Upon reaching out to Seashore they dismissed me and told me in so many words "Oh well." They told me a bed bug investigation was done on 10/15 and no bed bugs were seen. After some of our own research and a call to the health department. It was discovered that on 10/15 a bed bug investigation was done by a Western sales representative, not a technician. The sales representative, unqualified, found no bed bugs on 10/15. On 10/29 an email was sent to the CMC Health Department by us; to try and get to the bottom of the situation. On 10/30, a visit from a qualified Western technician and the health department, bed bugs were found. As more information was uncovered it was found that the Western visit on 10/15 was prompted after a woman left and reported bed bug bites as well. Seashore Campground has done nothing to even try and attempt to rectify this situation. They have tried to cover this situation up with lies and avoidance. No one will return our phone calls or emails. We are now concerned the bugs have been brought into our personal home and will be facing a hefty extermination bill if this is the case. This is both negligence on Seashore and Western. Be careful before you book your stay. They aren't taking preventative measures against bed bugs. Only "dealing" with problems as they arise -- and half ass*d at that. The managers are rude and dismissive. They told me they handled this situation with the "Golden Rule" in mind -- treating others as you would like to be treated. I am not sure if constant scratching and bug bites on your face, arms and legs is in the top ten choices of how a person would like to be treated -- but if they had proper hospitality training they would have learned this in their first lesson. Shame on your Sun Outdoors, and honestly Western too. Do better. Cape May County is a small town -- what goes around comes around.

Nearby is a gas station, a grocery store, and a few eateries so the location was very convenient and easy to find. Prices were reasonable and the staff went above and beyond at check in to explain their policies and were readily available to assist with your needs. There is a $20 cash refundable gate pass charge at check in. We were escorted to our site (upon request). They will also lend you their beach passes for a $20 deposit + $3 per day (used or not, in your possession) which is a savings of $2 over getting them at the beach. They have a store, a few wifi spots, and a nicely equipped gym. A koi pond outside the office/store is a nice place to sit and relax. Our site was large and clean and contained a fire pit and picnic table. The soil was sand based and flat which made leveling our trailer easy. We were surprised that our site was full hookup as we were told at time of reservation and at check in moments earlier that sewer was not available. There was also a clean bath house nearby, which could use some signage. The campground had a playground and doggie area - neither of which we used, a large pool with deck, and a snack bar open selectively ajacent to the pool. The pool area had umbrellas, chairs, and loungers as well as a smaller off to side gated area for smaller swimmers. The area surrounding the pool had a small flower garden and was quite pretty. However, the pool was NOT relaxing at all, as the music blared loudly, so much so that I couldn't talk to the person beside me. And the playlist was just awful! I did ask the lifeguard to turn it down (which they did) but it was still loud and annoyed me so much that I left. The pool was open till 4 weekdays, and 7 weekends. The campground was quiet and the staff and campers alike super nice, some of the nicest we've encountered actually. Outside of the beach there wasn't much to do as the season in NJ doesn't really start till July so I regretted not booking later so we could have taken in some activities, so that was a bit of a bummer. I'd stay here again in season. If you want to stay a few times off season ask about their gas saver program. It's worth it!

I'd stay here again, but there needs to be more control over campers with aggressive dogs. The people next to them came to my aid, with their dog in control. I never got a chance to thank them.

Made a reservation in February, paid full value of stay in June. After seeing bad weather day of reservation decided to cancel stay. Understanding policy is there would not be refunds at this point, but asked if the amount paid over the deposit could be returned or used as a deposit for a future visit, as was more than needed to be provided at booking. Expectation being just the deposit would not be refunded. Management called back, citing they do not do refunds and that the delay in paying for the reservation was a rationale for not returning the amount over the deposit value. Didn't seem correlated, they became combative and argumentative in an unprofessional manner escalating a situation that was a simple inquiry as to whether anything accommodating could be done. Just a simple warning don't pay more than the deposit as management will take your money and be angry if you ask for any of it back.

