all. It flushed...but doesn't drained. We spent plenty of time trying to plunge it to no avail. - Kitchen corner cabinet hinge is broken. Other cabinets at paint chipping off. - Not sure what was going on with the "deck" around the pool. There was a layer of fabric over what appears to be green putting green material that a couple people almost tripped over. - Hammock chain was almost rusted through. For the money we paid for the house...we expected more. At the very least, we expected not to have to consistently kill ANTS AND COCKROACHES. Even worse...Sun Realty was dismissive after I called on our second day there and never sent anyone out to fix the situation. After emailing the owner and Sun Realty there was not even an apology offered. read more

BEWARE THIS HOUSE IS CALLED SANDY TOES WHL-11 AND WE YET HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE OR ANY MAINTENANCE AND ITS TUESDAY BEEN HERE SINCE SATURDAY! VERY RUN DOWN! Hi Melinda, We just sent you several of the photos taken of the house. - Hot tub was dirty - we found the cover broken and shredded in the closet outside. My brother and father got shocked when putting their hands in the water. We called the realty company about this and was told this was 'normal' however when we called the fire department shortly after to report this they told us nothing about this was 'normal' and it's a safety issue that the hot tub is not grounded and noone should get in. We called your office again to complain with this information and a gentleman spoke with my father and agreed this wasn't normal and said he was going to report to the hot tub service and they'd bring us a mat - we have still yet to receive any mat and this seems like a very big safety issue for us as we have several small children here - Pool water was low, we asked for it to be cleaned and serviced again with chemicals along with the hot tub but nothing has been done - we were told someone wouldn't come until Wednesday - The photos attached also include dirty house, bathrooms, kitchen, appliances/dishes. We had to scrub the bathrooms and counters as they were full of hair, very dirty with stains. - The floors were not cleaned, after walking for 15-20 minutes barefoot, everyone's feet were black and filthy - My 12 year old son and 10 year old nephew found several rusty old nails on the deck - picture attached; if someone were to step on these they'd be hurt and could get infected - There were no sheets on the beds when we arrived, we had to call housekeeping for sheets - We had to call to get a useable grill Overall for $8,000 there just seems to be no upkeep of this house and no care, it's not cleaned very well and our family shouldn't have had to clean the house prior to living in it for the week. Let alone navigating all of the safety issues that are included. We'd appreciate someone's prompt attention and response to this. We've rented many houses over the years and this is our first experience with Sun Realty and for the price we paid are very disappointed. The fact that we checked in on a Saturday and noone will be by to even look at the pool or hot tub until Wednesday is unacceptable. With this being a holiday week, we do not have anywhere else we can stay and would expect something to be done. Thanks, Heather Goodwin - Cheryl Albert, Bob Albert read more

They're garbage, their houses are trashed, your money deserves to be elsewhere and to refund only $400 against the $5000 I paid is laughable. Do better Sun Realty. read more

Please beware if you have it booked. read more

We recently vacationed at a property in the Outer Banks that was managed by Sun Realty company. There were many issues with property and we reached out nothing was resolved. The house cleaning was at most, a 3 out of 10. The house didn't have that "just cleaned" small when you walk in. The floors were dusty, light fixtures in the kitchen had caked on dust on them. The upper deck railing was not sturdy, and made me nervous, especially with small children. The house had a family of 5-6 raccoons living on the property. They were not afraid of people, and we saw them all hours of the day and night. There was raccoon feces on the outside stairs, on the deck, also in the pool. They would also run after the kids on the deck. We called animal control, never received a call back. Also called the property manager and was informed they didn't know about the raccoons living on their property, yet the pool cleaners had said that the renters the week prior to us, complained. Have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for over 15 years. Will not use Sun Realty again. read more

Lets just sum it up by saying they never sent another cleaning crew and the dishwasher was never repaired before we left 7 days later. read more

