The staff literally HARASSED me the entire time I tanned here to buy the tanning lotions that they offered (which are over priced) after explaining to them I had my own tanning lotions that I bought off amazon FOR MUCH CHEAPER. The orange staff members were rude and lied to me about the pricing of their lotions after i felt pressured into buying one she and I quote stated " this ones on sale for $35" the blonde girl who is literally orange rang me up and the price was almost $60. I cancelled my membership because nobody should feel bullied into buying products they firstly don't need and secondly never wanted. I came back after this experience to see if maybe it would be better and it wasn't this time 2 staff members tried to get me to buy MORE lotions like its annoying to feel bur-rated when all you went there to do is tan I PAID LIKE $60 A MONTH. NEVER GO HERE!! I worked at this location and they do not care about the safety of their employees at all. While working I got all my stuff stolen from the break room because it has no lock. With my stuff was my keys and my car was stolen as well. This salon is clean, great prices, and has an almost zero wait time even on the weekends. My first time in and the guy working was really friendly, super helpful, and explained everything really well. They have a great selection of lotions to choose from and samples of the lotions so you can test them before you pick which one you like. The start up fee for a membership is only $10 dollars! Seriously impressive! And the memberships are as low as $14. You honestly can not beat the pricing that they have here with the beds that they have. This place is super clean and they have a lot of beds. The staff is super friendly too...bonus. I needed to tan before I went to Hawaii back in September so I opted for a package. They have many to choose from in all price ranges. I opted for the Mac daddy package, which includes all beds even sunless (spray tan) for $79/month. I always forget that I have this membership until a trip is sneaking up on me and I don't want to look like I've been stuck in a Nebraska winter. The beauty of the instant bed is that you notice a huge difference within 2-3 visits. They have new beds at this location so I'm looking even bronzier than normal...yessss. They usually try to sell me lotion but I politely decline. They do have some good deals going on regularly. Upon check in, they will ask to see your eye wear so make sure you have it. Was not impressed with the service I received at Sun Tan City. I cancelled my membership last October, and they just kept charging me until I noticed one day when I was trying to pull money out of one of my accounts. $220 they charged me after I cancelled, and they refused to give me my money back, saying that I had no proof that I cancelled my membership. I think me not tanning beyond that time is proof enough, but I guess that, and me asking someone to cancel my membership wasn't good enough for them. I would not recommend Sun Tan City to anyone as their company is not customer service oriented, and not willing to do the right thing when they make a mistake and own up to that. Do NOT go to this tanning place. The girls, aka "managers" that work there are complete morons! I went in to tan, but only had this new bronzer, that I had just bought last week, with me. I bought a package deal where you get this Pink bronzer, a hemp lotion, and a shave gel all for $60, which I thought was a decent deal. Well, I remembered that some of my items they ran out of and were on back order. I normally just keep all my tanning stuff in my car and since I only had the bronzer I assumed both were on back order. The girls said they would look into it while I tanned, which was fine. I showed them the bronzer I had and went into my room and got ready to tan... When I got in the bed my FACE STARTED TO BURN!!!!!! I stopped the bed, got out put my clothes on and asked them why my face was burning. The one girl said, "oh well you're not suppose to use that on your face" REALLY!? Well, that WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW! So I asked, well which ones can you use on your face, at which she responded showing me the ONLY 2 PRODUCTS that they have in store. SERIOUSLY, ONLY 2 PRODUCTS ARE GOOD TO USE ON YOUR FACE!? I told her well, when I signed up I mentioned that I have really sensitive skin and the girl helping me said that the Guava product would be good since it's organic and made for people with sensitive skin. The girl/manger this time said, "well no, you're not suppose to use that on your face either" !!!!!! What the F***!?! At this point I was furious and telling her that they REALLY NEED TO TELL PEOPLE WHICH PRODUCTS CAN AND CANNOT BE USED ON THE FACE!!!!! Then she said, "well I guess WE know, but maybe people who are new to tanning wouldn't I guess." NO FKN SHIT!!!! I told her that I mentioned this to the girl who signed me up that I don't tan often and that I have super sensitive skin (which is