The mini golf course was recently painted to look better but is a safety hazard for any who attempt to play. I fell through the wood on one of the holes and that definitely wasn't fixed just covered. The laundry on site is a fire waiting to happen. I'm pretty sure the dryer ducts have never been cleaned and there is lint everywhere. In the back of the park there is a small pond near the tent sites that creates a nice view and some catch and release fishing but the water is very dirty. I actually ordered an E-Coli/Coliform test kit and turned the positive results into park management. Even after a community meeting no one was informed and nothing was done to prevent anyone from playing in it. A couple of kids got stuck in the mud the next weekend. (Picture of the test results attached) The people camping in this campground are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met. They are always there to help if you need a hand and try to look out for each other the best they can. (Most are seasonal and only there on weekends) They have a great time with anyone who wants to hang out and on most weekends you can expect good music from DJ Dirt Patch (Chris). The park employees seem to have no clue how an rv park works. You can expect to not get the site you booked. Ever. They were always trying to put big campers in little spots or small campers in big spots and had no method to their madness. For a while they allowed a large group of homeless people to stay in tents even after they were caught stealing wood from a seasonal site by seasonal residents. Our billing got messed up and even though it was an easy fix it almost got us charged double. For stays over 30 days electric is metered and charged at $0.21/kwhr even though that's way higher than the rate the power company supplying the area charges. I've been told this is illegal for them to charge extra but haven't verified it myself. Your meter reading also doesn't include start and end readings just a number they say you used. Basic maintenance goes undone. Septic is constantly a problem, there are small tanks on each site and sometimes 2-3 sites for one tank. These are always overflowing spilling waste water all over the ground. Security is a terrible joke. One person driving around on a golf cart or in a truck a couple times a night then leaves early. During our stay multiple campers were broken into, damaged (locks busted out, outside storage bins dented and broken, etc.) and lots people missing items stolen from their sites. My biggest issue with this park was how quick excuses were made to why things weren't taken care of. "My hands are tied by corporate" "we're doing all we can" "it's just not in the budget" etc. When you did have an issue management was often working from home and not on the premises causing you to have to deal with a lady named patty. Patty seemed to always have a chip on her shoulder and was never pleasant to deal with. Most of the campers we talked to have had multiple issues with her alone. She was often throwing a fit, being vindictive, or just down right rude. Rules didn't apply to her or her family (who all have seasonal campsites here) but for people she didn't like she would go out of her way to enforce rules that weren't even broken or even make up new ones. It often seemed that even though she wasn't a manager she was pulling the strings and making all the decisions behind managements back. There is no doubt she is the root of all evil in this campground and the reason behind most of the drama. If you're looking for a safe park for your family to enjoy a weekend out this is not the place. I would save yourself the headache and go ANYWHERE else but here.

Goose poop covers the walk ways surrounding the bathroom/laundry facilities and the poor white geese look beyond sick. Staff feed them regularly right outside the facilities so they never leave. When I was doing laundry I noticed a smell, and a quick look behind the dryers explains it, fire hazard waiting to happen. Staff are never too quick to fill your request, unless it's an overflowing septic tank, in which case they hose it down and call it good. Also don't expect help backing your rig in unless you want them to quite you into a tree that rips your awning off(we watched this happen with a fellow camper who we then helped). We stayed for less than two months and if it hadn't been for the friendly campers on one half of the campground we would have been out after the first week. Do yourself a favor and a pay a few more dollars to stay at one of the many other campgrounds in the area.

Thanks for stepping up for us and pressuring the owner and his agent. You did much more than most…read more Unfortunately to no avail. So the 2 car garage door has been broken for months before our arrival, Carlos, an employee of the owner, confirmed this. The owner agent, Lisa?, said a replacement was on backorder because it was a special. I call BS on that !!!! I called a local garage door company and for $3500, a new 12X7 with windows, door and opener could have been installed in 2 weeks Another former tenant, lets call her "Sally", who stayed there 3 weeks before us also said they complained about the garage door to deaf ears at F&D. They weren't happy with the response which was none. you did your best which was pretty good in advocating for us but frankly financial penalties must be put in place to protect the tenant. I paid too much for this place and wasted too much of my valuable time to get problems fixed. This owner knew for a long time of all these issues mentioned here and below. He has little incentive to fix the property to the standard he advertised. So what incentive can be put in place. "Sally" also complained about the TV's, only 2 TV's working of 5 TV's in the house. Sally got deaf ears again. Obviously several weeks after her departure we encountered the same unresolved issues. So to my complaint to F&D's, you got some partial results. Thank you for that but I still feel as though I wasted a lot of time and spent money on a substandard rental. What was promised was never delivered. The owner responded 4 days into our vacation and brought in two new ROKU TV's that Carlos really didn't know how to connect. I assisted him to get the internet connected so all 5 tv's as advertised would connect to the internet. He did not connect the cable TV service. He did not know how. I wasted enough time just helping him get the ROKU TV's to work. So at least 2 TV's still are not connected to the advertised cable service. One TV still is missing a ROKU remote. Lisa and her maintenance guy were unable to fix the shower stall. But Carlos put on a bandaid that allowed the shower door to slide as intended for two days. 2 day's later it was dragging again. The owner is CHEAP. He puts bandaids on everything rather that fixing things properly. We were having dinner on the nice back porch. However when it started raining, the skylight above the dinner table leaked significantly and we were forced inside. Really? This isn't a new problem; the roof is a mess. More bandaids. The ice maker, an easy cheap fix, was never fixed. "Sally" encountered the same issue. This is $25 on amazon. And it simply plugs in. Lite bulbs were burnt out all thru the house pretty much in every room. The kitchen didn't have any spices, sugars salt nor pepper. Never had I experienced this level of neglect. I've attached the property condition form and some photos of neglected broken items. Jake thanks for trying to get us a garage to store our stuff however, the one car garage was only partially cleaned out. It did not work out as the door was too narrow for my jet ski trailer or my utility trailer. As well, vegetation was growing over the driveway. So we did not use it. In the end it would have been inconvenient and without a key to the door, less secure. Jii requested a partial refund. I got nothing but crickets . P.S. Of the 20+ years of renting in Avalon and Stone Harbor, the worst condition rental I've ever stayed in. But thanks for responding to some of my complaints.
