Some can feel weirdly intimidating but this one definitely doesn't. One thing I LOVE is that the staff isn't down your throat trying to sell you a million products or force you into a membership. That's honestly the exact reason I ended up signing up. As someone who worked in the tanning industry for years, I know how pushy salons can be, so it was really refreshing to not feel pressured at all. The staff is sooo sweet and helpful. Hannah is the best and Dan is always super attentive and helpful too. You can tell they actually care. The machines are great, everything feels clean, and the prices are fair. I recommend this place to literally everyone I talk to. My only complaint is I wish the elevator worked, it never seems to be running when I'm there ... but that's just me being lazy lol.

Unfortunately, I recently had an uncomfortable experience with one of the employees (I'm not sure of her name, but she was petite and wore glasses). I came in specifically to use the P9S. Another customer was already ahead of me, which I completely understood. However, I was then told that someone else was next in line because they had just made an appointment--even though they weren't physically there yet and weren't expected to arrive for at least another 10 minutes. From a customer perspective, that didn't feel fair. I was already there and ready to tan, and it left me feeling like my time wasn't valued. When I expressed that, the employee responded with, "I'm sorry you feel that way," in a tone that came across as dismissive rather than understanding. I only come in for the P9S, so being offered a different bed wasn't really a solution for me. It was a disappointing experience because I've always enjoyed coming here, and I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I'm hoping this was just an isolated incident because I've otherwise had great experiences over the years. I truly appreciate Dan and would love to continue supporting the business.

I was greeted by the friendly associate as soon as I entered. The check in process was so quick and easy and I was guided to the room with the red light beds. I was thrilled to be able to experience the magic of red light in a full body experience. The room was big and clean and I felt comfortable changing out of my clothes there. The bed was very easy to operate and opened and closed effortlessly. The bed was such an interesting experience and I didn't feel claustrophobic at all. I loved how I could also take my phone in with me during the 15 minutes (I was assured it was safe). I have to admit that this location is the nicest one I've been to. It's spacious and very fresh and clean in all the different areas of the spa. They have a nice and relaxing waiting co-ed lounge where you can have some tea, juice, fruit infused water and fruit. The amenities are not co-ed. There is a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna, and plenty of showers. Everything is kept very clean so that is very much appreciated. The staff were all very nice and helpful as well. They do validate parking for the parking structure that is within the Topanga Village (don't park in the outside 90 min parking, instead drive up into the structure towards Total Wines). I arrived at 1:20 PM after work, expecting to have enough time to shower, wash my face, remove my makeup, and settle in before my appointment. Instead, I was told my appointment had been changed to 1:30 PM. After I showed them my confirmation, the front desk acknowledged that Burke Williams had accidentally changed my reservation without notifying me. At that point, I had no choice but to rush. I had just come from work in the summer heat and didn't want to lie face down on a massage table covered in sweat and makeup. Instead of beginning my spa day feeling relaxed, I was stressed and scrambling because of a mistake that wasn't mine. My massage therapist was wonderful, and this review is not a reflection of her. She gave a great massage, but even that couldn't undo the stressful start to the experience. By the time I was finally able to relax, my massage was almost over. The front desk initially offered me a discount. I was the one who asked whether they could also include a complimentary enhancement, and they agreed. The following day, I called Burke Williams because I still felt the situation hadn't been appropriately addressed and asked to speak with a manager. The manager apologized and offered me a $50 gift card. While I appreciate the apology, I don't believe the resolution matched the impact of Burke Williams' mistake. This wasn't a scheduling mix-up on my end. Burke Williams changed my reservation without my knowledge, admitted it was their mistake, yet I still lost part of the relaxing experience that I paid for. When you book a luxury spa, you're paying for more than the massage itself. You're paying for the opportunity to unwind from the moment you walk in. Because of Burke Williams' mistake, that experience was taken away before my treatment even began.