The place we stayed was nothing like the pictures. Pictures off the wall, light bulbs missing, blinds broken, other blinds hung by duck tape, carpet was stained EVERYWHERE, rips and stains on the mattress, one bed had broken legs and was sideways, 7 screens on the "screened in porch" were ripped and flapping in the breeze, smoke detectors missing, I can go on and on. Talked to sun realty before we even checked in to express concerns they said no problem it would be taken care of. I called Monday And they said they would fix it or compensate. Wednesday they finally came to fix the smoke alarm. (Half way through the stay!) I though that was a major safety concern but they didn't care. I tried to talk to them checking out and they then took back compensation for the issues. I left an internal review 2 weeks ago and never heard back. Avoid! Stay Away! read more

So here we go. And before I say anything just know that sun realty will remove any negative comments you post on their site about the house you're in. I've rented with sun 3 times now and this will be the last. Complaining does absolutely nothing. Arrived Saturday Eve after I was told at 1pm the house is ready. We got here and this house is absolutely DISGUSTING. 5100.00 for this dump. The pool looked like it hasn't been cleaned in a year. The sliding glass doors (which hardly work) were so greasy and dirty you couldn't see through them. Dead bugs up and down the 4 sets of stairs. Broken lamps. Broken light switches, ash trays full of cigarette butts on the porch. Broken glass around the pool area and trash. Very little accommodations for cooking. Hardly any utensils or pots. Broken stove drawer. I could go on and on but you get the idea. Called Saturday immediately to complain, no answer on either line including the emergency line. Emailed and got no response until Sunday when they sent 2 kids to vacuum and a guy to clean the pool. Very disappointed in the service for the price I paid. Never again will I rent from sun. Way overpriced. 300 dollars for sheets and comforters. 160 dollar cleaning fee and I did all the cleaning when I got here. Don't waste your money. Go with someone else. Also- the bathroom has a jacuzzi tub which when we turned it on black disgusting stuff came out of the jets and we couldn't even use it. The women wouldn't get in and either would I. Absolutely disgusting. UPDATE - IVE LEFT A REVIEW ON THE HOUSE WE STAYED IN AND THEY WILL NOT POST IT. As regular visitors to the OBX, we can honestly say that our experience with Sun Realty and our stay at Quay Bueno was second to none!!! read more

However, this home was a disaster. read more

I highly recommend that anyone doing business with Sun check their property out on arrival BEFORE paying them. read more

I would not rent from Sun Realty. There are other rental agencies on the OBX that are much more professional and customer friendly. I know this because we just rented a house with Sun Realty and were told at 3pm the day of check-in, which is at 4pm, that the house was unavailable. They offered us alternative houses, but for me, I spend hours looking at available houses before I choose one and then after spending thousands of dollars to rent it, not having it be available is a pretty big deal. On top of that no concession was made to us in terms of compensating us for our trouble. If it was my company, on top of calling much earlier than 1 hour before check in, I would definitely offer a refund of some sort to make up for the incredible inconvenience, disappointment and disruption they caused. The house we chose ended up being through Twiddy as Sun Realty didn't have any houses available that were anywhere near comparable to what we originally rented. While the replacement house was still far from comparable to the house we originally rented through Sun Realty, the experience with Twiddy was much better. I would not recommend under any circumstances renting from Sun Realty. read more

we stayed at Haysey Days in Carova Pros: house layout- great for large families, awesome screened in porch, gorgeous views from everywhere especially the hot tub. cons: very dirty. tons of peoples leftover belongings and trash, a rat on the pool deck, cock roach in the bathroom, dirty dishes, water smelled so bad we had to use bottled water for everything, not a single thing was wiped down from previous renters, missing linens, heavily stained pillows Also this house has a million tours come through a day for the horses. We believe others deserve to know what they are getting, or not getting, and Sun Realty needs to show all reviews, not just the 'good ones'. read more