why I also signed up for spray tanning in my membership). She told me she would give me 2 free bed upgrades and a 33% discount on the face product (which came out to like $26). I was like ok fine I'll do that (trying to be calm at this point and understand the situation). She then said that she needs to communicate better with her employees about stuff like this (DUH!). I just can't believe that they don't tell you when you are BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS what CAN and CAN NOT be used on the face. After that situation was over, I go back into my room, take my clothes off, apply the face lotion and lay in the bed, and the fkn bed doesn't turn on.... I HAD TO STOP THE BED IN THE FIRST PLACE BECAUSE MY FACE WAS BURNING. I go back out and just storm out at this point. Nobody said anything to me as I left. I was only in the bed originally for not even a minute and a half before my face was BURNING UNBEARABLY and had to get out. The second time when the bed wasn't working I had already had it up to my fkn neck with these 2 girls, I just couldn't stand to be in the presence of their stupidity any longer. I was so mad sitting in my car that I decided to go back in and tell them that I not only had a VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE HERE and that I ALSO WASNT EVEN ABLE TO TAN! They both looked at me like they had no commonsense in their heads and said "well we didn't know you stopped the bed". I HAD TO STOP THE BED!! Even if I didn't my time would have run out anyway (8 min tan time) since I had been out there for 15 minutes explaining to these 2 little girls that they need to tell people about their products! They still continued to act clueless and say, "well we didn't know you stopped the bed". That makes no difference!!! You ask if that's going to be an issue with someone going back to tan. I was already very unhappy and they should have made sure NOTHING ELSE WOULD HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM FOR ME!!! I told them NO I AM DONE WITH YOU GIRLS AND STORMED OUT. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE! DO NOT GO HERE! I am canceling my membership (if they let me). The beds are often dirty, the customer service sucks, and most importantly, they DONT TELL YOU ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS. (I don't even think the workers know about their products). POOR MANAGEMENT. FYI my face is now burnt and red all over my chin from this unpleasant experience. It hurts and it itches. read more

I was having a bit of a crisis and needed a very last-minute spray tan. Like, almost closing time. Alea (sp) took my call and was nothing but sweet and professional. Fifteen minutes before close, I came in and she set me up to spray. I apologized, because hey, no one wants to have to clean up after me at 10pm, but Alea was so nice and didn't seem to mind. She helped me choose my spray level (I was pretty nervous about it) and was totally nice and helpful. This is where I think her true professionalism showed though. As Alea was helping me, a crazy lady walked over to us, shirt half buttoned, rambling on and on and being generally crazy, but Alea didn't miss a beat. She smiled, wished the lady a good night, and continued helping me. By now I'm thinking, this poor girl is having a terrible night, but as I headed out in the rain, she even offered to walk me to my car with an umbrella! What a sweetheart. The salon is very clean and probably the nicest I've ever been in. The wait time is never too long either On the negative side, the consultants are ALWAYS trying to sell me more products. When I am in a hurry and want to get in and tan, it always takes much longer because they are pushing their products so hard. I tell them I have all the necessary lotions and that I am not interested and yet they still tell me I need more and that I do not have the right/best ones. I had a significant freeze credit from not tanning during COVID, I unfroze my account and instead of applying the charges to unfreeze, which were ridiculous, and the cost of my new bottle of lotion to my account credit they charged my credit card on file instead without permission. I asked for a receipt to be sent to me, which ended up being a blank PDF, I do not believe that was intentional, just one of those things, I mentioned it when I went in to tan next, and asked for it to be resent. They didn't do it. I think get my credit card statement showing the charges from the day I unfroze my account. I reached out to Customer Service on the website as the guy working there was clueless, they told me I couldn't get an account statement nor a copy of the receipt. I explained that that was not acceptable, the charges were to be applied to my freeze credit but they are showing up on my credit card. Several emails later, I asked for a manager. The area manager called me, I explained what happened and she said she would take care of it. More than 2 weeks later the charges still had not been taken care of. I sent a text requesting status and was told by the manager that it would be resolved that day. No update, texted the next day, still no update. I find the whole thing deceptive. Also, there is now a membership fee in addition to the monthly charges, that I was not made aware of and was charged to my credit card. Stay away from this place. read more