Ceilings are falling down, was very dirty, pet urine stains all over the floors on all 4 levels, fridge was disgusting, shower curtains were NASTY, couches had food on them and nasty, Dishes were dirty, food was on counters, table and coffee tables, floors needed sweeping and moping and carpet needed vacuuming and carpet cleaning. Ceiling fans were NASTY, light fixtures were NASTY, bunk beds were falling apart to the point we couldn't even use one of them, it was falling over and left a hole in the wall, spider webs were hanging from curtains above the sink in kitchen and off light fixtures over island in kitchen. Pool was disgusting!!!! We had to clean it throughly soon as we got here. Dryer knob was stripped but we were able to use it. Door knob fell off of door to I closed porchThe list really goes on and on!!!! I don't like complaining, however, when the company called me asking about our stay i was very honest with the lady and told here about this stuff. It was very clear in her voice and attitude she could care less. It was one of them things where she wanted to send someone out to fix this while we are here on vacation. You cant go to ripping the ceiling down to repair and you cant rip out floor while people are staying here!!! ESP with 7 kids!!! When i made the comment about my kids being in the pool and we didn't want her employees to come in while they were in the pool cause we believe in being modest, she stated they needed to get out and put their clothes on, then she tried to back pedal and say, it was ok as long as they had bathing suites on. I stated we believe in modesty and she bluntly said her employees wasn't coming to look at me.... It was all in her attitude through. We decided after speaking with this lady that it was a waste of time to have told her anything! I called her back and told her not to send anyone out here that we wanted to enjoy what vacation we have! The house was NOT worth the money we spent!!! We have stayed many times over the years, before we came we kept thinking and saying that we've never stayed in something so nice and was excited to get here.... HOWEVER when we got here we quickly realized it was NOT worth the money that we had paid... Over $2000.00 for a rental that's maybe worth $500 for a week.... NO MORE!!! We will have a good time anyways and be thankful we have this time together! But I do recommend some. MAJOR work to be done here and either give cleaning crew a sit down discussion on how to clean or find a better crew. If I was the owner I would be very upset with this SUN reality for how they have handled this. We own our own business ourselves and we are over several vacation rentals. We would NEVER have left this kind of mess for sure! Very DISAPPOINTED!!! read more

I would be very upset if I was a home owner and used this company. We had so many issues from the very start of our rental. The cleaning company they used is terrible. I don't know what they did the whole time they were in the house, but it certainly wasnt cleaning. The floors were filthy, under the beds has clearly NEVER been even looked at. Several "freshly" made beds had sand and broken bracelets parts in them, bug EVERYWHERE. None of the toilet paper or towel racks were on the walls, they were all hanging off. The dishwasher wasn't unloaded from the previous tenant. Apparently we rented a house that is known to flood in a storm. Woke up one morning to several inches of water on the bottom level, took several hours to get a hold of an actual person. When some one did come out, I was told that "it rains" and basically made to feel as though we were overreacting to being so upset about the water in the house and our stuff ruined, having to relocate families with infants to other rooms, which luckily weren't occupied. This real estate company is terrible. Was told we would get some money back for the inconvenience of everything and we have yet to see that. Good luck if you use this company to manage your property or have to deal with them while renting from them. They're terrible. read more

We have been renting houses on the OBX for about 8 years now and have always had really good interactions with realty companies, until we used Sun Realty in Corolla. First off, my brother paid extra $$$ for early check in. When he went to the house at 1:15 (early check in is at 1:00) the maids had just started cleaning the house. One of them told him he had to leave and she knew nothing about early check in. He refused because he had paid for early check in and they had already charged him. He also had his 4 year old daughter with him and they were exhausted after their 12 hour drive from RI. The maids did not clean the house very well, as evidenced by the dead frog we found in the living area. I assume they felt rushed because we were all there and I don't really fault them for it, to be honest. The company said they would refund him his early check in money but he still has not received it nearly 2 weeks after we checked out. We could have dealt with the early check in issue, not a big ordeal...obviously miscommunication, but then there were tons of other little things that the realty company just blew off. Issue number one was that our fridge was leaking badly, so badly that it ruined some of our food. When we told the realty office about it the day after we checked in, they claimed we needed to give it a day to fully cool. Nope...it leaked all week so we had to put cups in the back to catch the water and routinely empty them to avoid spillage. Issue number two was that our pool area was incredibly dirty. There were spiderwebs all over the fence and tons of sand in the pool. You could tell none of the decks/ fencing had been power washed yet this year, which is odd seeing as we stayed at the house during June. We had 3 young kids with us and were afraid they'd get bit by the spiders so we asked them to power wash it. They said they could not authorize that without the owners consent. My brother went to spray it himself with the hose, but the attachment would not fit on the end of the hose because the hose was deformed. To me, this was just unacceptable. I could understand it being dirty if we stayed in April or the beginning of May, but in June? The third issue was that the kitchen was not well stocked with everyday items needed for cooking. There was not a full set of dry measuring cups. There was no colander to drain pasta noodles in. The cutting boards were really small. There was also no type of plastic storage containers either. Again...not a huge ordeal, but when you combine it with everything else, it was just annoying. I wrote a review of our house the day we got back from vacation. I try to do this every year because I find reviews really helpful. I gave it 3 stars and they have yet to put it on their website, so my assumption is that they filter their reviews. I would not trust any review of any house on their site because of this. The one review they had of the house we rented gave it 5 stars and claimed it had a well stocked kitchen. This was not true at all. We loved the location of our house and the floor plan. We loved Corolla, but I would never rent from Sun Realty again. We are not picky people...but when you drop this kind of money to rent a house, you expect the house to be well maintained. read more