So I walked in looking for a light to medium spray tan and when I walked out of the booth I noticed how it was not the usual one I use. After coming to the front desk I was assured that it was all ok and it was what I had asked for. However, after being sprayed I noticed how my tan did not show up. My first impression was that I had gotten the light tan or if it was the clear formula. I had gone to the desk and asked to double check to see if I had gotten the right thing and they then decided to share with me that I had received a DARK tan. I am a very fair skinned girl who can rarely get a medium tan without it being drastic. The woman who had originally put my information into the system then decided to leave out of embarrassment. I wish I could click zero stars. I am COMPLETELY upset. I have a coupon to get a free SPRAY tan and so I go in and tell them I want a spray tan before prom wishing to make an appointment and they were like come Thursday after work no big deal and we will do it no appointment so I'm like sweet and after work Thursday I go there. First of all there is a 30 minute wait AT 10 AT NIGHT with 3 customers... Okay. Second of all you have to be 18 which the girl never mentioned once. I would understand if it was a tanning bed but it was only a spray tan. I have gotten PLENTY of spray tans around Omaha and NEVER once had a problem with age. The guy was EXTREMELY rude and told me "I needed to read the fine print" okay who even reads the fine print so I'm like okay here talk to my mom. My mom was nice and offered to come in person. They said fine but I would have to pay... YET I HAVE A COUPON FOR A FREE SPRAY TAN. So I was like okay fine my mom will come out of her way and I will pay for the damn tan. Well I told them to put me on the wait but now apparently there was a 40 MINUTE WAIT with now 2 customers. Okay now this guy was extremely rude and jacking around with his co workers. Okay so I said no I have things to do I'm not waiting 40 minutes when my mom came in yesterday and got one in 15 minutes.... Shitty place. Shitty service. I am usually NEVER the one to complain, honestly this is my first negative review ever, but this NEEDS TO BE HEARD FOR ANYONE WHO IS CURRENTLY A MEMBER OR ANYTHING THINKING ABOUT A MEMBERSHIP. I recently changed banks (from Pinnacle to First National), I went into SuntanCity in the beginning of February JUST to change my payment plan to my new bank account, the staff member double checked that she put in my correct bank information so I thought nothing of it. March 24th 2017 I received a letter from my old bank account saying I owe $94.56 IN OVERDRAFT CHARGES. Since I pulled most of my money out of my old account, and put it into my new account I did not have enough money in there to pay the my monthly membership fees (which was supposed to be changed 3 weeks prior to my new bank account), my bank initially charged me an overdraft fee of $32.00 on March 2, and I have unknowingly been getting charged an additional overdraft fee of $4 EACH DAY, 23 days later, I have nearly $100 in overdraft charges. Today I went into a different SunTanCity location (96th and Q) to address the problem, I was being nice and simply wanted the issue to be resolved. The staff was so nice to me, she tried to do everything she could to solve the problem, and felt terrible to say the least. She called the head manager, who contacted someone else and ALL THEY "WERE ABLE TO DO" was give me ONE free level 4 bed tan. There was proof that I had tried to change my bank information and this whole issue wasn't my fault at all. Apparently SunTanCity is "NOT LIABLE FOR OVERDRAFT FEES," and are NOT willing to reimburse me for their own mistakes. I then called management myself, and they said the same thing to me, the lady on the phone was very rude, and said that she cannot file a statement to corporate because she would get into trouble. SunTanCity made it MORE THAN OBVIOUS that they don't care about their customers. I did not get any money reimbursed to me nor an apology from the management team; instead the only thing they were willing to accommodate was ONE free level 4 tan, and now I am left responsible for paying nearly $100 in overdraft fees. I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years, and this just goes to show that they really don't care about customers what so ever. I have told several of my friends to join SunTanCity, however now I am going to tell EVERYONE what happened and to NEVER become a member, because if they are willing to do this to a loyal customer that has spent well over $500, they are more than willing to do it to anyone else. read more