We checked into Queen Anne's Revenge II on 09/12, abiding by the late check in time "due to covid" only to find that the house didn't really look clean.....at least not to my standards and certainly not "mandatory $75 cleaning fee" clean. There were large, very noticeable cobwebs out on the screened in porch and a big pile of sand on the picnic table out there and sand all over the floor, the glass on all 3 large sliding glass doors were FILTHY, clearly there had been children there prior to us but no one bothered to clean the finger prints and other filth off the glass after they left! The inside of the microwave was disgusting, food splattered and stuck to it and I found several dead flies on the windowsill. And there was what looked to be balled up clothing under one of the beds and in one of the closets (*pic attached). What sent me over the edge as far as the (non) cleanliness of this house was when I went to put something in the plastic trash can out on the screened it porch, I not only noticed rolled up, dirty diapers in the trash can, but a half smoked cigarette, a lighter and the remainder of a roll of kitchen trash bags behind the can itself! (*pic attached). We also found dirty diapers in the trash can outside in the pool area - that can had not been emptied either. I collected approximately 8 or 10 small children's toys under the furniture, which only means 1 thing...no one bothered to sweep or dust the hard wood floor in the living room. The black TV and TV stand were covered in dust and there were large cobwebs stuck to the ceiling in the living room. There were burnt out light bulbs on the screened in, and in one of the bathrooms (*pic attached) and a pair of men's swim trunks (previous renters) were balled up on the hook in one of the bathrooms (*pic) and no shower curtain liners in either of the bathrooms. Lastly and most importantly, the only smoke detector in the house was hanging out of the wall by the wires with no batteries in it! (*pic) This is all so very unacceptable in general, because most of these complaints could have been prevented by simply practicing VERY BASIC cleaning procedures and in this day and age with Covid-19 running rampant and everyone worrying about cleanliness and germs, I would expect to walk in the house and have it smell of bleach and other cleaning products. ESPECIALLY since you alter the check-in/check-out times to supposedly allow for the extra cleaning time. I read the reviews of the actual house before renting, but never read the reviews on Sun Realty and I wish I had, because after the fact I see so many other reviews that are similar to mine with regard to filthy houses. I don't know if the owner of this house can't get there frequently to check on things and make necessary repairs, etc. but it looked pretty neglected (huge holes in screens, so bad you couldn't open the windows, plastic cups, beer bottles, etc. scattered outside in the yard), (*pics) but you as a property management company aren't doing your job, at all. I will never use your company ever again and I will make sure any & all of my OBX bound friends know as well. It's really a damn shame, too, because that house has the potential to be a great vacation spot, were it under different management. Should truly be ZERO stars!!! read more

House is nice. Pool and hot tub are a plus, however, we've had a bunch of particles floating in our pool since we arrived 2 days ago. Pool obviously wasn't cleaned as it was supposed to be. BOTH of our garbage cans have been OVER full, again, since we arrived here and they smell horrendous!! There was also a pair of used swim trunks left on one of the porches as well as shorts and underwear near the back door. When I walk near my vehicle I feel like I'm staying in the middle of a garbage dump. Numerous calls to Sun Realty company and each time we're told that somebody will be there "today"....Today comes and goes and still the same stench and mess. I WILL NOT recommend this realty company to anybody that I know. TERRIBLE, Terrible service!! If you say you're going to do something...do it!! read more

I recently rented house 343, Roaring 20s, and never have been this disappointed. Sun Realty should be ashamed to include it in its rental program. The house was not cleaned well nor has it been well maintained. Some windows didn't have screens which are essential when there is no central A/C, and there have been no upgrades in many years. Rust throughout and chipped porcelain in the master tub are unacceptable. I will never, never rent from Sun again. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. The house was very outdated, which normally wouldn't bother us, but it was also filthy. The carpets had large stains in every room. One of the bedrooms had obvious water damage on the ceiling and there was a bucket underneath to catch any leaks. The bathroom fixtures were rusted and crusty. There were potato chips all over the floor. Then we saw the roaches. We ended up leaving. We were given a refund, but were left with no place to stay. read more

Our family just returned from our COVID delayed family vacation. We picked Sun Reality's Sound Delight (MS-847). From the website and amenities it was perfect for our family. Pet friendly, Pool, Hot tub and linen and towels provided etc. . Lets just say the property needs some TLC. First there were NO towels anywhere to be found. Second the Direct tv did not work. (even on vacation some TV is fun). Third the lock on the front sliding door was broken off. (Secure? I think not!) Another major thing was one of the cabinets still had potato chips left from a past guest spilled in plain site. I first sent an concern and repair request for the repairs and cleaned the mess our selves. The ceiling fans were also loaded with dirt and grime, that were to high for us to clean. The towels arrived at the front door promptly after speaking to Tracey (agent). The maintenance guy arrived with no mask and came into our rental. Only to leave a stick to stop the door from sliding. Tracey did her best to get Direct tv to fix the issue to no avail. After talking again with Tracey, she assured me, because my son has a compromised immune system, that no other person(s) would come on premises. To no avail another person shows up to service the hot tub, un announced, no mask and just let themselves in. My oldest son then called and complained. We actually lef Friday evening a day early. We had had enough and had lost the will to want to stay and check out at 9:00 am (early because COVID cleaning took more time. After all the things that were not clean are they really doing deep cleaning? When you spend this amount of $$$ you expect satisfactory not perfection. 627-1B Sandfiddler Circle Sun Realty customer service is the WORST. The condo is cute & I am angry that the owners and patrons are being treated so poorly by this gl group. We checked in, & as we readied for bed our 1st evening, we saw they forgot to put sheets on the beds. They put no toilet paper in the bathrooms, nor soap, not towels. I literally pulled back the bedspread & there was a mattress pad. Unsanitary, unsafe, and irresponsible. I called emergency maintenance and they refused to come out and bring sheets, towels, tp. They told me to go out and drive to some bin where housekeepers throw extra sheets In case people want extras, and I might find some there. Crazy! Day 2, they threw a plastic bag of sheets and towels on our doorstep. Still no toilet paper, soap, waste can liners, paper towels. Their service is deplorable. The picture below depicts the previous tenants dirty linens laying outside the door still 3 days later. read more

We recently rented a 4 bedroom house with Sun Realty. The Realty company called and said that we could go ahead and move in because the cleaners had finished. What a mess!! The kitchen and bathrooms were filthy dirty. Good thing we had brought cleaning supplies with us. We found candy wrappers under the fitted sheets and the bed. We will never rent from this company again! read more

If you need to cancel, they will keep your down payment and make no effort to re-rent the property. Buyer beware.

COVID is keeping us away from our planned vacation and this company will not refund anything. They will let us reschedule in the SAME calendar year... but since we were going to staying at the end of December, they wouldn't even give us a few months. What a terrible company! read more

We are renting By The Sea, W-252 in Waves, NC. When we arrived, we found that the house was next to a campground. It wasn't mentioned in the ad or shown in any of the pictures. We expected the house to be in a normal, less populated neighborhood. When we complained, they said there was nothing that they could do to refund us any of what we've paid for a week. I'd recommend not renting from Sun. read more

Invest the time to look for a better realtor to rent from. The house we rented (The Stars #403) has been allowed to go to Davey Jones locker...the best thing for this place is for it to be swept out to sea. Here are but a few of the amenities we enjoyed: *Lots of dirt...no shortage of dust (just when we were beginning to miss our allergies) *Non-functioning hot tub (well, half the jets did work...stirring around 75° water) *A/C went out (We just jumped in the hot tub to cool off) *Loose hand rails around outside decking (safety for our kids is apparently over rated) *Broken, separated and severely out of level concrete around the pool *Broken screen doors, broken fridge doors *And the pièce de résistance: a. Black mold in the showers b. Black mold and dust that was caking the A/C vents Really, it doesn't end there, I could go on but suffice to say, this place is junk. I feel Sun Realty did the minimal to address these problems and they appeared, to me, that their concern was more for the owner than the vacationers. They got their money, the owner got his money...but, that'll be the last they get from us. read more

Do not rent from these people. I am 2 months away from going to the place, due to a multitude of circumstances, need to cancel my plans. They will not issue a refund unless the place is re-booked, and even though unable to go will charge you the full amount. So if they cant find a person to stay at the place and weekend booked, they charge you the entire amount. The agreement is sent after paying up front, not in accordance with North Carolina 42A-10 read more

Wow. Where do I begin? We rented a house in Nags Head this past week of 9/7-9/14/19. Because of Huricane Dorian, we weren't able to check in until Sunday 9/8. Thankfully, we purchased the insurance and will file a claim and be reimbursed for the first day. Upon 12 of us checking in, there were no towels as we arrived at 6p. We called and were told towels would be delivered the next morning. The agent was not very nice and a bit condescending. That next day, the towels WERE delivered. Also, the next day, we discussed grilling one day for lunch. In looking at the gas grill, the grates were disgusting and had not been cleaned in what looked like months! We called the Sun Customer Service number and reported it. No one ever came out to address the issue and we ended up cleaning it ourselves. The week was enjoyable. However, the house wasn't "luxury" by any means...and for $6000.00 a week...there are alot of minor house issues that have been let go and those "minor issues" certainly added up! 1. Various burned out light bulbs in bathroom light bars, outdoor pool area and kichen hanging bar lights. In addition, mismatched bulbs, LED bulbs and fluorescent bulbs used together in lightbars and the kitchen area. 2. Stained bed pillows...absolutely DISGUSTING...and not discovered until a.m. checkout when removing bed linens per checkout policy. This--is completely unacceptable! 3. Frequent outages of the cable TV app on the living room Roku TV. 4. Cheap rattan pool chaise lounges. 5. Sand on floors and in sheets of one bedroom. 6. Two rocking toilet seats not tightened and reattached. 7. A shower head that basically leaked out water versus a steady stream. 8. Dirt scum on the upper stairway hand rail area. 9. Sand in the hot tub and pool. Because of the hurricane we could overlook it, even though neighboring house pools looked fantastic! It would have been nice if Sun would have at least acknowledged the lack of it being cleaned prior to check-in! 10. A broken kichen stool. 11. Living room sectional sofa with two rips in the faux leather. 12. Broken pool bluetooth speakers. 13. Most of the bed mattresses had seen their better day and have been maximized! 14. A huge roach lie dead in one of the bathroom light exhaust fans. That tells me housekeeping must not ever look up. Again, a few of these above issues was not earth shattering. But, add them up, and it's significant, when you're spending $6K for a weekly rental! We could only make two assumptions: *Either the owner of the home doesn't wish to put money back into his investment and just doesn't care! OR *Sun Realty just doesn't care. Most of the issues were housekeeping-related...which, responsibility falls on Sun Realty. So, who knows. All I know is we would never rent from Sun again! read more
Well written review (and funny too... you need to laugh at times) for Angels Retreat 18 here: https://www.yelp.com/user_details_reviews_self?userid=6CpOs_H6XHfEaBrf2F8pAA I just wanted to say a few things in the hopes that the owner, Sun Realty or maybe a future renter will see... Obviously you need to address the issues in the linked review. The worst part of dealing with all the issues was that someone's vacation time was taken away by having to make multiple phone calls and meet with the folks dispatched to fix them. These issues can be checked before a groups arrival... is the WiFi working? Is the septic full? Are there broken chairs? Do all the lights work? Pretty simple to check that. I do want to point out the positives before getting to a few other negatives/suggestions. I enjoyed the location, quiet, short walks to the lighthouse, restaurants and beach. Parking lot is nice a big. Elevator worked out well. Well sized pantry closet too. AC system on the two lower floors worked very well. Suggestions: Make one or two of the rooms two queen sized beds instead of King sized. I have to imagine that this works out better for the majority of groups staying there. Groups with Children or siblings or friends splitting a room. Time to invest in new living room furniture. And yes the mattresses too. Check the AC for the top floor. Negatives: * Parking lot was big but good luck finding your car at night. There is no lighting over there, and most of the exterior lights were not working. Including the main driveway flood light, all the pool floodlights and the back exterior staircase. * The outdoor furniture being broke before we arrived was awful, but how about the fact that there was only one tiny outdoor table and only 3 regular chairs for it. One tiny outdoor table for this enormous house? Not enough at all. * There was a bin with things for the beach. So good right? Nope everything inside was broken. * Two bath towels per room? For real? * The tv remote on the top floor living room did not work properly. * The grills were significantly dirty. * Besides the coffee maker and the blender, there were several kitchen utensils that were broken. * We found a Jell-O shot under our bed. Our group did not make any Jell-O shots. Gross. I think that captures most of what we saw. I know our group will not be using Sun Realty and we will be encouraging others to head to other management groups. I know that issues happen, some in control of others and some that can't be controlled (power loss). Our group faced a lot of issues, how a rep for Sun Realty did not stop by to offer their apology or whatever is unacceptable and cowardly. Face your problems and maybe we aren't inclined to leave bad reviews. I wanted to mention some of the positives, because this house can be pretty amazing. However, my gut feeling is that it will remain mediocre at best. read more

If I could give a zero I would. The outside of the property was disgusting, beer cans, cigarette butts, paint chips and litter were all through the yard. Paying over $4200 for a home where the 'wild horses roam' I would expect a clean yard! I spent 3 hours cleaning up so that my small children and dog didn't eat any trash! I will never again rent from Sun Realty! I sent numerous emails with pictures and phone calls and still no response! read more

There was poop in my shower. While I could stop there, I'll continue. The first floor was practically flooded due to the leakage. There were two power outages. The wifi sucked. The television in the theater room didn't work. The majority of the house was not cleaned properly. read more

We are currently at what is called a little piece of heaven of which is actually a little piece of hell. Sun Realty management named Floyd was useless and not helpful in resolving anything. Upon our arrival on a Saturday afternoon we started off our stay finding the linens we ordered were not here. When we went to look for them we found mouse feces on top of the mattress covers. We did not think to take pictures of that as we cleaned them up ourselves. I called in an order for linens that I had to go back the next morning and pick up myself. My wife spent the first night washing all the bedding that was here before anyone could sleep. My wife and I, three girls 6 to 18, and our son 6 months. The place also has an overwhelming smell of urine so we started looking around. There were mouse bait traps in every room and under the sink. We found mouse feces on the box springs just under the mattresses, in the corners of the rooms by the bed, under the sink, in the kitchen cabinets, on the kitchen countertops, in the pantry on the pot and pan, etc.etc. we did take pictures of all of this. We then found the bed skirts in one of the rooms was stained with dog pee and this place is suppose to a no pets location. Then we noticed dryer sheets stuffed in all of the air vents in the ceilings. We are guessing that is someone's attempt to mask the smell. All th trash can had mouse feces in them as well. We also found that are birds living in the ceiling. At night you can hear them in the ceiling and the mice in the walls. Great vacation. We spent Sunday and Monday back in forth on the phone explaining to Floyd the assistant manager at sun realty what the situation was. In the mean time we had their pest control and their cleanup supervisor out to take a look at and clean up some of the stuff we didn't already clean. We also had to call out a plumber because one of the showers backed up on the first use and black stuff bubbled up out of the drains. The rest of Saturday night and most of Sunday into Monday we spent cleaning this place ourself. Monday we talked with Floyd the assistant manager at sun realty . We explained what was going on and demanded that we should not have to pay for these conditions and something needs done. After going back and forth a while Floyd told me and I quote, " he has not heard of anything like this from any other tenants and is not getting the same story from his pest control guy or his cleaning service supervisor". At his point I realized he was going to do nothing short of the bare minimum if that because he just does not believe us. I explained to him that we didn't walk these people through everything we already cleaned up , just what still needed done. I sent him the pictures of all this , as he requested 10 minutes after ending the call and he wrote me back in apology and called with a whole new tune and attitude because the pictures speak for themselves. At this point is is Monday night and all he had to offer was go home and get a full refund now or move to another house 6 miles down the beach five rows deep in the woods where you can not even see the beach. Floyd said he has nothing else to offer. This location at swb28 A Little Piece of Heaven is simply an awesome location and perfect to have my 6 month old in a pack n play on the deck and watch the kids in the water from the deck. He basically made me have to decide between beach vacation with my family or sanitation standards. He is doing nothing about it and is point . Today is Tuesday . He on behalf of sun realty has not offered anything either. All he said he might do is renegotiate with the owners which might not be but a couple hundred dollars. So we went out today Tuesday and bought Clorox spray , Clorox wipes, electronic rodents deterrents you put in the sockets for every room and wiped down and cleaned everything again. All of our food is being store in coolers , the microwave, the oven, and the fridge. We bought plastic utensils and plates and cups because we are not going to wash all the pots and pans and silverware in the pantry. Don't know what's been on it. Taked to many others that said they should have done a lot more than what we are getting. To the next tenants at swb28 A Little Piece of Heaven. This place has a serious rodent issue in the walls and in the ceiling. They are active now. You should demand better. There is no way they can clear it between the time we leave Saturday morning and you arrive Saturday afternoon. I would rather you know up front what you are walking into and have time make a better choice. read more

We recently stayed at 97-K Flip Flop'n and were extremely disappointed with both the condition of the home and how the situation was handled. For 2.5 days, the air conditioning did not work, leaving us to endure sweltering heat--with four children, including a newborn--in a home that cost us over $5,000 for the week. The AC technician confirmed there was a leak and performed only a temporary fix, which we were grateful for at first. However, we explicitly requested that no further repairs be done until after we left to avoid another disruption to airflow. That request was completely ignored, and the repair was scheduled anyway, prioritizing convenience over our well-being. To make matters worse, the owner's offer of compensation was based on a cold mathematical formula, with no regard for the actual suffering we experienced--sleepless nights, health concerns, and extreme discomfort for a family with small children and a newborn. We appealed for fairer compensation, hoping for some empathy, but were flatly denied. The response was inflexible and lacked any understanding of customer service or basic human decency. This experience was not only uncomfortable but deeply frustrating, and I cannot recommend this property or its management. They completely failed to provide the level of care and responsibility that a rental of this price point demands. Very disappointed and will not return. read more

Terrible shysters!! where to start. Rented beach front house in Corola to arrive to a dump (Laughing Gull P-6). Carpet filed with pet fesces and pee, mold & dirt filled the AC grilles, kitchen floor stapled at the seams, everyone of the the six sliding glass doors broken, missing steps to the lone deck landing, filth everywhere, walls with holes and bad patch job, no screens, flee filled (we had a service dog with us and we paid extra to bring pet), pictures on web site were "BAIT & SWITCH". Health code and safety code issues abound. Next step BBB, Chamber of Commerce, along with any other places that can help others avoid this company. The home was in such disrepair and the disguisting conditions caused us to depart the next morning and go to a REAL realtor, Twiddy, who in turn rented us a wonderful home. Sun Realty terrible!! read more

Rented Pirate's Paradise (54D) 8/3/19 - 8/10/19 and was very dissatisfied. This was the dirtiest rental I have ever experienced. Bathrooms were never cleaned from previous tenant - hair all over, all floors were never vacuumed/mopped, bedspreads on lower level covered in blood as were the walls, and food was on the walls everywhere. We could not use the pool until Monday due to it needing shocking. Shower on lower level did not drain - filled up when showering, and toilet was not attached to the floor. Called office and was told maintenance manager would call - never did. Ceiling fans were gross. Linens did not arrive until after dinner on Saturday. Spent hours cleaning on Saturday. Will never use Sun Realty again. read more
